Fearing'sFantastic! We decided on this restaurant for our Anniversary celebration and was so glad that we did! Dean Fearing gave us an Anniversary Card signed personally and came by our table and spoke with us for a few minutes. The entire evening was elegant but also with a casual feeling of not being 'stuffy' at all. This restaurant cuisine is unlike any other and is well worth the money spent especially if for a special occasion. We will definitely return.5/11/2013 12:00:00 AM5-Star Restaraunt, 5-Star ReviewI chose this restaurant to celebrate Mother's Day and had an excellent experience. I called ahead to have flowers on the table, and they were very helpful, offering a variety of price-points and flower options for me from their floral provider, Bella Flora. When we arrived and were guided to our table, the bouquet was amazing. It had several flowers that neither of us could name but were absolutely beautiful. As for the food, it was perfect although one could hardly expect less from the restaurant within the Ritz-Carlton. The service was wonderful, from the door-to-door valet to the gentleman who unobtrusively and continually filled our water glasses. This was not my first experience with Fearing's, and I sorely hope it will not be my last.5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMAnother awesome experience! Not only is the food outstanding, but I cannot recall another restaurant in Dallas where the man whose name is on it came by our table not once, but twice to see how we were enjoying our meal. His food is inventive and delicious while Dean himself is a class act!5/10/2013 12:00:00 AMA Fabulous Birthday!I invited my friend to celebrate his 50th birthday and t was a smash hit at Fearings! The staff was so fabulous bringing a glass of champagne from thin air and then seated us a t a wonderful table..they are all great. Then the action began with the most incredible food, service and fun!!
My friend being a foodie has dined at every name in Dallas with 5 * but he did not realize he just had the best dining experience of them all in Dallas at Fearings!!
So it was a great day for me as I made the best choice as well as for him!
Thank you Open Table for making it so easy to make reservations at this gem.5/10/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellent!I was there for a business lunch with 5 others, and we all thoroughly enjoyed our food.5/9/2013 12:00:00 AMA Real TreatThe service was precise and timely, yet not rushed. The waitress could not have been nicer. On her recommendation, I ordered the classic tortilla soup, with its 30 year history of fame. Unfortunately it was a bit too spicy to my taste, and I mentioned it and it was immediately replaced by a safe Caesar salad. The main course was salmon, done to perfection as ordered (medium rare) on a bed of crunchy polenta cake and spinach with a spinach taco that was to die for. Having no more room for desert, I was still given a tasty chocolate bon bon which melted in the mouth. The nice touch of free parking was a bonus. I would definitely make this a destination restaurant.5/9/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellent.Second visit to Fearings. Outstanding food, service, and wine. The staff was extremely helpful, attentive, and respectful. Chef Fearing stopped by the table twice, which was a nice touch. Great business dinner.5/6/2013 12:00:00 AMVery ritzy restaurant in Ritz CarltThis is the sort of place where waiters are always standing by to pull out and push in your seat. This is a fancy restaurant in every sense of the word, with prices to match. The waiters hover obediently and the entrees are priced at $44-48 each. The buffalo steak I ordered rare was cooked to perfection. Appetizers were equally superb. Antelope is also offered on the menu. If you are looking for a special place to celebrate a special occasion, this is it. For anything else, it may be a little over the top. This is NOT a casual restaurant.5/6/2013 12:00:00 AMBest place in DallasFor a special occasion, or if you're looking to impress, Fearings at the Ritz-Carlton is definitely the stand out resturant in Dallas. The food is beautifully presented, serenly simple (at least on paper!) - but simply delicious. A real treat.5/5/2013 12:00:00 AMWe love fearings - creativeWe love fearings - creative and good food with Excellent service5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMOur reservation was for 845Our reservation was for 845 but they were running late so we ate at bar. Great experience. Bartenders were attentive and interesting. Access to full dining menu as well as very good bar menu.5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMFearingsGreat restaurant by great chef. Our anniversary and we were made to feel specail and at home. I could not ask for anything more. And by the way, the food was excellent!5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMOutstanding dinnerIn Dallas for a conference and a little research suggested Fearings for dinner. We were greeted by Dean Fearing himself and he answered our questions about the menu. We split an appetizer of crabcakes, duck and lobster tacos that was excellent. My husband had the antelope with rabbit tacos and I had the halibut in lobster sauce. Both were excellent. I wish that he would open a restaurant in NYC!5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat Food and ServiceMy wife and I went to Fearings for the first time (May 2013) and had an incredible experience. The food, service and ambiance was great. We will be coming back.5/1/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat ambience, great service.Great ambience, great service. Mediocre food for a high-end restaurant like this.4/27/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellent Dining ExperienceDinner from the food, service and ambiance was in a word - phenomenal. Loved it. I truly cannot think of one criticism.4/27/2013 12:00:00 AMMemorable mealThere is an option to dine in a quiet room, which I very much appreciate. At this price level, I don't want to have to shout. You will have to forgo your diet for this meal, but it is worth it. Servings are huge, including appetizers. The fried Blue Point oysters are served on spinach in the shell, in Fearing's version of oysters Rockefeller, and they are the best fried oysters you will ever eat. Service is more casual than, say, the French room, but every bit as attentive.4/26/2013 12:00:00 AMWent for my son's birthday.Went for my son's birthday. It was wonderful and the food was outstanding.4/21/2013 12:00:00 AMTerrific all around and theTerrific all around and the food was outstanding. We shared the "whole enchilada"....certainly enough food for 2.4/21/2013 12:00:00 AMWe had a very special nightWe had a very special night at Fearings. Dean Fearing was visiting each table and wanted to know how the food was, when I told him my steak was over cooked he dashed off to make me a new one and served it himself and later came back to make sure everything was perfect. The level of service is outstanding from everyone.4/20/2013 12:00:00 AMBest in DallasFearings continues to be our favorite restaurant in Dallas. The food & service are always consistently excellent. Andrew their sommelier always has a great recommendation for a tasty bottle of wine. Our favorites are the Lobster Nachos (on the bar menu but you can order in the restaurant as well), Quail, Buffalo & Nilgal. Every dessert we have tried has been delicious but the banana pudding with biegnets is my favorite. Also, they have the best coffee in Dallas, very hot & with warm cream. I also love that Dean is always making the rounds in the dining rooms to make sure all his guests are happy. One more interesting note is that they have 3 different rooms that all have a different feel. Our favorite is the one closest to the kitchen.4/20/2013 12:00:00 AMWe had a fantastic time forWe had a fantastic time for our "administrative professionals day" luncheon. Thank you so much!!
My hubby & I would LOVE to visit you for dinner!4/18/2013 12:00:00 AMPERECT!Another extraordinary meal at Fearing's. Best lunch choice on the menu: the salmon, which is divine. Ask Paul for wine recommendations. Anything he recommends will be perfect. A plus is that the restaurant is in the Ritz-Carlton Hotel. In the lobby, note the magnificent floral display. A great restaurant in a great location!4/17/2013 12:00:00 AMIt was my bırthday. The staffIt was my bırthday. The staff was very attentıve but not overly so. I was treated to cake wıth a candle and they served my 12 year old a pınot noır grape juıce ın a wıne glass so that she could properly toast my bırthday! It's my favorıte bırthday place!4/17/2013 12:00:00 AMOUTSTANDING IN EVERY WAY.OUTSTANDING IN EVERY WAY. Dean stopped by the table and checked on our meal and the atmosphere was wonderful. We will be back as well as recommend it to our friends.4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMFood was unique and delicious.Food was unique and delicious. Service was outstanding. Dean Fearing came by and visited our table as he apparently did with every guess to ask us about our experience.very personable.4/12/2013 12:00:00 AMLove Love it!! EspeciallyLove Love it!! Especially love seeing Dean visit with all the guests....he is a regular when I've eaten there.4/12/2013 12:00:00 AMA Memorable Working Lunch! We requested a reservation for 5 simply in a quiet part of the restaurant at lunch for a business meeting. We arrived to find a beautifully set table in a gorgeous wine room which could be shut off from the main dining area noise while retaining the outside light and view. The staff was attentive and kept the doors closed and the music down in the wine room so we could proceed with business. The food was creatively spectacular and very reasonably priced. My only regret was that it was a work day and there was no time to linger with a nice glass of wine; or two. Fearing's is truly a Dallas gem where the details are all correctly addressed.4/12/2013 12:00:00 AMThe composition of the dishesThe composition of the dishes was both innovative and harmonious. A delight for our palates. The wait staff was unobtrusive. They did not rudely talk into a conversation that may have been going as it is the annoying custom elsewhere, but quietly waited to speak until spoken to. At the same time they were not stuffy but very friendly.4/7/2013 12:00:00 AMWonderful. My food could notWonderful. My food could not have been any better. Lobster Bisque, Buffalo tenderloin, Chocolate mousse, coffee, wine, martini. In fact, I couldn't believe the melt in my mouth tenderness of the buffalo and everything else on the plate highlighted the buffalo. The lobster bisque was want-to-lick-the-bowl-clean.4/6/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat dinner. There was aGreat dinner. There was a little mixup with the order but it was corrected immediately and the service and experience was outstanding.4/6/2013 12:00:00 AMI thought the food was goodI thought the food was good but felt it was a little over the top - flavors and herbs was too overpowering. I'm no chef but know what food I like. My suggestion is easy on the flare and let the flavors of the food come through.4/6/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat expectationsWe had high expectations, and Fearing's delivered-- great service, interesting menu, and great food!4/5/2013 12:00:00 AMHave you ever rented a movieHave you ever rented a movie that ended up being so good that you seriously considered having sex with the DVD case...? This was that movie.4/4/2013 12:00:00 AMI really appreciate the laidI really appreciate the laid back style of Fearing's. Chef Fearning made it extra special by visiting each table. The food is fabulous and the staff, superb. The wine staff promptly replaced a bottle that had oxidized.4/2/2013 12:00:00 AMBetter than I expected andBetter than I expected and I was expecting a lot! The service was incredible. Our waiter knew just how to pace the meal. The sommelier kept bringing us things to try with our meal and served us a glass of champagne upon our arrival to our table. Dean Fearing came out and introduced himself and welcomed us. I had the fois gras for my appetizer and it was wonderful. My husband got antelope (what?) - and it was delicious as well. Our meal was quite memorable and was in a beautiful setting. Well done, Dean!We will be back!4/2/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat location with nice lookingGreat location with nice looking guests. Definitely a hot spot for impressing a date.3/30/2013 12:00:00 AMExceptional Food / Great ExperienceExceptional food, thoughtfully prepared, plated and tabled with precision, with service that was consistently on top of their game, but careful to not intrude. The cuisine was marvelous, combining a unique blend of southwestern married with elegance. It's hard to find menu quite like this one, and compliments to the Chef for his creativity and passion, which boldly displays itself with each meal. The Texas Surf and Turf was great. Excellent job, and thank you for a great dining evening.3/30/2013 12:00:00 AMTremendous restaurant fromTremendous restaurant from rich, warm and vibrant tones, high ceilings, energetic yet professional staff, and amazingly prepared food. Sunday brunch can be VERY slow, but most times service excellent:3/24/2013 12:00:00 AMNothing to Fear at Fearing'sDean has got himself another success and is serving up some "Rock'in" dishes that make you feel like he has "Momma" watching over the kitchen staff. Sauces excel with flavors that rock the food chemistry.
Michael our server was outstanding and the staff assists were on point.3/24/2013 12:00:00 AMIt was a spectacular evening. It was a spectacular evening. everything was terrific. Well worth the expense.3/24/2013 12:00:00 AMWe selected the brunch forWe selected the brunch for my mother's 79th birthday. From the moment we checked in and were seated and throughout the entire brunch, the staff was very attentive, friendly and fun, paying special attention to my Mom. As for the food it was very good and when we had special request it was never problem. I ordered the tortilla soup to start and it was a little bit salty to my taste. Others at the table who ordered the tortilla soup liked it just fine. I then had the fried chicken as a main course and while the chicken was absolutely delicious it could have been a little crispier on the outside. Since we had a large table there was an abundance of desserts to choose from and all were scrumptious.3/24/2013 12:00:00 AMThis was my second trip toThis was my second trip to Fearings and I may be suffering from an overly romantized meal the first time around, but the food was not as great as I remembered. The lobster bisque soup was average at best, almost sour. The crab cake appetizer was also sub-standard: The mini lobster tacos on the plate were basically taco shells with avacado in them. The crab cakes themselves were ok. The best part of the meal was the meat. My husband had the antelope and I had the buffalo. Both were superb. I didn't remember the restuarant having such a Tex Mex flavor, but all of the accoutrements were tamales, enchiladas, tacos, etc. Overall, the meal wasn't bad, but not as good as I remembered/hoped.3/24/2013 12:00:00 AM
