Our party of four agreed that we experienced the best meal of our lives! Everything was fabulous, the setting, the wine, the food, the service. The duck, the black cod dinners, one prepared with the prosciutto and one without were incredibly delicious as were the starters (especially the grilled apricot salad with balsamic vinegar) and the dessert was to die for. All were served elegantly and thanks to the sommelier, the wines were a perfect complement to our meal. Thank you!

The food and service were great. The only draw back was that they charge a $35 corkage fee, per bottle, in the wine country. We all thought it was a little bit much. We had brought two lovely bottles and decided our wine was better than anything they had. The night before we had eaten at Ravenous in Healdsberg and there was no wine corkage. We take our own wine a lot and the most we have ever paid was $20. I thought you might like to know.

The maitre-de was a total snob, while rest of waiting staff were very friendly, welcoming and informative. The Maitre-de acted as if we were the ones who were so lucky to be in his presence. The decor is very so-so, but the food was delicious. there is little ambiance because deocor is so ordinary and there are no views outdoors worth mentioning. I'm very surprised that Michelin has awarded them one star. I lived in Paris for 2 years and ate at many local bistros which had much stronger amiance and far superior Maitre-De attention.

We had heard only good things about the Farmhouse and it lived up to its reputation. I had their "Rabbit, Rabbit, Rabbit" and it was wonderful, wonderful, wonderful. We were with an out of town friend and she was impressed as well. It is a bit of a drive from our home in Sonoma, but well worth the drive. We cannot wait for an occasion to return.

The restaurant was nice, our waiter was outstanding the bill was very pricey and what spoiled the entire experience was a $35.00 corkage fee. We handed the bottle to the waiter at the hostess desk when we first arrived, so we didnt see the wine list to know what the corkage fee was. They are charging a corkage fee in the same "ballpark" as two other restaurants in Napa and Sonoma County which are VERY TOP END (you need reservations weeks in advance). This was an excellent restaurant but not in that category. Their target clientel are out of area visitors, not local residences. Feel free to share this feedback with the restaurant. We will not go back.

Their food is outstanding and the vegetarian meal the chef made for my friend was to die for,I kept pretending it was a chinese meal and reaching over to his plate. My only complaint is the price of desert but I know it's the price of being so good. Just great, thank you, Maria Mazer

We had a lamb dish that was wonderful. The flavors that burst in your mouth were un-describable. Their corkage fee was a bit high at $35, but the wine bottle pricing was pretty reasonable. We brought a bottle in with us & the cost of the wine plus the $35 equaled the price on the wine menu.

This is a wonderful restaurant -- an adult restaurant -- that makes the best possible use of the highest quality local, seasonal products, including the bounty of their own garden. It is more traditional than innovative -- no parmesan foam here -- but that just allows the freshness of the ingredients and the skill of the kitchen to shine. The staff is thoroughly professional, most especially the young but expert sommelier, and the quiet, comfortable dining room is a delight in this age of noise and hype.

This is the second time we have dined at the Farmhouse. We experienced a wonderful un-pretentious place to experience a great meal and fine tuned service...just like the first time! We were also delighted with our master sommelier's wine selection pairings for our dinner! My only wish: It would be nice if the Farmhouse would offer a prix fix or even better a chef's tasting menu along with paired wines for each course in the future.
