  • Private Party Facilities: FARMiCiA Restaurant is available for all of your special event needs from Birthday Celebrations & Baby Showers, to Cocktail Parties & Business gatherings. The entire restaurant can accommodate 180 guests for standing events such as Cocktail Parties, and can be configured to your specifications for seated events for up to 120 guests. FARMiCiA’s Main Dining Room can accommodate up to 90 guests for standing events & up to 68 guests for seated gatherings. The FARM Bar area is available for smaller cocktail parties & can accommodate up to 40 guests. Located just beyond the FARM Bar is the LOFT at FARMiCiA which is graced by the large landscape painting by Conrad Nebeker. The semi-private area can accommodate up to 45 guests for a standing event. This area can also be arranged to your specifications for groups of up to 32 guests for seated events.
  • Entertainment: Join us for Dinner Happy Hour Tuesday through Friday from 5 pm to 7pm and Brunch Happy Hour on Saturday and Sunday from 11 am to 2 pm. All alcoholic beverages are offered at half the price, that includes draught beer, specialty cocktails, tonics, glasses of wine, etc. Pair a Barn Burner (FARMiCiA's own Bloody Mary) or a glass of champagne with your meal for half the price. What a great way to start the day and such a good deal!.

  • Parking Details: Park your car in the Park America lot adjacent to the restaurant on 3rd Street, at the Bourse Garage located on 4th Street between Market & Chestnut Streets, or the AutoPark at Old City, which is located on 2nd Street between Chestnut & Walnut Streets. There is a smaller lot on N. 3rd – the other side of Market – between Market & Arch as well. Metered street parking is also available throughout Old City, but you might not want to waste your time looking for one!

  • "Farmacia changes its menu somewhat with the seasons. On a recent visit, they had a gnocchi with wild mushrooms and rhubarb sorbet. Both were incredibly good. Gnocchi definitely the "best anywhere anytime" and the sorbet an unusual and absolutely fabulous taste experience. Farmacia makes its own sorbet and always has several flavors--mango and black cherry have been very memorable in the past, but rhubarb was an unexpected delight. Happy Hour during the week is a plus, as is the bread from Metropolitan Bakery, and the variety of seating configurations."

  • "My wife and I have eaten at FARMiCiA a number of times. Every time we were very happy with the food. The menu is largely organic, much of it local, and there is often an interesting twist. The combinations of herbs and spices or the interplay of entree with interesting vegetables are always intriguing. The portion sizes are perfect: satisfying but not stuffing. The service is consistently good. The menu does change with the season, and sometimes that means a favorite dish (in my case the apple cheddar salad) may not be available. I've always been able to find a satisfying alternative, however. My limited sampling of desserts has been just as satisfying. The gluten-free, chocolate walnut brownie is delightfully light and a bargain."

  • "We don't get into the city too often so I decided to spend some time searching on-line for a new restaurant that had a variety of vegetarian and non-vegetarian entrees, a casual atmosphere, and was close to available parking. Farmicia was one of the few choices I found so we decided to give it a try and we were not disappointed. The fact that it was a BYOB yet also had a bar was unique and big plus. We were there on a Saturday evening, our waiter was very attentive, portions were not huge (a good thing!), and we were all very satisfied with our meals. We shared a flourless chocolate tart for desert and it was a perfect way to top off a good meal. Bottom line, I would not hesitate to go back again."

  • "Had a great time dining at this restaurant. It's byob but they also have a bar, so it's nice to have the option of bringing your own wine or getting drinks there. The server was fantastic. He was well versed on the menu and gave good suggestions on what to order. The food came out in a timely fashion and was very good. I recommend the lamb or duck. Will definitely dine here again."

  • "We love coming on a Friday night. The fresh bread is amazing and I would recommend the cheese plate! This past visit, it took a trip. To hostess to let them know that a waitress never came to our table after sitting there for 15 minutes. The staff was very apologetic and our first round of drinks were on the house. We appreciated their gesture and enjoyed our dinner even more! Will come back again!!,"

  • "I LOVE this restaurant. I have many food issues (gluten intolerant, no soy, no corn, no yeast, no additives) and it's anxiety inducing when I go out to eat. I chose to meet a friend here for lunch because the menu looked so good and there were a couple of things I could see that I could eat and I could trust that the ingredients were healthy and of good quality. I got the 2 egg omelet with herbs and goat cheese and substituted the garden salad for roasted potatoes. So yummy! My friend got a sandwich with tuna salad. She also loved it. The ambiance is hip and the decor is simple and clean. I have already recommended it to a bunch of people. Our waiter was knowledgeable and personable. Highly recommend."

Omelettes were well received, & I enjoyed a FARMiCiA staple: the French lentil salad - listed under "Starters," but huge & easily a main course, & the best salad in Phildaelphia. And weekends include Happy Hour (11:00 - 2:00) with half-price drinks."

  • "My friends and I have eaten at Farmicia often before we go to the Arden Theatre and most often have had very good food and wonderful service. This last time we dined at Farmicia on 3/14, the food was still good, not great, but I have to say that the service was poor. The restaurant wasn't yet that busy so it wasn't that. The only thing I can point to was our wait-person was training a new person. We waited at least 10 minutes, maybe more, before we had to call someone over to even take our order for drinks and it went downhill from there. Very disappointing from all our previous dinners at what was a fine restaurant with great service."

Great alternative to Sabrina's for a relaxing brunch with friends. The Bloody Mary was perfectly spiced and the Pomtini a winner! We opted for omelets and the lentil salad...food was great and reasonably priced. Service was prompt and friendly."

Good for all eaters--from vegans to steak lovers. Happy hour from 5-7 is great. The bread (from Metropolitan Bakery) is the best in the city and they always offer 3-4 varieties to choose from."

  • "I've been to Farmicia at least a dozen times. I appreciate the food, as there are many vegetarian choices. I also really like the look of the interior. It's a cozy, neighborhood place. However, the service is awful from the time I step in the door. The hostess/host are not welcoming. This last time we were seated at a table right near the door and assured that it was not drafty or cold. It was 25 degrees outside and we sat with jackets on our legs. Each time someone opened the door, it would get stuck open and the hostess wouldn't do a thing about it. She was too busy talking with the host or servers. Our server was incredibly slow. It took a full 15 minutes to order a drink and then another 15 to actually get them. Will not return."

The service was excellent, never more appreciated when a salt shaker broke and dumped a ton of salt on a burger. The waitperson whipped it away and it was replaced within a few minutes. My cheese and ham sandwich came with a celery and apple salad that was as good as the sandwich--I ate every scrap. Nice day."

  • "We like Farmacia a lot. We like the atmosphere, fabulous bread, decent wine selection (especially during happy hour) and variety and quality of food. (The beer list seems a bit tired.) When Farmacia is at its best, it is wonderful. However, our most recent trip was mediocre. Had to ask for bread and the food was a bit blah. Lentil salad tasted a bit off. The waitstaff didn't have great timing--either zoomed in or was AWOL. Not bad--just not the top level of taste and presentation we've come to love. I wish they could be just a bit more consistent so I could feel confident bringing friends."
