From the appetizer to the main course I was shocked at how good everything was. Then the fried blueberry pie blew me away. I just got engaged at the Mansion and I was very dissipointed in the food.   • "I went to Fearings expecting a very flavorful, interesting menu. Other than the Lobster Ginger Bisque, the food was ordinary or downright bland. The portions were extremely small, even by Fearings own past history standards. When he was at the Mansion, I would have to go out to eat right after I ate at Fearings. And, he doesn't lack for pricing. When I pay $55 for an entre in Dallas, I expect $55 worth of flavor, etc. Daniels he is not. Joe Mannke, he is not. Overall, the Food was Ok, the Pricing High, but, the Service was very good. The wine selection was not remarkable either. I have seen better wine lists on lesser restaurants. I would rather eat at a Perry's, Capital Grille, or Dakotas--on Akard in Dallas."

  • "The food was fantastic, and the service superb. Lets be clear, at Fearings you are paying for what you get - this place is NOT cheap. In fact, at this point it is the most expensive restaurant to which I have ever taken my wife (or myself for that matter). That said, it was a special occasion and worth every penny. Our waiter, Andrew, was phenomenal, and one of their wine stewards, so he knew the list inside and out. Rather than a stuffy high-brow restaurant - Fearings feels more like some of the high end restaurants in Hawaii. Great food, nice people, I can't wait to go back."

  • "We went to Fearing's to celebrate my sister's birthday and all four of us were overwhelmed with the quality of the food and service were were provided. The tortilla soup and lobster bisque were terrific followed by a beef and chicken fried lobster combination. The rib tacos were fantastic, as well. The meal was finished off with a superb banana pudding accompanied by "melt-in -your-mouth" beignets!! My sister got a little chocolate cake with a candle for dessert and a personalized birthday card."

  • "Went here with my girlfriend for her birthday. Staff treats you right and the Chef actually comes out and checks with the patrons a couple of times throughout the meal. The staff is super helpful and friendly, but tend to intrude on personal conversations at times by breaking in to refill things or clear away dining utensils/plates. Menu is very creative and was well-prepared and paired. Just very good quality, not outstanding, over the top food, but solid and appetizing. A nice touch was bringing us a chocolate square of chocolate poppers and icing cake with a candle for my girlfriend. Great wine list but a little pricey as usual. Overall a good, quality dining and eating out experience."

  • "Decided to try Fearing's as a different place to celebrate anniversary. The tortilla soup was good but nothing spectacular. The quail with wedge salad was good. For main course, the ribeye was very overpowered by the mop sauce. You couldn't taste the steak. The buffalo tenderloin was tasty."

Signature bone in ribeye was tough. The item that stood out was the fried asparagus. The wine service was incredible. Perfect pairings. Dessert was perfect. Service was attentive. Atmosphere was relaxing, comfortable and up-scale."

  • "Have been in Dallas multiple times and never occurred to me to eat right downstairs. Normally prefer to get out of the hotel and know the city but what a mistake. Some of the best dishes I ever had are right there. If you like foie gras, it doesn't get any better. They are known for the tortilla soup and its well deserved. Steak was one of the best I ever had and the chicken fried lobster is delicious. Staff is friendly and professional, service was excellent."

  • "We went with a group of 10 for my girlfriend's birthday brunch. We had no problem getting seated promptly, and the restaurant never seemed extremely crowded. The service was a little spotty for an establishment of this level, but we did have a large group. We made a point of sampling as many things from the menu as possible, and everything was delicious. Helpful pointer: the brunch portions are actually quite large for both appetizers and main dishes; we over-ordered, assuming haute cuisine mini-portions. I would highly recommend for brunch."

  • "From Dean himself rounding tables to the exquisite plating this place hit it out of the park for my wife and I. For our anniversary we got a card and a piece of wedding cake that was thoughtful. We will be back if not just for the carpacio and a drink. The only thing is the drink (non-wine) menu is a little short so come knowing what you want to drink."

  • "Fearing's exceeded or matched every expectation I had prior to dining at the restaurant. The only downside was not being seated on time, but Rida offered us a couple of glasses of Champaign (complementary) while we were waiting. The food was exceptional, and the service was great without being intrusive. I highly recommend Fearing's, and I will definitely be back. If you don't feel like having a full dinner, and you want to have a drink and a couple of appetizers, I recommend the inside bar area, and the outside patio. It is great for people watching too."
