the moment we walked in and surveyed the food on tables, we knew we were in for a treat. our party of five including one infant was treated royally after only a brief wait. our server was extremely friendly and very accommodating. we ordered peel and eat spicy shrimp and calamari for our appetizers. bot were delicious. I ordered the crab salad, my spouse ordered the farmhouse chicken. my aunt ordered the salmon and my sister ordered the fish and chips. no one was disappointed with their selection. we look forward to coming back to try the other dishes on the ample menu.

The buffet brunch features unusally excellent food and service. Not normally a big fan of buffets, but this is one of the best brunches in DC, probably the best, for the price.

Went to brunch recently at Farmers Fishers Bakers and was completely satisfied. Food was delicious and varied, from French Toast with bananas foster to fried chicken. Our waitress was excellent, refilling my coffee regularly. Also warm biscuits and cinnamon rolls are brought to every table - a nice start to a buffet brunch. I was worried such a large popular place would be loud, but the noise diffuses really well; I did not find it loud at all. Beautiful view and location on the Potomac.

We came to FFB this past weekend per a recommendation of my daughter, who is a student at GW. She had been anxious to try out the restaurant and we were happy to ry someplace new and fun. The food was absolutely sublime - indulgent - absolutely perfect! Service was great and we had a wonderful time.

  • The Worst Dining Experience

Despite having a reservation through Open Table, my party was never seated that night. We arrived on time and were told there was a slight back up. No problem, we told the hostess we could be found at the end of the bar. 15 and 30 minutes later, I came back twice to get an update and was assured that she knew exactly where we were and would come get us as soon as our table was ready. An hour later, my mother and I decided to just eat at the bar. I went to let the hostess know and she claimed that they couldn't find us. It was incredibly infuriating. Waiting an hour while having already made a reservation was bad enough, but to never actually be seated ruined the entire experience for me.

Great food, fun atmosphere, one of the better restaurants in the Georgetown/DC. You have to reserve a table way in advance if you are trying for a Friday night. For example, I logged on two weeks ahead of time to reserve a table for a party of three and there were some times available before 6pm and then nothing until 9. Worth it.

I loved this place. The service was fantastic, every single item was delicious, and the staff was genuinely warm and polite. The decor was not to my taste, but that is a matter of personal opinion and certainly not a reason to begrudge such a phenomenal establishment. I look forward to returning and would most assuredly recommend it to my friends.

We went on Columbus holiday which was a Monday and they had the brunch available. My mate was so surprised at the the whole set up and just the complete ambiance of the whole restaurant. I was looking for something different and romantic to do on a gloomy rainy day and this place Fit the bill perfectly. The food was wonderful, fresh and thoughtfully made. My mate tried everything, from the omelets to the honey pot fried chicken, to the salad, he had a wonderful time as did I . Please get the French toast too ! They put a wonderful spin on that and it will leave you wanting more! Too many treats to choose from. Absolutely a fantastic restaurant.

The staff was friendly, courteous, and always attentive. They had a very nice area for dining outside although it was a little cold so we opted for inside. Our food was pretty good. I enjoyed my Charred Pit Beef sandwich and my companions enjoyed their dinners as well but what will bring me back to the restaurant was the desserts. We ordered the Beignets, which arrived with caramel, fudge, and raspberry dipping sauces, and I can't begin to describe how amazing it was. We were all fighting over the last piece. We also ordered a piece of Hummingbird Cake, which due to it's size I can only assume was 1/4 of the entire cake. Not a crumb of it left when we were done. I will definitely be back for another round of dessert.

My girlfriends and I had a reservation for brunch at 12:30 on Sunday Oct. 12. We arrived at noon and were told to come back at 12:30 or sit at the over crowded bar. The atmosphere was chaos. The logistics of walking to the buffet from seating area is poorly designed. You have to walk through other tables and through the bar area or through the entrance where people were standing. The buffet had a large variety but we did not have any idea what some of the food was. The staff had a difficult time speaking English or understanding our questions regarding what we were offered to eat. Small signs displaying what the food items were would help. Maybe we had problems because it was our first visit but it will be our last.

It was our first time going (myself & boyfriend). The crowd is decently young, with some older folks who seem to have a younger spirit. It draws in a fun crowd and is a fun place to be. I loved our waiter, I think his name was Aiden? Something hip like that. He was extremely personable and fun to interact with. The food was great, I just wish I could eat more. The cinnamon buns and biscuits they first come out with are awesome. Basically, I had a great time and would definitely go back for any sort of special occasion or guests. In my opinion, one of the best deals for brunch in the city. A set price of $30 a head gets you a wonderful buffet, freshly baked cinnamon rolls and biscuits, access to several "floating plates" (eggs benedict, eggs florentine, sushi, pizza, fried shrimp), and all the desserts you could ask for. If you come hungry, you will most definitely get your money's worth. Only minor complaint is that service can sometimes be slow, but this has historically been a problem of mine when coming to FFB, and I have come to accept it. Willing to deal with average service if it means getting to enjoy this place for brunch.

I always enjoy the food here -- it is unique and delicious. The view is very nice from the patio and the restaurant itself is fun and energetic. This time, the service was not great. The bar was very slow, even though the restaurant was not that busy. The waiter was not very attentive and seemed annoyed at the questions my dinner-mate was asking. It was fine and we will return, but this was not the top notch service we usually get here.

The service was prompt and attentive without hovering, so that was great. We ordered the table-side guacamole which came with pimento cheese (extremely delicious) and salsa. I thought the serving size of the guacamole was a little light to share between two people, especially for $12, but it was very well made and delicious. As for the main courses, I ordered the special - a mahi mahi over rice and pasta with all sorts of olives, tomatoes and artichoke hearts - very mediterranean and tasty without being overwhelming. My friend ordered the shrimp scampi with gnocchi which he said was excellent. We ordered Key lime pie and Boston cream pie for dessert, both of which were huge portions and very delicious.
