My grandparents are from lower Alabama and came to visit in the "big city." We had Sunday dinner at FFB. We ordered cocktails and pretzel app - the bbq mustard and the drinks were ridiculously fresh. She had chicken tenders, he had fried shrimp, and I had the lemon sauteed scallops. I recommend all three. Plus, our server was great.

I'd heard many good things about FFB and was excited when my sister was coming so I would have an excuse to plan a big brunch. I made a reservation 2 weeks in advance, because I heard they get packed. We arrived on time for our reservation and still waited 15 minutes before we were seated. When we sat down, our waiter never told us that we could go ahead and serve ourselves for their buffet-style brunch. We eventually asked a passing busser if that was okay. (We had informed our waiter that it was our first time eating there). The service throughout our meal was just whatever. Overall, fun brunch and good food, but the service seriously leaves something to be desired for the amount of money we spent after drinks.

After hearing such great things about the brunch I was very disappointed in both the quality of the food and the service. We were there at 10am which was not peak time yet the food on the tables was ill presented and very mediocre in quality. The service was SLOW and we had to repeatedly ask for the free flowing items. Could've should've been great.

I actually thought I was making reservations to Founding Farmers. Fortunately, the party we were meeting went to the right location and saved our reservation. I had no idea this place was there but now that I've found it......I'll definitely be a return customer.

Was extremely disappointed in the service and atmosphere (or lack thereof on both counts), which ended up negating whatever pleasure we found in the delicious food. Only received drinks after reminding several different members of the waitstaff we were still waiting on them 30 minutes later (and this continued to happen every time we ordered more.) The hostess was lovely and helpful when seating us, but the group was put in a bad mood by the end of the evening. Would only return to this place if we ordered takeout, which is too bad because the food really was fantastic.

The service was slow and this was only linch time, I can only imagine the dinner rush. We ordered the white wine mussels which were pretty bad. I'm not that picky about food but the broth was absolutely flavorless. Fortunately it was taken off our bill. We also ordered the fig pizza which was yummy. I've heard good things about this place so I really wanted to like it. I may give it one more shot.

I like the concept, the food was good, our waitress excellent and the bartender helpful. But the host stand left something to be desired. I was meeting friends and wanted to be in the right place (I didn't see the restaurant name since I came from the side - past dirty dishes stacked at a visible busing station) and I asked at the host stand the name. The man yawned, and while covering his mouth said the name. I asked him to repeat what he said and I got an eyeroll. Really? I almost left, but then thought I'd talk to the manager, and finally decided to relax and get over it. That's when the bartender was very helpful, and friendly, and he turned my mood back to good. Honestly though, I'm going to think twice before going back.

arrived 5 mins early and had to wait 10 mins for table, 'hosts' distracted and impersonal, seater took us to an awful table and couldn't understand why I said I wouldn't sit there, then entered into a 3 way conversation with host and seater re why there wasn't a better table available when there clearly were. Eventually seater who was at a loss asked if we wanted to see a manager, manager showed up and WITHOUT A WORD of any kind showed us to an acceptable table . waitress not too sharp or focused, drinks took for ever to arrive, waitress recommended 2 servings of pretzels to start which were way too much, shared pizza as a main, would have been better from papa johns, founding farmers going down hill, would seem you also, menu way to long

I'd heard good things and made a reservation here for my birthday. Service was very slow. Server took our drink orders instantly before anyone even had a breath to look at the drink list - my mom asked about whether they had chianti (since she didn't have time to look at the wine list) "Is that a brand of wine?" the server asked. It was so loud, I have to think he just couldn't hear her. Came back at least three times each time with no drinks, no drinks, took an appetizer order but still no drinks. Finally drinks, finally apps, finally he takes the entrée order. Food was okay. But the restaurant was so loud and distracting it was nearly impossible to have a conversation. That said the staff were super nice, just disorganized.

I've been to this restaurant several times, and I've been very pleased with most of my experiences. However, the last time that I went there, it was not quite as good. The food was still very good, albeit a little over priced, but the service this time was terrible. The waitress was very slow to take our order, and not very enthusiastic or happy. We ordered the guacamole, which is fantastic, but it didn't come with enough chips. We asked for extra chips, which turned out to be an extra $2.50, but the waitress didn't say anything. I was a little disappointed with the poor service this time, and I will definitely be trying different restaurants instead of FF&B in the future. Also the music was a little too loud.

The hostesses weren't friendly or accommodating at all, the place was incredibly loud, the waiter recommended the rock sole which was amazingly bland (basically, a piece of fried fish on grits with some peas on top), the waiter forgot to bring the lemon wedges we requested for our water, we were continually having to wait for anything from him, whether it was a menu, to order, to get our coffee, etc. And the prices weren't great, either ($24 for my boring lunch, $30 for brunch). Just about the only thing this place has going for it is its location on the waterfront (but even then there's not much of a view from its position in the back of the courtyard), which is the only reason I can assume people eat here.

I don't know the diet of the farmers, bakers or fishers that they are "working" with -- but they must enjoy fried food. Seriously, no regard to fresh ingredients -- every dish was fried. The crab came from Thailand -- it is early September I am sure you can still get crab from the Bay. I knew once I saw the giant menu - we were in trouble. Too many choices for a kitchen to produce anything of quality.

I made a reservation for 12:15 on Saturday assuming we'd have a simple lunch. Evidently the restaurant offers a buffet brunch on Saturdays only, no exceptions. This wasn't advertised anywhere- I had checked menus online prior to reserving and looked subsequently. We didn't want $30 buffet and were pressed for time, but there's nothing else in that area so we were SOL.

This was fun outing and the only problem was the noise level. We got seating by a window and that helped. I liked the idea of the kids under six eating for free and the tea being included with the brunch fare. Although the price was steep, my husband loved all the food!!! Definitely a man's place. The Fishers Fry Combo Platter of seafood was over cooked and the quality of seafood was poor. Going to Long John Silver's or Captain D's would have been more satisfying. The scallops seemed like okra rather than scallops, and there was only one tiny piece of fish. The Cioppino was extremely salty, and the mussels seemed to be all empty shells. The Ahi Tuna & Lemon Aioli sandwich was a true disappointment. It was random chunks of ahi tuna, that did not work very well for a sandwich. Take one bite and everything else falls out of it. None of us enjoyed our food. The ambiance and service was OK, but we were very disappointed with the food. I expected much more from Farmers, Fishers, Bakers. Their weekend brunch is much better.

Farmers Fishers Bakers had a great variety of entrée choices and an excellent arrangement of tastes and spices to fit all members of our party's needs. Peanut cider spice for the cole slaw was particularly tasty. The sushi bar was a bit sparse but for entrees the portions were more than adequate. The banana split was to die for and definitely worth the price. We all plan to eat again at Farmers Fishers Bakers and look forward to new trying new items.
