Everything was perfect. It is beautiful, the service is top tier and the food was exceptional. I would not want to eat here every week as it should be reserved for special occasions. You will pay the price but it was worth every penny. The chef's tasting menu at Fearington House was one of the best meals we have ever enjoyed. Comparable to Melisse in Santa Monica, which is another favorite. Especially good for foodies, presentation and flavors were interesting and well done. You know you are in a special place the moment you arrive in the village and stroll through the gardens on the way to the restaurant. The accolades are justified and you would be hard pressed to find a more romantic setting. Chef Bedford's elevation to Grand Chef in the Relais house is well earned, and his menu is stunning. This chef is at the top of his game, and success has not gone to his head. Take advantage of the limited time 20% on line booking discount and you have the makings of a memorable evening. Extra touches like the amuse bouche, petit fours, personalized signed anniversary menu and a staff that aims to please makes this a special place indeed. The food was exquisite and there were at least 3 special tasting dishes from the chef. They also sent us home with an array of chocolates and a box of truffles for our anniversary.
