We had excellent food, and I will
be back to watch the World Cup finals, but service was a downer. Our server clearly wanted to be elsewhere and it showed in his service. Unfortunate, because the food and ambiance were great, hopefully a one-off example of the waitstaff."

FFF has truly gourmet burgers
including beef, duck pork and veggie as well as great fries soups and salads. Definitely worth a stop!"

I have been here a few times and I
really like the relaxed feel. It's easy and you can always get a great table with great service. The menu has something for everyone - even picky eaters."

Brought a group for late lunch on
a Monday and got great service even though we dropped in with 8 people. Nice service and decent food for a 4:00 p.m lunch."
Dined on 6/23/2014
When ordering drinks, and then
dropping off the check. After the drink order, we had to wait over 30 minutes and finally had to flag down another person (assistant waiter?) to order the main meal. All other times, the busboy came to drop off food and drinks. No one else came by and asked if we needed anything, if the food was good, or anything. The food is pricey for the simple fare it is (basically sandwiches and some small plates). The restaurant was not busy, maybe a little over half full, so the slow service was puzzling. I'll take a cue from the service, and won't be hurrying back here soon..."

I have never had a bad meal here
and the staff is always great."

No Fuss, no muss Simple menu
though far from boring, delicious food, great drinks. friendly and caring staff casual, but you can still make a reservation I often drive over from the city to enjoy it's care and ambience. Can be noisy inside if it's bustling.I often grab a curbside table."
Dined on 6/23/2014
Food was good but not great. Food
presentation was sloppy. Took the server over 15 minutes to get to us and the place was not busy. The place smelled like beer, lots of little, messy kids. And the TV was on (visually) but no sound) upstairs. Won't go back."
Dined on 6/21/2014
What a great night out with
friends for my birthday. The food was amazing, service was prompt, friendly and consistent. The ambiance was fun and lively...possibly too loud for me normally, but for this occasion it was perfect. I would definitely recommend F3 to a friend and return for the ribs and cocktails."

Terrific Francophile twist on the
American favorite and much more. Had a fish burger or crab something that i thought was tiny small though but otherwise the flavors and execution are there."
Dined on 11/19/2013
I thought that the food was good,
albeit very simple and basic. The desserts that we ordered, i.e. ice cream sandwich and chocolate mousse were especially yummy. The service was great and the atmosphere very friendly. It was well attended and had a nice TV."

Owners of Le Garage, another
Sausalito gem, opened this baby to our delight. We love the no frills fare that is a twist of French Bistro and American comfort food. We have gone here after a long race or when meeting with friends. We have never been disappointed. Don't think twice about it - go and have fun."
Dined on 5/30/2014
Made advance reservations for a
quiet table for privacy. When I arrived they seated me in frint of the big screen tv with the world cup game on. I asked twice for a table away from the tv and screaming kids. Specifically, I wanted a table by the front door near the windows but they said no. Service was rushed and not very personal or friendly."
Dined on 6/14/2014
Love this place . Creative (and
not overly sweet) cocktails and a menu that combines local ingredients with a great sense of humor. You've got to love a French Chef who makes a "L'Animal Style" burger. Go here now."
Dined on 6/12/2014
Both carmelized Brussel Sprouts
and Squash Blossom appetizers sounded better than tasted. Both way too greasy; not refined. Main entree flank steak with Bernaise. Flank steak was so slobbered in thick heavy vapid sauce,You could barely find the few tiny pieces of it that were in there. Too bad, bc place is cute. If its trying to be upscale glorified bar food, fine. Myb mediocre tastes better over a beer or three!"

I have eaten at 3F many times and
have been happy with the experience. The service has always been fine. BUT, on June 11, I invited my foodie pal to dine with me at 3F. The night began with my pal getting cocktail onions on her GIMLET. Onions belong on a GIBSON, not a lime based Gimlet. She sent it back, I was embarrassed. I had suggested this place. The night went completely downhill after that with one serving disaster, after another. The waiter actually threw the bill on the table before my pal got her entree! We finally had the Manager intervene, he was wonderful, served my pal her entree, (my entree had come before my appetizer), and comped us the appetizers. Very unpleasant experience except for the Manager intervening."

This Caledonia Street restaurant
offers Delicious food in small plates at good prices. The garden is in view from the second floor window. Chickens and herbs fill the back area. Food is casual French with great dependable flavor at accessible price point. Street parking requires a stroll before and after dinner."

One can rest assured that all menu
items at F3 will be a good choice. I am ecspecialy found of their "fish on the rocks" and kale saiad."
Dined on 5/14/2014
Enjoyed our meal. Brussel sprouts
chips were not a winner - literally oily Brussels sprout leaves overcooked - but everything else was delicious. The cod and fried chicken sandwiches were winners. As expected of a French restaurant the deserts were excellent!! Service was friendly, efficient, responsive and low key. Just the way we like it. Ambiance is relaxed and has an 'all ages' appeal to the decor. We will go there again!"

Fantastic gourmet burger and onion
rings. The service is a little casual, confused and redundant, we had four people come to our table offering to either take our order or to get us what we needed. Things seemed to slip between the cracks a bit, but we eventually received everything we requested. No complaints. Will definitely return."
Dined on 5/3/2014
great food. prepared well, fresh,
a little something extra with the flavors."

Pricey for what it offers; but
interesting and good cuisine: not the best. but adequate (Fast-food French style)."

Another great night, great food as
we took some friends who had never been. They loved it and we will be back soon. Food is excellent while laid back and the atmosphere is invigorating."

We were excited to check this
place out, and we were very impressed with the Caesar salad, which is made with kale. My spouse got a beef, potato dish that was quite good, but my $13 grass-fed burger was quite so-so, and it had no sides. It also didn't seem they made the patty there, but I didn't ask. But the disappointing part was the service - the guy seemed indifferent, didn't know that much about the food, it took a long time to get the entrees after the salad was done, and then he didn't pay us any mind even after we spent 10 minutes trying to flag him down to pay the bill. We finally got up and paid the hostess. It's a bummer when a good start ends with real annoyance at a waiter who doesn't much seem to care."

Noisy crowded. Actually deafening.
Couldn't speak to the people I was with. The burger was good but you can get good burgers in a lot better places. Not going back"

A very nice modern French-American
restaurant. I had the fish filet sandwich and my wife had the fried chicken. Both were very good, but I kind of wish the fish sandwich was a little bit bigger. For sides we also went with the brussel sprout chips (which we would definitely recommend) and tater tots. The tater tots were a more healthy non fried version. Although truth be told we kind of wanted and would have welcomed the unhealthier crunchy cafeteria kind. Warning! If you're going to do street parking be aware. For some areas the parking is for 2 hrs only and NOT free after 6pm unless you're a resident."
Dined on 3/15/2014
The food was mostly fried and the
presentation was unappealing. The service was worse. We hadn't even finished our bottle of wine when we were served our check and told they needed to turn the table. Please know that we had ordered a $50 bottle of wine and were finishing our dinner within 1.5 hours."

Been wanting to try F3 since it
was featured on Bargain Bites. We live in SF so there is no shortage of great restaurants; glad we made the trip to Sausalito. The food was excellent! I'm hoping they find their way to SF and open a restaurant here. If not, we'll be traveling to Sausalito more frequently to try all the menu items."

Excellent food. Many interesting
new things to try. One of our local favorites."

I found F3 through yelp and open
table after searching for a space large enough for a casual bridal shower. Everything worked out so perfectly! The ambiance was perfect for our group-- not too quiet, not too loud. The service was excellent, and the food was delicious. Everytime I called to adjust our reservations or to ask questions, the staff were friendly and very helpful, and even proactively called me as well to confirm final head counts. They were extremely accommodating and allowed our party to come early to decorate the upstairs space for the bridal shower, which happened to go along perfectly with F3's orange decor. I could not have hoped for a better experience or place to host the shower. I am definitely coming back!"

Enjoyed food and service. The
soups are becoming a highlight of the menu to me. Desserts were great and staff helped the celebration of my birthday. Thanks..."

Overall a very pleasing culinary
evening. Knowledgeable staff serving well prepared dishes of buttermilk chicken, pork ribs, Brussel sprouts in a relaxed, comfortable room. There is NOTHING pretentious about this place. You get a great meal at a great price with no attitude, a lovely way to enjoy eating out in Sausalito."

Had a wonderful evening at your
restaurant Friday night. My parents were visiting and they were very happy with everything--which is great for me as I love this restaurant and they are pretty hard to please."
Dined on 3/7/2014
This is a cool modern bistro with
small plates that are delicious and ample (bang for your buck). Friendly and fast service, a menu that is really more American with an energetic twist of French than it is classic French. We had a dinner of 4 plates that we semi-shared and enjoyed very much. Good wines all at $9 a glass and a good pour. Drawback: Noisy! It was bad enough with the din of the room being very loud, on top of it they had a d.j. playing euro music with a throbbing beat.....really?! Maybe it isn't a nightly routine, but it felt out of place and jarring. Note to non-locals: Streets around F3 have residents only parking, poorly marked. We got a parking ticket at 9 pm, the sign we should have seen was way up the street!"
Dined on 3/7/2014
Food was decent except all the
tiny tomatoes in my salad were literally rotten. I wasn't able to tell from appearance as they prepare them but super gross when I ate one. Friendly servers. They apologized for the issue but I didn't make a big deal out of it. Nice location, relaxed."
Dined on 3/1/2014
This was my second visit to F3.
This time I chose it for a business lunch. Unfortunately it took more than 30 minutes for the meal to arrive because the kitchen "missed " the order. The food remains attractive for a spin on fast food with a gallic touch. (My boudin blanc with onions was very tasty). However, the service glitch overshadowed the appreciation of the meal, and I'm not sure my colleagues would return."
Dined on 2/28/2014
Been there three times in the last
2 weeks. Lunch and early dinner quieter. Saturday dinner super noisy and crazy."
Dined on 2/26/2014
Don't know if this is American
comfort food translated into French or the other way around -- probably the former. It's fun creative food that doesn't take itself too seriously except that it's really good. Service is good, wine and beer lists interesting if limited. Entertaining and satisfying!"
Dined on 2/23/2014
This is the second time I've been
to F3 in the past 90 days. And I encountered the same thing: takes way too long to be able to order a drink when you arrive or to get a drink delivered. And service can be spotty throughout dinner and certainly afterwards (when you're kind of abandoned, rather than be asked if you want something further)."
Dined on 2/17/2014
We were hugely disappointed. The
hostess was nasty from the start. Sat us right by the bathroom when other tables were open, and gave lame excuse of other customers requesting the other specific tables, which along a wall of tables, not special. we contemplated leaving but stayed bc we had a gift certificate. the food was bleh. They were out of the special soup at 7 pm. The brussel sprouts app was great, the duck and fried chicken sandwiches weren't worth the price. The chocolate mouse was horrible. Like jello pudding. And really bad accustics- everyone was screaming to talk to their dinner companions and driving bass too loud. Then they wouldn't accept the gift certificate , so we were wishing we'd left when we had a chance."
