The food is always outstanding, the staff are helpful and knowledgeable, the ambiance is warm and welcoming--it is just one of our very favorite restaurants and we can't wait to go there again. We especially like being encouraged to stay as long as we like, since we usually go with friends we haven't seen for a while. (It's a good halfway point between Denver and our home in the boonies.) This is such a great restaurant. I wish it was open for lunch so I could eat there twice as often!!"

  • "Had dinner there last week with a friend. We decided to order the special,red trout from Oregon. I took the chance(not a huge trout fan) just because I was at Farro's. Everything I have ever eaten there has been fantastic. We started with the arugula salad. Superb, delicious. Then the trout arrived. It was served atop some kind of savory flan & wilted spinach. I have never tasted anything so fresh & remarkably delicious. The seasonings were perfect, it was cooked to perfection. It was rather quiet when we first arrived, but the place was jamming soon after. You are missing out if you have not been. You receive excellent attention, the bartender is great (she made us some mean Cosmos!). And the food? Never a disappointment. Oregon."

  • "i AM A VERYPICKY EATER..My son from Vail first treated my husband and I. So impressed that we decided to bring my husbands co-worker and his wife. We were again treated like Royalty and the food was delicious. Alot of variety and everything was GREAT! We even treated ourselves to dessert even though we were stuffed.   • "Mauricio served us at exactly the right pace. The $33 Super Tuscan he recommended was a hit. Carpaccio and Calamari appetizers were appealing. Main courses were prepared just right. They split our shared dinner onto two plates without charge and without being asked. Desserts were a guilty pleasure and the bill was less than we thought it would be. What more can you ask for?"

  • "After reading the other reviews I had a different picture than what was actually the case. The food was good, nothing spectacular. Service was ok, I like restaurants to ask have you been there before and help with the menu. The food I finally ordered was good, no compliant but would not be like, oooo make sure you go there, not. Also make sure you sit away from the door can be drafty"

  • "The staff at Farro treated us incredibly well and dinner was a great experience until my wife's chicken Marsala showed up. It was over cooked, chewy and the mushrooms were not fresh -- a disappointing meal for that price point. Also, the neon signs hurt the ambiance a bit. Overall it was a mixed experience, very clean and tremendous staff who made us feel welcome. Some of the food was good (caprese salad) but our entree's were dissapointing and did not justify their price tag. For $80 we can find a better overall experience at a lot of other places. Hard to give a bad review to a place filled with so many good people , but Farro needs to look again at the food they're putting out."

  • "We made a later reservation time and kept getting put off by them telling our table was being cleaned for half an hour. This may be expected with later reservation times though. Food was great tasting and presentation was superb. Portions were not over-generous and perfect for a single diner. Wine selection and wait staff were superb."

  • "We picked Farro because we liked the Restaurant Week menu. We ended up sharing each course, so we wouldn't miss anything! Standouts were the Tuscan bean soup, lobster risotto, pork tenderloin in cherry sauce reduction, chicken marsala, and panna cotta with berry compote. I think these are all available off the regular menu. There were also several yummy-sounding specials. We'll definitely be back, and we'll try them next time."

  • "We have been regular patrons at Farro for years, and tend to stick with our favorite dishes (seafood farro for my husband, anything with the three cheese polenta for me). Lately we have been ordering their specials, and enjoying them immensely. They usually have a small plate and a couple of entrees. Last Friday, it was butternut squash ravioli with a sage butter sauce for the small plate; swordfish and a pork shank for the entrees. We ordered them all, and they were wonderful. On other occasions we have had amazing lamb chops, a fabulous beet-carrot salad ... a wide variety of delectable flavors. This chef knows how to bring out the best in food! We encourage you to give the specials a try."

He has great specials on the weekends and so there is always something different to try. It's nice to have a "Cheers" like experience - everybody knows our names when we walk in. Great staff, great food. Yes, it's in a strip mall and it isn't 'trendy' perhaps, but the food and service makes up for that easily."

  • "We found Farro through Open Table and rapidly became regulars. We love it. Farro is relentlessly reliable. Doesn't matter what we do for our entrees, we always have the Fried Eggplant & Mushroom starter, the Tuscan Bean Soup & the Limoncello Cheesecake. So if you're going there the first time, try at at least one or two of those, and then go from there. A simple, unpretentious exterior and interior, and just great food. You can't go wrong."

  • "I took a friend there for her birthday and it was very nice. Neither of us had ever been there before and found it by accident on the internet. I made a reservation and arrived a little early. It was packed but we were seated within 5 minutes. The service and food were great. We had the white bean soup and it was delicious. I had the salmon and my friend had pasta with shrimp. We both enjoyed our meals., Thank you Farrro's for making a special occasion special."

  • "Farro's has a relaxed atmosphere, very nice, but not flashy. We first noticed how hard the staff was working. That continued throughout the entire evening. Our waitress, Beth, was a friendly and helpful as could be. The wine list was simple, not over priced and very good. The food was as outstanding as the service. There is a unique bread dipping sauce that was very good. Wonderful spinach salads with apple and a honey vinaigrette. My wife had a very light and flavorful angel hair pasta with Roma tomatoes and more. I had the lamb chop special with spinach risotto- Unbelievably good. Desert was amazing. The owner/chef Matt is out at the tables serving, filling waters and talking to guests. Our new favorite restaurant."

The average dish on the menu was between 15-23 or so, so I assumed a "special" would be similarly priced. $29 and literally 3 scallops later I was blown away by the quality and taste, just not by the quantity and price."

We have favorite dishes (flat iron steak and grilled eggplant), but are pleasantly surprised by innovative specials (pork shank with amazing Brussels sprouts). We love the restaurant for a night out with our 3 year old, but is equally enjoyable for a more romantic evening when the 3 year old is at Grandmas. Great to see the restaurant doing so well and the recent changes (new floor and community table) add to the warmth and charm, although we now try to make reservations on weekend nights!"

  • "Farro is an unassuming little gem and a special little place. It doesn't seem like much from the outside, being in neighborhood strip mall. However, the minute you enter, it is a wonderful experience. The warm service is exceptional. The chef even visits the tables to thank you and check on the reactions to the delicious cuisine! The food is always consistently delicious and the prices are reasonable. The wine list is extensive. The dining experience is always positive. Farro has become one of our favorite spots. What a treat!"

  • "We took our daughter there for a special birthday dinner. The kids ordered pasta.... it was great. The adults ordered fish and chicken entrees and neither were good. Salmon was VERY fishy and chicken marsala was very sweet. We had asked about best items to order and waitress didn't even mention the nightly specials. We overheard another waitress telling another table about them and THAT"S what we would have ordered had we known about them. If you go, stick to the pastas."
