  • "The location on the Potomac on the harbor is scenic and good for an after dinner stroll. There is outdoor seating. You are also near the canal and M street, in Georgetown. The restaurant is bright, noisy, air-conditioned a little too cold, nothing special about the architecture or decor. Service was attentive and informative. Our server happily replaced a dish that had an ingredient one diner could not eat. The food is where this restaurant shines. The items on the menu are varied (everything from salad to pizza to sandwiches), salads are excellent, fish tacos were also good, crab cake sandwich was also good. The food is fresh and light, healthy and attractive to look at."

  • "We had a terrific working lunch at FFB. The staff knows the menu well, was able to accommodate a few special requests/needs, and made some wonderful suggestions. When the restaurant fills uip it gets quite loud, and the airplanes outside make dinig out a bit of a challenge, even in really nice weather. The menu is inventive, well-prepared and presented, and the portions appripriate (escept for desserts, which are HUGE and can easily be shared). We will return!"

  • "We decided to try this place based on pretty good reviews. And that's my rating- pretty good. The service by our waiter was very good. He answered all the questions we had. But, they ran out of the puffy corn tacos for my husbands fish tacos and had to make a substitution, twice they tried to deliver the wrong food to our table (it looked good!), and when we first arrived they "lost" our drink order. The beer list was impressive, and the food was quite good. I enjoyed the mushroom reuben while my daughter thought her scallops tasted a bit "rich". The appetizers were delicious (brick oven pretzels/calamari) as were the desserts (key lime pie/ice cream sandwiches). Next time, we might stick with a bunch of appetizers and more desserts!"

  • "Sadly we didn't make it in time for brunch but the lunch was wonderful. We were able to get a table outside. Our waiter was wonderful. Staff was kind and attentive. Mimosas were yummy and the fish tacos were scrumptious. Will definitely be back- hopefully can try the brunch which looked so good. The entire experience made it a wonderful afternoon."

  • "We went for brunch but did not realize brunch finished at 2pm & our reservation was for 2.15pm. Although the food was still out we were discouraged from selecting from it & encouraged to have the main menu instead. Also did not realize the menu is the same as at Founding Farmers"

  • "Unfortunately, all the items on the brunch menu were extremely salty. This was never the case before. Even my children complained how salty the guacomole and everything was. Huge disappointment as it was one of my favorite spots for brunch before."

  • "The food was excellent but the service was disappointing. Our cinnamon rolls did not arrive until we were midway through our meal, I had to ask twice for a glass of orange juice, and none of the roving food selections passed our table until we were nearly done with our meal and ready for desert. For the amount of money they charged for brunch, I was expecting more attentative service."

  • "Took my girlfriends family to FFB while they were in town, expecting an outstanding meal. As usual, the kitchen delivered, but the bar and waitstaff were not up to par. We started with drinks and appetizers, and finished our first round before ordering entrees. We put in orders for entrees and a second round of drinks about the same time, but the drinks didn't arrive until after most of our party had finished eating, and two never showed up at all. Turns out they were sent to the wrong table. Anyway, we finally got our drinks right before dessert was served, but a lime and rye mile doesn't taste great with bananas foster. Long story short, amazing food but the service nearly ruined the whole experience."

  • "Pros: Excellent food and drinks. The food is locally sourced when possible and the drinks are made with fresh ingredients. Cons: Lack of flexibility with drinks. We were told that the bar didn't serve classic drinks such as Amaretto Sour and Pina Colada. Huh? What kind of bar doesn't serve Amaretto sour? It appeared as though they were trying to push the menu drinks on us. The server did not tell us what the fish of the day was nor was he familiar with the preparation of the dishes . The wait time was long, approx 30 minutes past our reservation time. This place is really loud. The food is excellent at this place, however I would not recommend it if you want a laid back vibe and want to enjoy both dinner and conversation."

  • "Great brunch buffet. Service was lacking and did not get refills on our coffee during our meal and requested the sushi and shrimp early during the meal and had to ask 3 times if it was coming. If you want to relax and have a great meal with friends and family this is the place to go. There is enough selection for any type of eater."

  • "This was my go-to spot for brunch whenever friends come to town, but I won't be back. They took away the omlette bar and replaced it with ready-made scrambled eggs. The eggs are not good because although they have them on a hot plate they were cold by the time I got them, also the egg guy was very snippy and said he would only make custom eggs for allergy reasons. I didn't want to argue or lie, and just because I happened to not like sausage in my eggs I had to only eat the egg white eggs (there's only two options, pre-made with the restaurants choice of ingredients). I was disappointed. Without the omlette bar, the brunch is just not worth the $30.00 price tag. You can go elsewhere, order a la carte and spend way less, get what you want"

  • "This was my third time having the brunch buffet at FFBs. As always, the food was great. However, the service wasn't idea. We couldn't find our waiter/waitress to order the basics - water, tea and coffee. After waiting for some time, we gave up and decided to get our food. When we returned, still no waiter/waitress so we asked an employee for help. She went into the restaurant and found our waitress who was helping other diners."

  • "I do love to eat delicious food and there was plenty of it here. We sat outside as the weather was nice and the view was nice also. Everything here was great. The fresh cranberry juice was unlike anything I have ever tasted and the french toast convinced me that gluttony was ok for a day. I am looking forward to dining here again."

  • "From the drink order to the food order they kept making mistakes. Brought food to the table that was not ours not once - but three times, food did not come for the table at the same time, 3 times we had to send dishes back as they were cold or overcooked. Server was confused and non responsive. And when the bill came it had 8 items that were not ours on it and were overbilling us by over $100. We spoke to manager and he spent more time talking than fixing any of the problems. It was supposed to be a special occasion for our team of co - workers and it turned out to be a total downer."

  • "The wide variety of options means everyone can find something they like. Food is generally fresh and tasty. The service is a bit heavy handed--they kept trying to remove the quacamole we had not finished, and they tried to rush us with the check even though no one one was waiting for a table."

  • "I finally tried the Wisconsin Burger -- a burger and bacon between two grilled cheese sandwiches. It was good, but not great. The peanut slaw is delicious. Be warned: sweetened iced tea will run you $4 a glass, with NO REFILLS. Outrageous. But you can't beat the outside dining area and view."

  • "Booked this restaurant on a recommendation from a friend. It was great! Service was great, food was very tasty and we got to sit outside and enjoy the day. They even sat us early (we were there about 45 min early). Only negative was helicopters flying around the water area, but nothing anyone can do about that. Wasn't that bad, only happened a few times."

  • "Very nice waiter but our appetizers came with our dinner... He took them off our bill without us asking though...Servers were walking back and forth past our table carrying our drinks but no one knew at whose table they belonged...our check came without our requesting it and before we were asked the very basic "coffee or dessert?" The food was very good though... The atmosphere is noisy but fun, although some tables are too close...the man sitting next to me, pushed away from the head of his table, reclining in his chair from his big meal, and was practically in my lap! I would give it another try but not on a weekend...."

  • "That is the star of brunch (although the pimento cheese will make you rethink your life's calling). If you can at least get through 2 plates of food, brunch is a fantastic deal. If not, you are still getting a great brunch. They have a wide variety of things - something for everyone. (Lot's of vegetarian options, too, to lighten the meal). I have had brunch twice at FFB, and both times it has been great."

  • "I went for brunch and ~$35 for a buffet is average, but "includes coffee" really means "we won't charge you extra, but don't expect a refill." The food was ok - nothing really spectacular, but nothing was under/over done, and overall I enjoyed the food I got. I would have liked a little more variety in the buffet. The service, however, was awful. For a buffet, the only thing the waitstaff really needs to be on top of are drink refills and clearing empty plates and our waitress did neither. We had to flag down other staff for coffee refills and resorted to taking our own empty plates and placing them on nearby empty tables to be picked up. With the plethora of brunch options in the city (many with easier parking) I won't be back."

  • "For a fun evening, with delicious and fresh food, I highly recommend Farmers. The atmosphere is lively and our service was really good. The place was packed and a reservation is a must. The only downside (if that) was that I ordered guacamole and then changed my mind and couldn't change the order. This struck us as odd, because the guacamole was made tableside. Also, of all the food we had, the guacamole was our least favorite. However, the cioppino was amazing, the trout was delicious, and the berry cobbler was the perfect dessert."

  • "Led to table by kitchen when plenty of other tables were available.Waiter told us about their farm to table dining, which I love.Came back with tepid pitcher of water along with glasses from hot dishwasher.After a long while we hadn't received our drink order.We were told our server was taking a break to get something to eat & he'd be back soon.Huh?It was so hot inside we were then told one of the ACs was broken.We were finally able to place our order a 1/2hr after our arrival.When our food came, it was so salty it was barely edible.Waiter sped things up when told we had tickets to a show. We thought reservations 2 1/2hrs before showtime was sufficient.Good:bathrooms (yes, bathrooms) were great as was dessert.Bad:way too loud, salty food."

  • "The food was so good here. My party for brunch particularly enjoyed the pork tacos, fried chicken, and chocolate cupcakes from the buffet. The cinnamon rolls and biscuits brought to the table were some of the best I've ever had. Fried Shrimp from one of the trays going around the restaurant was also a favorite."

  • "Good address for a brunch buffet. There is plenty to choose from and the food is great. However, we were a bit disappointed by the absence of classic brunch items such as pancakes or waffles. At $30/pers, juices should also be included in the price. I knew from the reviews I read before that the service was "rushed" and it is definitely true. We were not done with our plates that the check was already on our table. I found it profoundly annoying considering that there was no line and plenty of tables available. The host was also not very courteous by refusing to seat us 10 minutes before the reservation time - which was at 12.15 and again the dining area was not busy at all. I give 3 stars because of the staff's unpleasant behavior."

  • "My husband and I had brunch at Farmers Fishers Bakers on a beautiful Saturday morning. The food and service were incredible. Eggs benedict delivered to my table? I've been spoiled forever. The mint basil watermelon was so great that I wanted to take the bowl home. On top of the food, the ambiance is fantastic. I took a picture of the rolling pin wall in the chef's table room and need to figure out how to do that at home. Dine here, you'll want to come back the next day."

  • "The food is great, but the service has been slow every time I have gone. Our order was forgotten on Friday -- not great for impressing my new partner. The people next to us came after us and were finishing as our plates arrived. As always, it is quite noisy. Fine for younger folks but not good for business conversation. Oh -- and I never get a window table, no matter how early I put it in my reservation request."
