  • "We were surprised to find the restaurant uncrowded on a Saturday evening. Out waitress, who said she'd been working there for 4 years, was superb - friendly, knowledgeable, attentive. The menu had so many excellent choices that we knew we would have to return for another visit very soon. We loved the goat cheese appetizer. The butternut squash soup was OK, but not memorable. The entrees were all excellent; I had the Linguini Diavalo, and it was very flavorful and not overly spicy; my wife enjoyed the lamb chops. We will definitely return next time we're in SLC."

  • "We have been to Faustina twice in the past year. Mothers day brunch food was very good but the service was unacceptable. We had to get up and get our own coffee. At our most recent visit, April 2014, again the food was delicious-yummy but tiny small plates such as polenta with ribs- but the service was subpar. We had to ask about the specials, our server did not fill our wine glasses once and brought the wrong entree for one in our party. They should fix the hole in the ceiling."

  • "The fried goat cheese is a must and the chicken puff was delicious. Unfortunately, I did not like the blueberry souffle but the waiter was kind enough to get me something else. It just wasn't pleasing to my palate but the couple sitting across from me really loved it."

  • "I've dined at Faustina three times over the past year, once for brunch with a group of 8, once for lunch with a party of 2 and once for dinner with a party of two. Every time, the food has been superb and the service excellent. Servers are pleasant and attentive without being overbearing. Recently, we arrived at 6:00 with reservations and were seated immediately. Within 10 minutes, I had a cocktail in hand. My husband had shrimp scampi which he really enjoyed. I had the two-way filet which had a small serving of filet Oscar and another with peppercorn sauce. Everything was delicious. We will definitely return."

  • "We chose Faustina because it had been on our "list" of places to try in SLC for a long time. We picked it because we were out for a birthday celebration with a group (10) and wanted something with a "fancy" feel and high quality food that a variety of tastes would like. Everything lived up to our hopes! The bread and oil/vinegar dip was outstanding! The food was fantastic! Everyone ordered something different and all the dishes were wonderful! The service was good, though a little slow, but nothing we minded about since we were there for a celebration anyway. I would definitely come back for the food, the atmosphere, and the experience! Great place in a cute little SLC neighborhood!"

  • "Went to Faustina for a small, three couples get-together on a recent Sunday. They start serving brunch at 9AM; we got there at 10AM, and it was peaceful and fairly quiet. Brunch food choices were excellent. We loved the pancakes drizzled with caramel...they melted in your mouth! Egg dishes were very good. They don't start serving alcoholic drinks until 11:30AM (crazy Utah law) so take note if you need a Bloody Mary or the like!"

  • "I have been going to Faustina 4-5 times a year since they opened, and I still really enjoy it. The decor and ambience is great. It is quiet enough to hear your dinner companions' conversation, yet lively enough to not feel like you're the only ones in the establishment. The Linguini Diavalo is my very favorite, and it didn't disappoint when I visited again last week on my way to The Leonardo. I will be returning sooner than normal so that I can try the small plates. The patio is great for outdoor dining in the warmer weather too! The service is always, and I mean always, impeccable. The servers are attentive without being overbearing and very knowledgeable about the menu and wines."

Everthing arrived at the table meticulously plated for an appetizing first impression as well as arranged for maximum ease of dining. All of the items I tried were cooked flawlessly. Not to be missed: almond stuffed dates wrapped in exceptionally flavorful and meaty bacon, on the Small Plates menu. Service could not have been more helpful, educational or attentive."

  • "Faustina was running their St Valentine's Day special the day after, recognizing that not everyone can get out for dinner that night - considerate of them. It was a four-course meal with a choice of main dish. I had the coq au vin and it was really tasty. The service was attentive but not intrusive. Although the restaurant was busy, the noise levels were low. It has a really nice ambiance, which is a rare thing in Utah. I'd happily recommend Faustina for anyone going out on a date or for a quiet dinner with two or three friends."

  • "We arrived and were quickly seated, that was good, and the person that seated us said a girl’s name would be with us shortly. We did not see anyone for quite some time, and then the person that seated us came over and said he would be helping us. We ordered cocktails he took our order then came back and said first they don't have apple pucker, and they can't make a French martini ok so we settled for a Cosmo. He then came back with French martinis and a Gin and splash of tonic for our other friend the glass was a tumbler half full of ice and gin with a splash of tonic. The server told us the special a butter fish dish that was like salmon and trout and tuna??? We then ordered a bottle of wine and to our surprise not in stock! Good Food!"

  • "But the tip calculation provided on the bill was wrong. A 20% tip on $100 is $20. But their calculation was higher, because they added in the tax before they calculated the 20%. That's a no-no! The valentine's day food was great. Too many people hoovering hoovering waiting for that empty glass."
