  • "Food is good but its very noisy. We could barely talk over the voices at the table next to us."

  • "The view was priceless, but the food was nothing to write home about. I would suggest going there for a cocktail and eating dinner somewhere else."

  • "Everyone talks about how great this place is. Our reservation was for 2:30pm and we were informed that we could not get a table outside. My server greeted us with a dirty shirt and it was so loud I could barely hear her. Then my scallops and my companion's crab cakes were so salty. Maybe the brunch will be better from lunch but as of right now it doesn't live up to the hype."

  • "The food I had (salad and crab dip) was delicious. But I don't eat pork or beef, and carved turkey on the menu but not available that day...no apologies, no offer of substitute, just no. Then they supposedly had passed items (shrimp and sushi), that never appeared. I asked the waiter twice and nothing come (45 mins). I asked the manager and they magically appeared just for me. Other tables were not offered any. And they give you one shrimp at a time. The egg white dish was empty twice when I went to refill. They were making fresh guacamole and getting some without cilantro was too much to ask. I love Founding Farmers and this is a step down in service. There was one waitress, Giliana, who was delightful despite other poor service."

  • "Really awesome brunch at a great price!! The ambiance is really nice with a great view of the fountain in Georgetown."

  • "$35-40 each with tip buys you a better breakfast than you can even dream of. The bacon alone changed my life."

  • "The farmers are excellent in the amount of veggie options; the fishers are excellent with the artichoke and crab dip -- maybe add crabmeat for the eggs?; The bakers take the cake -- so to speak with the biscuits and sweet rolls delivered to the table within 3 minutes of arriving. Well done and well served!"

  • "Salty overpriced food, really poor service (asked for several items not once but twice and still never received them), and extremely noisy. Also really poor wine list where there was no incentive to order anything at all. Oh well, plenty of other choices."

  • "The eclectic menu offers something for everyone. The biggest problem is trying to decide what to get! Highly recommend the Kale salad, chicken tenders, pretzel appetizer, maki rolls and tacos. The drinks are a tad pricey, but I'm not complaining. I do not live in the area, but will return here when I come back to DC!"

  • "This place has a large space without feeling like a chain restaurant--great for 2 or for groups (make a reservation first though!). We talked about the food for the first hour of our brunch it was that good. Buffets often mean low-quality since it is mass produced food--not here though! Their biscuits, pimento cheese, salads, fried chicken, eggs Benedict, and cinnamon rolls are the tops items that stuck out to me. Will definitely make the trek to Gtown more often for this brunch!"

  • "I prefer the original Founding Farmers to this one. The menu is not as good and the only thing that is better is the possibility of outdoor seating, however there was a 30-minute wait. Would be nice if you could book outdoor seating in advance. Even though it is marketed as waterfront, you can't see the river. Service was OK, waiter spoke very quietly and timing of table-visits were a bit odd. I had the steak/frites - no way it was 9oz! Very tiny piece of meat, but well cooked as ordered. Came with mushrooms, not mentioned and weird peas. Husband has fish-stew. A bit watery and not very nice. Might return to try something else if we can book an outside table or if cozy in winter, but for now will stick to one on Pennsylvania ave."

  • "Everything was great! We love Founding Farmers and decided to try FFB-- it did not disappoint. Make sure to get the pretzels as an appetizer!"

  • "A colleague and I met for lunch here on one of DC's rare mild summer days. Sitting outside was perfect. Wait staff was professional and accommodating. The only thing that keeps my food score from earning 5 stars is that the fig and proscuitto pizza I ordered was slightly overdone on the bottom. But it was delicious, as was the kale salad my dining companion had."

  • "Hotel desk clerk highly recommended that we eat here because everything is delicious. He was absolutely right. Excellent meal with memorable service. Wish we lived here to make it a regular place to eat."

  • "Would have given 5 stars if the service was better. Server might have been new, but he was not knowledgable about the menu. We asked for a gluten- free menu and he brought a meatless menu and did not seem sure of how to deal with allerg issues. Had to ask a few times for more water etc."

  • "I've been here several times and it's great! The food is very good - great fried chicken!"

  • "The brunch is amazing- $30 all you can eat buffet. But the buffet is not the usual it's filled with both lunch and breakfast food with gourmet desserts fit for foodies. The space is large which was perfect for a large group like ours. Our server was never not smiling and overall it was a great dining experience."

  • "Although the food at this restaurant was good, the Brunch buffet has too much Pork meat. Would like to see a balance of a variety of meats to choose from. The only poultry offered was fried chicken and the only seafood was crab dip drenched in fatty mayo and cream. Even the rice had pork meats. I was disappointed that there was no fish offered for brunch. The hummus selection was excellent along with salads and grilled broccoli rabe. The noise level was loud but manageable and the wait staff was great. The omlete station was good and had an excellent selection of vegetables to choose from. It is best to make a reservation if you plan to eat at this restaurant."

  • "I've been to FFB a few times for brunch. From service to food to location, it's a top spot for a consistently excellent brunch."
    Dined on 8/10/2014
  • "So much food, so if you don't eat a lot, the $30.00 per person fee is high for brunch. The food was fresh and refilled often. Plus, they bring extra food to your table. But if you fill up after some eggs and french toast - then it's definitely not worth it. We wouldn't go back for brunch, but would go for a meal we could order off the menu."

  • "FF&B has the most amazing brunch, partially presented in buffet style. There was such a variety of choices and all were delicious. There are servers that also come to the table with items like homemade biscuits, cinnamon rolls, sushi, eggs benedict, fried shrimp, and pizza. Some of my favorite buffet items were the fresh corn, kale salad, puffy tacos with special toppings, guacamole, bacon still on a slab, egg station, and fried chicken wings. Lastly there were some homemade sweet treats like blackberry cheesecake, key lime pie, beignets, chocolate peanut butter pie that was so light and creamy. I have to return to DC in January and I can't wait to return!"

  • "Brunch here is absolutely amazing. $30 gets you all you can eat at the very large buffet, stocked with salads, french toast, omelets, desserts, grits, guacamole, etc. All of the food is delicious, and the drinks are also delightful. The location in Georgetown can make it hard to get to, but it's worth it for a special occasion. If it's nice out, definitely sit outside and look out at the water and the fountain."

  • "Are you sure you didn't make a reservation at Founding Farmers I asked? I was not familiar with the restaurant, but our 24 year old daughter was and she thought I'd like it. And I do. The menu is large and covers a lot territory. And because everything is fresh, the kitchen may indeed run out of more than one item. We got there around 10:30 after a performance of the Lion King and, while starving, did not want a heavy meal. We started with some sushi - very good and table side guacamole - -meh. My guac is better. Two of us, while not vegetarians opted for a vege sandwich on raisin walnut bread. It was amazing. The side slaw was just ok. Soft tacos were a hit and the crab cake got high marks. The craft beer list is ridic good."

  • "Then this is the place to go. This is more of an amusement park without the rides than it is a restaurant. The noise level is airport runway loud; reservations are not respected and the menu is psychotic. This place takes the foodie concept and brings it to a new low for scene over quality. Yes, they promote local ingredients but so what? Who serves sushi with burgers and pizza and fried chicken? Servers require multiple requests for simple items and waiters don't actually serve the food; runners do which makes everything inconsistent and problems fall on deaf ears. Maybe the bar scene is cool; but again prepare to yell your order because that is the only way anyone is going to hear you."

  • "Food was great, the menu almost had too many options for first time diners! Great ambiance, build-out was very cool. Lovely if you can get a seat on the patio overlooking the Georgetown waterfront!"

  • "Food and ambiance were great. The service, for food, was very good, but slow on the drinks. We had to order a second drink at the time we received our first drink, in order to time it right. Other than slow drinks, it was a great place for our group prior to hitting the Kennedy Center."

  • "The atmosphere is nice. Lots of couples. However the food is mediocre. Not worth the hefty price. Very over priced for the quality of the food. For $20 an entree I expect to get an excellent meal that tastes far better than I can cook myself. I don't cook much but I can cook tastier salmon and steak than this restaurant."

  • "I've heard great things about this place for brunch, but words didn't do justice for how delicious this place was. Every single thing we tried from the brunch buffet was on par with the best we've ever had, and very interesting and unique spins on regular dishes. The grapefruit with caramelized sugar on top, watermelon seasoned with basil, and out of this world French toast are all reasons that I'd go back here in a heartbeat.. not to mention the friendly wait staff comes around to each table with other delicious food such as cinnamon rolls, biscuits, eggs benedict, and more. I recommend coming here VERY hungry and promise you will not be disappointed!"

  • "We have been to a lot of brunch places in the DC area and this place was outstanding. The food quality and options were outstanding. The service was amazing and very quick to grab plates and make sure we had everything we needed."

  • "Very active on a Friday evening so we made reservations on the early side at 6 pm. The kale salad, hot crab dip, and chicken wings fried in duck fat are great as appetizers. Our entrees consisted of a cheeseburger, jambalaya, plank grilled salmon, artisan pizza. Dessert was the beignets which were good as usual."

  • "This is my daughter's fave place! We celebrated her 16 an 17th birthday, here. She loves the variety of seafood and special drinks that tastes grown up. She decided to bring her boyfriend's parents who have traveled the world for fine restaurants. We had a large group that evening, especially Friday night. I really appreciate the excellent service from our waiting and the team who had made this event special. My youngest daughter who is five, loved her pink flamingo straw for her juice from our waiter. We couldn't have found a better place to impress our future in laws with food, service and the location."

  • "We were quickly seated and selected and ordered drinks/food without wait or incident. The food was quickly delivered to our table. After asking for ranch dressing 3 times over a 20 minute period we still did not have ranch dressing. The check came halfway through the meal—about 30 minutes after being seated—despite the fact that we were still eating (aka waiting on ranch dressing). We were at the table for less than an hour, so clearly not overstaying our welcome. I've never felt more rushed to leave (particularly when I would have had another drink or dessert)!"

  • "We had an early dinner before a show at the kennedy Center. Prices were every reasonable, food was good and service was pretty quick. Wait staff were very knowledgable and friendly. We would definately go there again."

  • "My family and I arrived really early for our reservation. I checked with the hostess and she said they would be able to get us seated in 15-20 minutes. We decided to get a drink at the bar. After checking twice more and our actual reservation time came and went, we decided to just grab something at the bar. The bartender (Russell?) was great and made our meal really enjoyable. The food was great and we would definitely go back."

  • "In DC on vacation staying near the mall, so I don't know the area, and we have not been finding a lot of sit-down dining that isn't in a hotel or Smithsonian which are very expensive and not the best quality food. Thankfully I found this one and we gave it a shot and finally got a good meal. Our waitress was extremely friendly, the food came out quickly and was quite good. Hopefully the next time I am in DC I will remember the restaurant and go back."

  • "I have been to Farmers three times. The first was for brunch which was phenomenal. The entire layout was full of good eats, and the service was wonderful. The second time I came was for dinner. My fiance and I brought my parents from Boston. Two of us ordered the crabcakes and 2 of us ordered the scallops - both delicious and plentiful! The third time I came for dinner and I got the sauteed shrimp with gnocchi - a little too salty. My fiance ordered the pizza, which he absolutely loved. My only request is that they change the sauce for the sushi. We go to sushi places often and the sauce served with the sushi at Farmers is bitter and overall just not a good fit. However, the sushi itself was very fresh."
