I had let them know in advance that we were celebrating his birthday and asked for a quiet, out of the way table. We sat in the garden view room. From the special "Happy birthday" printed on his menu through all the attentive service, to the little candle on his dessert we thoroughly enjoyed our evening. The biggest gem of allwas the impeccable English gardens. So amazing! The gardens were so well taken care of. I hsd heard that the gardener keeps the gardens in check five days a week. Food and wine pairings could not have been more perfect. Our sommelier was friendly and shared everything about the wines we had. A must experience in a must experience part of the country.
