We went to Fearing's to celebrate my sister's birthday and all four of us were overwhelmed with the quality of the food and service were were provided. The tortilla soup and lobster bisque were terrific followed by a beef and chicken fried lobster combination. The rib tacos were fantastic, as well. The meal was finished off with a superb banana pudding accompanied by "melt-in -your-mouth" beignets!! My sister got a little chocolate cake with a candle for dessert and a personalized birthday card.

Everyone at this restaurant was wonderful. The sommelier went out of his way. The food was out of this world. We have dined many places and this ranks right up there with the best. Side note: We've eaten in many "famous" chef's restaurant and more often than not come away disappointed. Dean Fearing's place was superb.

Went here with my girlfriend for her birthday. Staff treats you right and the Chef actually comes out and checks with the patrons a couple of times throughout the meal. The staff is super helpful and friendly, but tend to intrude on personal conversations at times by breaking in to refill things or clear away dining utensils/plates. Menu is very creative and was well-prepared and paired. Just very good quality, not outstanding, over the top food, but solid and appetizing. A nice touch was bringing us a chocolate square of chocolate poppers and icing cake with a candle for my girlfriend. Great wine list but a little pricey as usual. Overall a good, quality dining and eating out experience.

Our ability to appreciate the inventive, delicious offerings was greatly diminished by inappropriate music for fine dining. A bar-scene soundtrack made for a very incongruous culinary experience. Very unfortunate because the food was excellent.

It is very notable that Mr. Fearing is a standing classic and that his restaurant represents creativity, authenticity, and amazing flavors! Every forkful more than satisfied our palates beyond what we could ever imagine! Every item had its own eclectic feature surrounded by flavor and freshness, enticing and exotic, topped off with distinctive yumminess! A one of a kind experience, that included a beautiful restaurant setting. The staff was knowledgeable, polite and eager to please and always made sure the best was always on our table. Fearing's could be an addiction as it left us weak in the knees, wanting more, but not taking away what we had already devoured!

A trip to Fearings for a special occasion is just a memorable dining experience. The restaurant was buzzing with activity; yet the service was impeccable and the food outstanding. They can handle any special request, including diet or food allergy concerns, virtually on the fly. We were celebrating a birthday and they made it special. Excellent food, good wine, great service - a wonderful evening.

Decided to try Fearing's as a different place to celebrate anniversary. The tortilla soup was good but nothing spectacular. The quail with wedge salad was good. For main course, the ribeye was very overpowered by the mop sauce. You couldn't taste the steak. The buffalo tenderloin was tasty.

Have been looking forward to eating at Fearings after move from the Mansion. Expectations were high. Appetizers were good. Mains were good as well. Chicken fried lobster batter was gummy. Signature bone in ribeye was tough. The item that stood out was the fried asparagus. The wine service was incredible. Perfect pairings. Dessert was perfect. Service was attentive. Atmosphere was relaxing, comfortable and up-scale.

Have been in Dallas multiple times and never occurred to me to eat right downstairs. Normally prefer to get out of the hotel and know the city but what a mistake. Some of the best dishes I ever had are right there. If you like foie gras, it doesn't get any better. They are known for the tortilla soup and its well deserved. Steak was one of the best I ever had and the chicken fried lobster is delicious. Staff is friendly and professional, service was excellent.

We went with a group of 10 for my girlfriend's birthday brunch. We had no problem getting seated promptly, and the restaurant never seemed extremely crowded. The service was a little spotty for an establishment of this level, but we did have a large group. We made a point of sampling as many things from the menu as possible, and everything was delicious. Helpful pointer: the brunch portions are actually quite large for both appetizers and main dishes; we over-ordered, assuming haute cuisine mini-portions. I would highly recommend for brunch.

From Dean himself rounding tables to the exquisite plating this place hit it out of the park for my wife and I. For our anniversary we got a card and a piece of wedding cake that was thoughtful. Fearing's exceeded or matched every expectation I had prior to dining at the restaurant. The only downside was not being seated on time, but Rida offered us a couple of glasses of Champaign (complementary) while we were waiting. The food was exceptional, and the service was great without being intrusive. I highly recommend Fearing's, and I will definitely be back. If you don't feel like having a full dinner, and you want to have a drink and a couple of appetizers, I recommend the inside bar area, and the outside patio. It is great for people watching too.

We went to Fearings for an anniversary dinner with our family. Setting was beautiful and Chef Fearing greeted us at our table(very charming). The somm was incredibly nice and knowledgeable and suggested two stellar bottles. The appetizers were each amazing(trio of lobster taco, short rib enchilada, and crab cake) tortilla soup, lobster bisque, fried oysters. All just incredible. The entrees were not so much. We all tried different items and the bone rib eye(too much sauce),lamb(too many weird sauces), buffalo tenderloin. All just not good. The halibut entree was the only one that was good. Given the prices there were highlights bot not enough. If I did it again, I would order a bowl of tortilla soup and an appetizer and called it a night.

We made reservations to celebrate our anniversary . The waiters were not very attentive. They placed our dinner menus in front of us, then asked if we wanted a drink. I had to ask for the wine list 3 times. They seemed to be "checked out" -it was like they did not even hear me. One waiter interrupted our conversation twice. The shirts the waiters were wearing looked like they had been washed one too many times and were ill fitting. This experience did not live up to what I consider to be a 5 star restaurant. I will say the carpaccio was delicious. Our friends ordered the beef with the corn pudding and the corn pudding was actually burned - this is unacceptable for this restaurant.

We lived in Dallas for over 35 years , recently retiring into the trees of east Texas. On a whim we decided to treat ourselves to a night in the city and to dinner at Fearing. What a special surprise to have the Chef himself stop by the table , not once but twice during our dinner. The iconic dishes such as the tortilla soup were certainly outstanding, as were the featured main courses, Halibut and also the Lamb Chop with the grilled Shrimp with curry sauce. Service was better than anywhere we have experienced in years. Atmosphere was vibrant and alive with activity and energy. I've been all over the world and would be hard pressed to remember a better more satisfying evening.
