Initially Server was not so knowledgable; allowed us to purchase an order of bread when the crab dip we initially ordered as appitizer came with delicious warm pita bread. However Crab dip was waaaay to salty. Server also appeared to have attitude when we have more that a couple qiuestions."

  • "We dined at this restaurant after a glowing recommendation from a friend. The friend had never heard of Open Table (that should have been a clue). The seating is cramped, the service was sporadic and unorganized (they had to come to our table to see if we had been seated), they were out of certain wines although their list is not large and the noise level was reminiscent of a rock concert. The food was acceptable (scallops and spaghetti with clams) and possibly graded down due to the balance of the experience. The view of the Potomac was only available to those over 6 foot in height and standing (no view from the seated dining area)."

  • "I was disappointed. I read reviews commenting on poor service so I expected it to an extent. But when you have to request ice for your warm water OR wait 10 minutes for a waiter to walk by so you can get soy sauce to go with your sushi...that's a little much. My friend was half finished with her meal by the time I was served my two rolls and completely finished by the time I got soy sauce. The salmon roll was terrible. I told the server; she did nothing. So...I love food. Their bread is amazing. But honestly I would never go back and would not recommend. Too many good restaurants around to waste a meal here."

  • "Brunch is FABULOUS! Just be prepared to wait about ten minutes beyond your reservation time- it's very very busy and they do the best to accommodate with four or more hosts but it's hard to predict how long people will take at a buffet brunch. So just don't have any tight plans for after!"

  • "Have eaten here three times now. All three have been terrific. Wait staff friendly, helpful. Many choices from pizza (my fav has fig jam) to seafood and authentic puffy tacos my friend had that was delicious per my friend. Desserts are wonderful and I personally love the beignets. Make a reservation or you will wait at least an hour or more. However, the area has plenty of places to sit outside by the Potomac to wait. Nice location, parking close but pricy. You are in DC after all:)"

  • "Sadly deep fried, over-cooked,, generic, character-free dining experience met high expectations around what could be a lovely restaurant idea. It's great if you like cavernous rooms, uninspired sauces, and virtually nothing 'fresh' tasking (sushi aside). The notion of local, farm-to-fork, fresh, sustainable, etc... seems to be absent from their actual food. Would not bother unless you are desperate."

  • "We arrived at the time of our reservation and checked in with the host. We were told it'd be 10-15 minutes before we could be seated. We were both there and there were open tables. We were finally seated (15 minutes later) at a table that had been empty. This happened the first time we ate here a few months ago, too. Finally sat down, ordered the quacamole. Took 15 minutes for it to come out...but then our entrees came out before we had even finished the app. Server was no where to be found, except when it was time to present the check. VERY disappointed considering the good experiences I've had at Founding Farmers (sister restaurants). Since this was the same thing that happened on our first visit...we definitely will not be back."

  • "We took our family here to celebrate our son's 14th birthday, which we let the restaurant know in advance. Our table was not immediately ready and we went to the bar. Shortly thereafter, we were seated at an ordinary table near the bar. To our delight, before we ordered, the manager came and said she knew we were there for a special occasion and wanted us to have a booth by the window, with lovely view of the terrace and the river. Our waitress was super outgoing and helpful. All four of us ordered something different and delicious: salmon, steak,tuna, and scallops--yummy. Beignets with a birthday candle were a hit! Great evening!!!"

  • "I ordered the chicken jambalaya the second time of this month from FFB, but for some reason the dish didn't come with shrimps and the portion of the chicken was much smaller than the last time when I was there for lunch. As a frequent customer I was kind of disappointed, but obviously this won't stop me from going there again. Hope to see Camryn next time tho. I love FFB!"

  • "The restaurant has some of the most impeccable service I've experienced in DC. The waiter, the runners were cordial, sweet, kind. Very accommodating. The hostess stand was equally polite (but they took a tad too long to acknowledge me and got lost in conversations with each other). I had a special request they helped with and executed flawlessly. But. My food was awful. My dining companions liked their food (However, how are you out of pizza? Aren't they made fresh per order?), but my food was blech. Crab dip had a strange taste, though the chips were yummy. And I got a potato with my meal that was basically a salt bomb. Everyone who tasted it agreed 100%. Basically, bottom line, I've been to FFB twice now. I don't need to come again."

  • "The location on the Potomac on the harbor is scenic and good for an after dinner stroll. There is outdoor seating. You are also near the canal and M street, in Georgetown. The restaurant is bright, noisy, air-conditioned a little too cold, nothing special about the architecture or decor. Service was attentive and informative. Our server happily replaced a dish that had an ingredient one diner could not eat. The food is where this restaurant shines. The items on the menu are varied (everything from salad to pizza to sandwiches), salads are excellent, fish tacos were also good, crab cake sandwich was also good. The food is fresh and light, healthy and attractive to look at."

  • "We had a terrific working lunch at FFB. The staff knows the menu well, was able to accommodate a few special requests/needs, and made some wonderful suggestions. When the restaurant fills uip it gets quite loud, and the airplanes outside make dinig out a bit of a challenge, even in really nice weather. The menu is inventive, well-prepared and presented, and the portions appripriate (escept for desserts, which are HUGE and can easily be shared). We will return!"

  • "We decided to try this place based on pretty good reviews. And that's my rating- pretty good. The service by our waiter was very good. He answered all the questions we had. But, they ran out of the puffy corn tacos for my husbands fish tacos and had to make a substitution, twice they tried to deliver the wrong food to our table (it looked good!), and when we first arrived they "lost" our drink order. The beer list was impressive, and the food was quite good. I enjoyed the mushroom reuben while my daughter thought her scallops tasted a bit "rich". The appetizers were delicious (brick oven pretzels/calamari) as were the desserts (key lime pie/ice cream sandwiches). Next time, we might stick with a bunch of appetizers and more desserts!"

Mimosas were yummy and the fish tacos were scrumptious. Will definitely be back- hopefully can try the brunch which looked so good. The entire experience made it a wonderful afternoon."

Our cinnamon rolls did not arrive until we were midway through our meal, I had to ask twice for a glass of orange juice, and none of the roving food selections passed our table until we were nearly done with our meal and ready for desert. For the amount of money they charged for brunch, I was expecting more attentative service."

  • "Took my girlfriends family to FFB while they were in town, expecting an outstanding meal. As usual, the kitchen delivered, but the bar and waitstaff were not up to par. We started with drinks and appetizers, and finished our first round before ordering entrees. We put in orders for entrees and a second round of drinks about the same time, but the drinks didn't arrive until after most of our party had finished eating, and two never showed up at all. Turns out they were sent to the wrong table. Anyway, we finally got our drinks right before dessert was served, but a lime and rye mile doesn't taste great with bananas foster. Long story short, amazing food but the service nearly ruined the whole experience."

  • "Pros: Excellent food and drinks. The food is locally sourced when possible and the drinks are made with fresh ingredients. Cons: Lack of flexibility with drinks. We were told that the bar didn't serve classic drinks such as Amaretto Sour and Pina Colada. Huh? What kind of bar doesn't serve Amaretto sour? It appeared as though they were trying to push the menu drinks on us. The server did not tell us what the fish of the day was nor was he familiar with the preparation of the dishes . The wait time was long, approx 30 minutes past our reservation time. This place is really loud. The food is excellent at this place, however I would not recommend it if you want a laid back vibe and want to enjoy both dinner and conversation."

  • "Great brunch buffet. Service was lacking and did not get refills on our coffee during our meal and requested the sushi and shrimp early during the meal and had to ask 3 times if it was coming. If you want to relax and have a great meal with friends and family this is the place to go. There is enough selection for any type of eater."

  • "This was my go-to spot for brunch whenever friends come to town, but I won't be back. They took away the omlette bar and replaced it with ready-made scrambled eggs. The eggs are not good because although they have them on a hot plate they were cold by the time I got them, also the egg guy was very snippy and said he would only make custom eggs for allergy reasons. I didn't want to argue or lie, and just because I happened to not like sausage in my eggs I had to only eat the egg white eggs (there's only two options, pre-made with the restaurants choice of ingredients). I was disappointed. Without the omlette bar, the brunch is just not worth the $30.00 price tag. You can go elsewhere, order a la carte and spend way less, get what you want"

  • "This was my third time having the brunch buffet at FFBs. As always, the food was great. However, the service wasn't idea. We couldn't find our waiter/waitress to order the basics - water, tea and coffee. After waiting for some time, we gave up and decided to get our food. When we returned, still no waiter/waitress so we asked an employee for help. She went into the restaurant and found our waitress who was helping other diners."

The fresh cranberry juice was unlike anything I have ever tasted and the french toast convinced me that gluttony was ok for a day. I am looking forward to dining here again."

  • "From the drink order to the food order they kept making mistakes. Brought food to the table that was not ours not once - but three times, food did not come for the table at the same time, 3 times we had to send dishes back as they were cold or overcooked. Server was confused and non responsive. And when the bill came it had 8 items that were not ours on it and were overbilling us by over $100. We spoke to manager and he spent more time talking than fixing any of the problems. It was supposed to be a special occasion for our team of co - workers and it turned out to be a total downer."

  • "The wide variety of options means everyone can find something they like. Food is generally fresh and tasty. The service is a bit heavy handed--they kept trying to remove the quacamole we had not finished, and they tried to rush us with the check even though no one one was waiting for a table."
