They are always accommodating to any special requests. I have always had amazing dinners and Sunday brunches. I am lucky I live close by. It's my favorite place in San Diego. You can be equally at home here for a special occasion or just a last minute informal dinner. I had the fish special, corbina, crispiness with a wonderful melt in your mouth quality. We can't speak to the ambiance of the main room, downstairs, but the service and setting in our private room couldn't have been much better, and the food was excellent. The venue is small and rather noisy, actually quite similar to a European bistro.
