3rd trip to FFB on a Sunday @ lunchtime, finally got it right. 1st time: I didn't know to ask specifically for the buffet option. 2nd: tho I was told when I made the res it was during brunch, staff told me on arrival that time was too late for that (tho did semi-try to accommodate). 3rd: res made a month in advance for 11:30am -- unquestionably brunch time. I wish FFB had a wheelchair available, but they otherwise helpfully gave info to move a person w/ disability. Our waiter was OUTSTANDING. Quick with water and calling over the bread; wasn't pushy about our ordering drinks; when we did order a punch, brought an individual bowl so the PWD didn't have to lean way forward to reach the big bowl's straw. Food good & fresh except paella.

I'm a huge fan of brunch, so I had to try out this brunch buffet. I treated my partner for his birthday. I loved the cinnamon rolls and the french toast with bananas foster especially! The hummus and pita bread was also very good. I wish there were some staple breakfast foods that weren't there: breakfast potatoes, bacon. Neither of us really enjoyed our drinks--he got a mimosa and I got one of the handmade sodas. He said his tasted like orangina with champagne, and mine tasted mainly of seltzer fizz with just a hint of actual flavor. The actual food was very good though, and I would return.

My boyfriend and I came here for our anniversary dinner and had a phenomenal meal. The food was absolutely delicious (crab dip appetizer is a must) and ordered very tasty cocktails (the organic cucumber delight is very refreshing!). Our waiter was friendly and very knowledgeable about the menu. My only complaint is where we were seated having made a reservation a month in advance with requested seating, but definitely didn't spoil the evening. Will definitely return!

Our table was one of those that gets caught in a battle for who does not want to serve it. The waitperson was on a break (do I need to know this?). It took for ever to order and the waitperson that finally arrived said, "I guess I am your server (for now)." We ordered drinks, a can of coke arrived without a glass...the appetizer was finished and our main order was never taken. Then someone showed up and said "I am off break now..." We ordered a side of bread and only 1 of three pieces arrived. Then half the order came and we waited for the rest. In the interim, the table was located in a foot path for the wait staff and we were constantly, constantly being bumped. The table was never cleared off, but hey, somehow the check arrived.

I was greatly looking forward to this experience but was amazed that the buffet was the only option for brunch. The ambience and the noise level were very reminiscent of a high school cafeteria. I would return to give it another try if they offered an a la carte brunch menu otherwise may give it another try for dinner. Staff was pleasant but not efficient. Location is awesome!

The food was just okay, but the most disappointing and outrageous thing were the drinks. Order martinis that was served in the smallest glass the restaurant had. The martini had no taste, the organic vodka was blend but what really got us was the charge of $4.00 to upgrade the drink to a martini. Will not be back.

Went to farmers fishers bakers on a friend's recommendation. We were not disappointed. The waiting staff were all very friendly and helpful. The menu had a good variety and I was particularly impressed by the vegan / veggie specials. I went for a pizza which was fine, though not amazing (way too much cheese). but overall very happy and would have no hesitation in recommending to others.

My grandparents are from lower Alabama and came to visit in the "big city." We had Sunday dinner at FFB. We ordered cocktails and pretzel app - the bbq mustard and the drinks were ridiculously fresh. She had chicken tenders, he had fried shrimp, and I had the lemon sauteed scallops. I recommend all three. Plus, our server was great.

I'd heard many good things about FFB and was excited when my sister was coming so I would have an excuse to plan a big brunch. I made a reservation 2 weeks in advance, because I heard they get packed. We arrived on time for our reservation and still waited 15 minutes before we were seated. When we sat down, our waiter never told us that we could go ahead and serve ourselves for their buffet-style brunch. We eventually asked a passing busser if that was okay. (We had informed our waiter that it was our first time eating there). The service throughout our meal was just whatever. Overall, fun brunch and good food, but the service seriously leaves something to be desired for the amount of money we spent after drinks.

After hearing such great things about the brunch I was very disappointed in both the quality of the food and the service. We were there at 10am which was not peak time yet the food on the tables was ill presented and very mediocre in quality. The service was SLOW and we had to repeatedly ask for the free flowing items. I would like to say that the food is good and there are plenty of options on the menu. I had a reservation for 8:45 pm on a saturday and my party of 4 did not get seated until 9:20 pm. The hosts were trying though and ended up giving us a booth next to the window rather than the one they had pointed out to me in the back. I also think that the kitchen was backed up and the servers a bit overwhelmed since our food took a while to come out. I will return for sure, but just not on a friday or saturday night.

Was extremely disappointed in the service and atmosphere (or lack thereof on both counts), which ended up negating whatever pleasure we found in the delicious food. Only received drinks after reminding several different members of the waitstaff we were still waiting on them 30 minutes later (and this continued to happen every time we ordered more.) The hostess was lovely and helpful when seating us, but the group was put in a bad mood by the end of the evening. Would only return to this place if we ordered takeout, which is too bad because the food really was fantastic.

The service was slow and this was only linch time, I can only imagine the dinner rush. We ordered the white wine mussels which were pretty bad. I'm not that picky about food but the broth was absolutely flavorless. Fortunately it was taken off our bill. We also ordered the fig pizza which was yummy. I've heard good things about this place so I really wanted to like it. I may give it one more shot.

I like the concept, the food was good, our waitress excellent and the bartender helpful. But the host stand left something to be desired. I was meeting friends and wanted to be in the right place (I didn't see the restaurant name since I came from the side - past dirty dishes stacked at a visible busing station) and I asked at the host stand the name. The man yawned, and while covering his mouth said the name. I asked him to repeat what he said and I got an eyeroll. Really? I almost left, but then thought I'd talk to the manager, and finally decided to relax and get over it. That's when the bartender was very helpful, and friendly, and he turned my mood back to good. Honestly though, I'm going to think twice before going back.

arrived 5 mins early and had to wait 10 mins for table, 'hosts' distracted and impersonal, seater took us to an awful table and couldn't understand why I said I wouldn't sit there, then entered into a 3 way conversation with host and seater re why there wasn't a better table available when there clearly were. Eventually seater who was at a loss asked if we wanted to see a manager, manager showed up and WITHOUT A WORD of any kind showed us to an acceptable table . waitress not too sharp or focused, drinks took for ever to arrive, waitress recommended 2 servings of pretzels to start which were way too much, shared pizza as a main, would have been better from papa johns, founding farmers going down hill, would seem you also, menu way to long

I'd heard good things and made a reservation here for my birthday. Service was very slow. Server took our drink orders instantly before anyone even had a breath to look at the drink list - my mom asked about whether they had chianti (since she didn't have time to look at the wine list) "Is that a brand of wine?" the server asked. It was so loud, I have to think he just couldn't hear her. Came back at least three times each time with no drinks, no drinks, took an appetizer order but still no drinks. Finally drinks, finally apps, finally he takes the entrée order. Food was okay. But the restaurant was so loud and distracting it was nearly impossible to have a conversation. That said the staff were super nice, just disorganized.

I've been to this restaurant several times, and I've been very pleased with most of my experiences. However, the last time that I went there, it was not quite as good. The food was still very good, albeit a little over priced, but the service this time was terrible. The waitress was very slow to take our order, and not very enthusiastic or happy. We ordered the guacamole, which is fantastic, but it didn't come with enough chips. We asked for extra chips, which turned out to be an extra $2.50, but the waitress didn't say anything. I was a little disappointed with the poor service this time, and I will definitely be trying different restaurants instead of FF&B in the future. Also the music was a little too loud.

The hostesses weren't friendly or accommodating at all, the place was incredibly loud, the waiter recommended the rock sole which was amazingly bland (basically, a piece of fried fish on grits with some peas on top), the waiter forgot to bring the lemon wedges we requested for our water, we were continually having to wait for anything from him, whether it was a menu, to order, to get our coffee, etc. And the prices weren't great, either ($24 for my boring lunch, $30 for brunch). Just about the only thing this place has going for it is its location on the waterfront (but even then there's not much of a view from its position in the back of the courtyard), which is the only reason I can assume people eat here.
