This is a small, comfortable restaurant tucked away in a short street. It was like eating in a small dining room. Very comfortable with regular comfort food.

Went for Valentines Day...under staffed, stuffed in the back room with bright lights. We never ate...ended up walking out.

When we arrived for our 7:30pm reservation on Valentine's Day we noticed in the main dining room there were almost no occupied tables that had been served any food (the room was full). We were ushered to the back building where there were two rooms. There were 6-10 tables in the first room and 10 tables in the room where we were seated. Looking around the room we noticed again that only 2 tables had any food at all and it was just an appetizer. We could see the writing on the wall and left. The hostess told us that there was only one waitress for the 2 back rooms and that the kitchen was also short staffed. Very disappointing, but we managed to obtain seating and a delicious & romantic meal in a nearby restaurant without much wait at all.

While we understand that Valentine Day is an extremely busy day for restaurants, we were disappointed on the quality of the food. The scallop dish had a massive amount of mushy jazmine rice, topped with a table spoon of spinach and 3 and 1/2 medium size scallops on each corner. Not what I expected for the price.

I haven't been back for years because when it first changed ownership, the food went downhill. I met a friend for lunch there because it was a half-way point for us. I was pleasantly surprised that the food was really good and plentiful. I had the chicken pesto sandwich and it was delicious. My friend had the turkey soup and chicken salad sandwich. Her half sandwich was almost the same size as my full sandwich. For the soup, she was expecting a small cup but it came in a full sized bowl. It was delicious as well. I would definitely go back again. Service was great too.

It was our first time there. The server and the owner chatted with three out of the four tables there but not us! I guess it shouldn't matter to me but if they want repeat business you'd think they would chat with the new people and make them feel like they were important too! I expected more and was very disappointed. Not sure we will be back even though the food was excellent!

Not too mention great food! Portions just right, and although it can be a wait sometimes when it's busy, so worth it. Love this place for the great vibes, whether it's kareoki night with Kelly belting out Santa Baby or an new band/artist. Always a good time, and when it's nice out, the patio area is awesome.

I was looking for a special place to impress a friend who lives on the Peninsula. I found it!! She was impressed as was I. I have close friends who live in the Clayton/Concord area and we frequently try different restaurants in the Danville area. I will be pleased to recommend Father Natrure's Hideaway. Seems I have found a gem!!!

This was the first dinner service I tried. The food was great! The small dining area seemed quite noisy but didn't deter us from having a good conversation. Everything quieted down when the Comedy Show started. The comedians were very talented. I highly recommend Father Natures Hideaway with or without entertainment.

We always knew about Father Nature's Hideaway, but just tried it for the first time. It was such a pleasant surprise. Our wait person treated us like long lost friends. She was awesome, and we felt really comfortable. My boyfriend and I shared the spinach salad and the special appetizer artichokes. Plenty of food there, but I did manage to eat most of my chicken piccata -- very good. My boyfriend had the lobster ravioli and shared a bite. Really tasty, and the vodka sauce was a great compliment to the ravioli. All in all, one of the best meals we've ever had. We will definitely be going back. I'm sure the outside seating would be great in the summer. Another restaurant to add to our "favorites" list!

We dined late in the evening and the place was quiet. The staff was friendly, but inattentive, thus earning a poor rating for service. The food came in huge quantities, but was of mediocre quality. We tried a Bruschetta appetizer with cheese and apricots and the combination didn't really work. We had roast chicken with couscous and the chicken was very salty in parts. The couscous was watery. We also had chicken piccata that was tough and had too much lemon juice. The mashed potatoes and green beans were bland. The decor is attractive, with a high, open beam ceiling of light wood. Unfortunately, you can't eat the decor.

Father Nature's has a woodsy feel and great ambience and the view out the front windows of Prospect Street gives the small town feel we original Danville peeps love. For years this has been a terrific place for breakfast and lunch. Tammy has extended this to include dinner. The crew seems to feel fondness for each other, so makes for a friendlier place. Business was pretty slow the night we were there, so hopefully they will be able to hang in there. The musicians were a pleasant surprise, tho we ate outside for more quiet for conversation; came inside to finish our wine to listen and recall the days of music at the old Danville Hotel (35 years ago). Good appetizers, entrees, not sure about desserts - next time!

My husband & I have been going to Father Natures for years & have always enjoyed their excellent food & service. The servers are always friendly & the food is always very fresh. There are numerous items on the menu to satisfy almost anyone's culinary appetite. We've enjoyed our breakfasts & lunches but have yet to try their dinners. We are pleased to see the change in ownership has not sacrificed any quality in their food or service. We recently introduced some friends to lunch at Father Natures & their reaction was that they would return because of their very positive experience with this neighborhood restaurant.
