Beautiful grounds and top notch service. Ask for a table outside if possible for the best area. The grilled artichokes are the best I have ever had and the cheddar biscuits are addicting."

  • "While on our trip to San Francisco with our toddler and myself pregnant we wanted to take a trip to napa. We found this gem which was the first place that felt modern, warm but kid friendly. The first restaurant we went to that provided crayons and a kids menu. They had great open space for our son to explore and run around. The food was delicious and prompt. They even put my sons order in first to get it out faster. I would go again."

  • "Like too many places in 'wine country' another restaurant better for lunch than dinner. Two in our party liked their salmon. Other two had the hamburger. Strange 'sauce' on the burger (dijon please but they don't have it) House ketchup -- weird taste. Wish some of these chefs would stick to the tried and true basics instead of getting too 'creative' Again... go for lunch - sit outside. But for dinner, entree execution doesn't justify the price P.S. the corkage policy is very nice especially since what's on their wine list is overpriced for this type of restaurant"

  • "I've been to Farmstead 3 times and have not been disappointed with any of them. Being from Washington State, I've only come down twice so I've ordered the ribs each time. I dream of them in between visits. This time I swapped potato salad for the cole slaw since the cole slaw just doesn't do it for me. Potato salad didn't look that great on the plate, but tasted fantastic. I was a little disappointed this time in the cookie selection. Didn't seem like they were as good as my last visit. Dry and not full of flavor like before. I still give them a 5 for fast and friendly service."

  • "We have been coming to farmstead every year since they opened and it truly gets better each time! This time around might have been our best so far. Started out a little questionably as our waiter failed to tell us about the specials although we learned about them from the table next to us. Every course outdid itself! Do not miss the kale salad and the grilled artichokes to start. The wild salmon entree and smoked ribs were hard to beat! Cocktails at the out side bar make the visit worth it just for the ambience and great music. Do not miss Farmstead - you will not be disappointed!"

BBQ sauce was very tasty. the cole slaw had no flavor whatsoever. Will not go back. Too many good restaurants in our area to be served below par food."

  • "Great food. Fantastic service. One of the teens felt the gnocchi was tough and it was removed from the bill with no questions asked other than what can we do to make this right for you? My trout was excellent. The pork chop perfect. Unfortunately they'd sold out of the ribs which we know from previous visits are killer good. The dessert we chose was the sundae - omg delicious. We brought a bottle of wine from our wine tasting earlier in the day and paid the minimal corkage that they give to a charitable organization. Love that!"

  • "Interesting and delicious menu, fine craft beers and cocktails. Our party of 4 had patio dining for lunch and we enjoyed it completely! Fast and friendly service, but you never felt rushed. Our server made some excellent recommendations and was always attentive. Some say it is loud inside and that the vastness "echos", but we didn't notice it waiting for our table and I liked the outside dining anyway. The lovely gardens and old fashioned general store are reminiscent of a tranquil country farm... you don't even realize there is a major road just yards away. When in the Napa Valley, stop by!"

Price level high for mostly simple dishes but that's probably because of the location in the wine area. Food was very tasty but very rich and heavy. It is a huge place we haven't expected that. Fully booked and crowded and way too cold inside because of the aircondition. So you didn't feel very comfy for having dinner there."

  • "Amazing overall experience! Farmstead was recommended by a friend based on the cheddar biscuits and it over delivered across the board. The ambiance was fantastic, food was incredible and the staff was knowledgable and friendly. Cade winery told us the burger was the best in town and it absolutely was. The slow-roasted pulled pork sandwich with potato salad was beyond belief. We were there for my birthday lunch and it was the perfect spot! Great vibe and energy but not too loud. The decor was great and the restrooms were really clean. Would have loved to have sat outside but it was 100 degrees! We're planning to visit again in the Fall. I highly recommend Farmstead to anyone who visits the area."

I had the leg of lamb special and my husband had the Heritage pork chop; both were excellent. Our server was informative and attentive. As always we had a wonderful time and will return soon for our next special occasion or just because. We highly recommend dining outside on the patio."

Sundae was average. Was told it had vanilla ice cream but didn't. Very cool corkage program that was a $5 donation to a local charity"

  • "The food was wonderful, especially the meat balls. It was really nice dinning outdoors, it was almost like we had a private alcove. The band at the bar was playing some great music (although the second band was pretty awful). The service was pleasant but first brought out the wrong wine, then the right wine but no glasses and finally dinner, but no forks. It may have gotten a 5 had the service been a little better and the second lead singer been a lot better!"

  • "This was only my second time at Farmstead, but the food was so good the first time I dreamed of coming back! Since it was later in the afternoon we decided to stick with just appetizers. You have to have the ham sandwiches (you will dream of them). We also had the steak tartar, artichokes and meatballs. They were all equally delicious. I am already looking forward to my next trip!"

  • "an inviting relaxed farm like setting in what previously had been a nursery, and now having a garden, orchard, and lawns surrounding the barn like interior seating. The menu has tempting delicious combinations - and all are rather ample in size. The salads have excellent selections including a kale salad, also a peach selection, and the entrees have impressive combinations - like salmon with sweetcorn, zucchini,string beans vegetables and they have a nice selection of desserts - we had a special of fresh peach pie (from their trees) and peach ice cream - the pie was big enough for at least 3 persons. Excellent attentive service and price is moderate."

The food was good (Salmon rillette, chilli, risotto) - and the service tried really hard to minimize the kitchen back-up - but on an uncrowded afternoon we saw at least 6 different servers and it took 2hrs+ to get through a single course lunch - they have done better in the past."

  • "Sorry Mustard's, there's a new kid in town! Service was so amazing. Every request we had was met will a smile and executed to perfection. Smoked ribs are very tasty, very meaty and come with a apple coleslaw. My friend's salmon was huge on a bed of home grown veggies, very good. Don't miss the cheddar bread with honey butter. Causal dining atmosphere with a great setting for outdoor wedding parties. Good outdoor bar as you enter. Coming back soon."
