  • "Request one of the inset booths in the back. It was a great place for lunch."

  • "This is a brunch review only! Their brunch is a mix of passed options and "stations" that includes coffee and non-boozey drinks. They pass eggs benedict, california rolls, pizza, etc. The stations are different types of scrambled eggs and a carving station with slabs of BACON, build-your-own tacos w/ freshly made guacomole, to-die-for honey fried chicken, grilled veggies & salads w/ melt in your mouth sugarglazed half-grapefruits and small bites for dessert. I recommend making reso's on the earlier side, I've been on the tail end before and it's a sad sight. Great view of the G-town waterfront, good vibe, cool decor, healthy + indulgent options, attentive service, all-in-all a cool hipster brunch scene ;)"

  • "FFB is a very good place for Sunday brunch. Large selection and food was very good. It gets very crowded (and very noisy) so make a reservation. Service was just OK, as we had to ask several times for drinks. If the weather is nice, consider sitting outside."

  • "Beautiful day for outdoor brunch. Be advised you are not on the water, you are outside looking at a fountain. You cannot see the river. The reviews were correct. The service is spotty at best. They give you a whole spiel about circulating food and you can order from your waiter - none of which is true. They bring around tons of pizza and you have to beg for eggs benedict, which never arrived. We were dining with a vegan and it was very difficult for her since none of the food is labeled. You have to guess what it is and then guess what they put in it."

  • "FFB is a stylish place with eager and enthusiastic servers and it's open until midnight on the weekends which makes it a perfect stop after a movie in Georgetown. The menu is almost overwhelming -- sushi, pizza, burgers, fried chicken. Everything we tried was good, if not particularly memorable. But the prices are reasonable, you can get a beer and shot for $12, and let's face it, Georgetown is not awash in great dining options, especially at 10 p.m. We'll be back."

  • "Ok so I am a 11 yr old kid. I had the chicken jambalya and guacamole and chips to start. Both dishes were amazing the only thing I would comment on is just to put a little pool of chicken broth on the bottom of plate and that will make it even better. I had the bengeis and the ice cream sandwiches for dessert, they were great! I would recommend this place!"

  • "Three out of five guests at my table thought their food was too salty. My brother thought the baked scallops were too salty and decided not to order another dish to take home to his wife. My sister thought the bread on the fish sliders were too salty."

  • "We went for drinks and appetizers and had a great time. They have a great selection of beers on tap, and our server was sweet to offer us a sample of any beers we wanted to try. My favorite appetizer was the soft pretzels with dips, but the crab dip was also very good. We probably wouldn't order the guacamole again, though, since it was just ok and quite pricey ($12). Overall, I would definitely recommend this spot. They have a diverse range of options on their menu and the service is excellent."

  • "Highly suggest this great restaurant. I went there for bunch with a group of 5. The service was great, the buffet selection was excellent, delicious drinks."

  • "I had a great brunch, however I was not satisfied with the service."

  • "I had scallops and a moscow mule. The drink was the best moscow mule I have ever had. The scallops were fantastic. We also had a tuna tartare appetizer which was great. My only complaint is that they were not able to seat us on time for our reservation."

  • "This was my second visit and second service disaster. Ordered a shared appetizer, waited awhile and ordered entrees. Finally the appetizer came and two bites into it, they arrived with our entrees! We sent them back, knowing they would sit under the heat lamps so I said the fried scallops would be inedible sitting all that time so the waitress promised fresh. Finished the appetizer and the entrees came back (mine had salad on the plate, which was now warm and wilted) and the scallops came back ice cold! Sent them back so one of us watched the others eat for 10 mins, the manager came, still no scallops! (ps when they arrived they were not very good). Ordered decaf...it was clearly instant! Sent it back."

  • "Great find! Interesting, fresh menu. Although we had to wait almost 15 minutes for our reserved table, we were given an adorable booth in an alvoce - perfect for our family group celebrating the start of college. Service was superb - (and we had a water person, a great waitress, folks who checked our drink levels and another server who just stopped to check on us) friendly knowledgeable and engaging. Pretzel appetizer a ten; tableside guacamole yummy but not as much as we would have expected. Rockfish was the catch of the day and could not have been better! Brussels sprout salad a disappointment - shaved frizled slivers of perhaps half of one brussels sprout. Overall, we give this exciting vibrant eclectic & fun place a 9.5!!"

  • "the volume in this restaurant was deafening - we could hear the voices of every individual around is AND the lyrics to the music, but we couldn't hear one another. there was only one server for an enormous section (ours) and he not only messed up our order but never came back, really, and no one cleaned our table and took our plates. we sat with finished starter dishes until our entree came...35 minutes later (one chicken and one fish). not a great time."

  • "I expected a good meal since I had been to Founding Farmers and loved it. I was not disappointed. I went with 3 other people and we all had great meals. The restaurant was very busy but our server consistently checked on us and made sure we had whatever we needed. A little on the loud side, but it was a fun place."

  • "went for dinner. started off with some spicy tuna and crab rolls, to die for. had a great view of the fountain lighting up - beautiful. got an beer recommendation from the waiter (flying dog agave over flying dog 'the truth'), it was ok, a relaxed ale. had a crabcake sandwich for the main, light, savory, lots of crab, not overly seasoned, on a challah bun. came with ok fries and an amazing cocktail sauce gastrique. had chai tea for dessert, came in a small pot, included 3 decent sized mugs worth of tea, very nice way to end the dinner. waiter was kind and not overly attentive, just caring enough."

  • "Food is good but its very noisy. We could barely talk over the voices at the table next to us."

  • "The view was priceless, but the food was nothing to write home about. I would suggest going there for a cocktail and eating dinner somewhere else."

  • "The pretzels were amazing as in delicious. The crab dip was missing crab. The chicken over cooked. Recommend for the pretzels, beers and drinks."

  • "Everyone talks about how great this place is. Our reservation was for 2:30pm and we were informed that we could not get a table outside. My server greeted us with a dirty shirt and it was so loud I could barely hear her. Then my scallops and my companion's crab cakes were so salty. Maybe the brunch will be better from lunch but as of right now it doesn't live up to the hype."

  • "The food I had (salad and crab dip) was delicious. But I don't eat pork or beef, and carved turkey on the menu but not available that day...no apologies, no offer of substitute, just no. Then they supposedly had passed items (shrimp and sushi), that never appeared. I asked the waiter twice and nothing come (45 mins). I asked the manager and they magically appeared just for me. Other tables were not offered any. And they give you one shrimp at a time. The egg white dish was empty twice when I went to refill. They were making fresh guacamole and getting some without cilantro was too much to ask. I love Founding Farmers and this is a step down in service. There was one waitress, Giliana, who was delightful despite other poor service."

  • "$35-40 each with tip buys you a better breakfast than you can even dream of. The bacon alone changed my life."
    Dined on 8/17/2014
  • "The farmers are excellent in the amount of veggie options; the fishers are excellent with the artichoke and crab dip -- maybe add crabmeat for the eggs?; The bakers take the cake -- so to speak with the biscuits and sweet rolls delivered to the table within 3 minutes of arriving. Well done and well served!"

  • "Salty overpriced food, really poor service (asked for several items not once but twice and still never received them), and extremely noisy. Also really poor wine list where there was no incentive to order anything at all. Oh well, plenty of other choices."

  • "The eclectic menu offers something for everyone. The biggest problem is trying to decide what to get! Highly recommend the Kale salad, chicken tenders, pretzel appetizer, maki rolls and tacos. The drinks are a tad pricey, but I'm not complaining. I do not live in the area, but will return here when I come back to DC!"

  • "This place has a large space without feeling like a chain restaurant--great for 2 or for groups (make a reservation first though!). We talked about the food for the first hour of our brunch it was that good. Buffets often mean low-quality since it is mass produced food--not here though! Their biscuits, pimento cheese, salads, fried chicken, eggs Benedict, and cinnamon rolls are the tops items that stuck out to me. Will definitely make the trek to Gtown more often for this brunch!"

  • "Brunch is everything and more a party of 2 or 8 could ask for."

  • "I prefer the original Founding Farmers to this one. The menu is not as good and the only thing that is better is the possibility of outdoor seating, however there was a 30-minute wait. Would be nice if you could book outdoor seating in advance. Even though it is marketed as waterfront, you can't see the river. Service was OK, waiter spoke very quietly and timing of table-visits were a bit odd. I had the steak/frites - no way it was 9oz! Very tiny piece of meat, but well cooked as ordered. Came with mushrooms, not mentioned and weird peas. Husband has fish-stew. A bit watery and not very nice. Might return to try something else if we can book an outside table or if cozy in winter, but for now will stick to one on Pennsylvania ave."

  • "Everything was great! We love Founding Farmers and decided to try FFB-- it did not disappoint. Make sure to get the pretzels as an appetizer!"

  • "A colleague and I met for lunch here on one of DC's rare mild summer days. Sitting outside was perfect. Wait staff was professional and accommodating. The only thing that keeps my food score from earning 5 stars is that the fig and proscuitto pizza I ordered was slightly overdone on the bottom. But it was delicious, as was the kale salad my dining companion had."

  • "Hotel desk clerk highly recommended that we eat here because everything is delicious. He was absolutely right. Excellent meal with memorable service. Wish we lived here to make it a regular place to eat."

  • "I really liked this place - friendly with a nice casual atmosphere but still good service and good food. The highlight was the Tuna Tartare style starter which was fresh, beautifully presented and wonderfully flavored."

  • "Would have given 5 stars if the service was better. Server might have been new, but he was not knowledgable about the menu. We asked for a gluten- free menu and he brought a meatless menu and did not seem sure of how to deal with allerg issues. Had to ask a few times for more water etc."

  • "The brunch is amazing- $30 all you can eat buffet. But the buffet is not the usual it's filled with both lunch and breakfast food with gourmet desserts fit for foodies. The space is large which was perfect for a large group like ours. Our server was never not smiling and overall it was a great dining experience."

  • "Although the food at this restaurant was good, the Brunch buffet has too much Pork meat. Would like to see a balance of a variety of meats to choose from. The only poultry offered was fried chicken and the only seafood was crab dip drenched in fatty mayo and cream. Even the rice had pork meats. I was disappointed that there was no fish offered for brunch. The hummus selection was excellent along with salads and grilled broccoli rabe. The noise level was loud but manageable and the wait staff was great. The omlete station was good and had an excellent selection of vegetables to choose from. It is best to make a reservation if you plan to eat at this restaurant."
