Farm Artisan Foodsoutstandinginteresting menu. healthy food. great preparation. beautiful presentation. vegan, vegetarian, and regular items on the menu. four of us went for lunch and walked around the charming town. we ordered the beet salad, halibut stew, chicken & brown rice/black bean entree. had it served family style so we could try everything. halibut stew was so good, we asked for soup spoons and bread so we could enjoy the sauce til the bottom of the bowl. we were surprised to find such amazing food in this location.6/6/2013 12:00:00 AMWe loved our lunch at FarmWe loved our lunch at Farm Artisan, but we had a difficult time deciding what to choose from the extensive menu options. Our choices: the veggie lasagna, the veggie Wellington, and the duck breast. They were all delicious with unique sides. Dessert selections were also varied. Our choices: the flourless chocolate cake, the strawberry tort, the cheesecake, and Wild Goose coffee. Again happy campers, all. Seating on the outdoor patio was perfect: comfortable, quiet, cool.
Our favorite aspect of Farm Artisan is that it uses local products. The creative, delicious menu items were a bonus. There is no comparison with any restaurant chains. Expect to pay more, but a great opportunity to support our local businesses.5/31/2013 12:00:00 AMSmashingMy husband and I went to Farm Artisan Foods for our anniversary dinner. We consider ourselves foodies and were not disappointed. The food was amazing. Also, the beer menu was surprisingly wonderful - lots of variety. Lots of new & interesting local brews.5/31/2013 12:00:00 AMA Hidden GemLocally grow foods are served to your table. More than organic certified, mashed potatoes has a very slight rich soil taste from a farm. The chesse sampler platter is tasty and it varies by what is avaliable. Meat and seafood is wonderful and its glutine free. There is also alot of vegan dishes that look tasty and smell great.5/25/2013 12:00:00 AMFresh Is Best!I loved that this restaurant served fresh foods and listed their items gluten free and/or vegan. Great staff, convenient location. Fine dining but not overly priced.5/23/2013 12:00:00 AMAll three of us thought theAll three of us thought the food was excellent. We enjoyed the unique flavors, the size of the portions, and the fresh ingredients. The service was just OK, and I felt the waitress really did not give us much attention. When we asked to split a salad and a dessert, she did not bother to bring us extra plates until we asked. For this price level we should not have had to ask. She was always in a hurry to take our order, even we were clearly still reading the menu.5/22/2013 12:00:00 AMBirthday dinnerWe went for a friends birthday to one of their beer tasting events. The food was excellent from the 3 course prefix menu. I hade the vegetarian while my friends had the short ribs . Both on them reported them as excellent! The background music was so relaxing we stayed for a bottle of wine after. Special thank you to the owner/ chef who so kindly comes out of the kitchen to say hi to us every time we come.5/22/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat but rather pricey evenGreat but rather pricey even for "organic/natural", etc.5/18/2013 12:00:00 AMMother's Day GemWe have been going to Farm Artisan for Mother's Day for several years. The food and the service have always been fantastic. The Farm is the best restaurant in Redlands.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMMother's Day BrunchMy daughter suggested going to Farm Artisan Foods for Mother's Day and I'm so glad we did. Apparently they had a special brunch just for Mother's Day. The menu selection was great. We each chose to have an egg dish. My husband and I both got the wild mushroom omelet. It was made with a Guyrere cheese. So good. My daughter ordered the Eggs Benedict. She said it had to be one of the best Eggs Benedict she had ever had. The Mimosas were so tasty. All of this was finished off with a dessert menu to die for. We chose the flour-less chocolate cake. It was a little rich for me but still tasted very good. Overall a great place to go for Mother's Day.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMI love this place. One of the best steaks I've ever enjoyed. Lovely everything, once again. This was our second visit and definitely not the last.5/7/2013 12:00:00 AMAmazing food and excellent service! The Chef is so creative. I love how the menu changes with the local ingredients of the season. Everything is always so fresh and unique, without being ridiculous. Highly recommend their vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options - all are winners. And best of all, the Chef has no problem customizing dishes for you to accomodate food allergies, prefererences. etc. We love the Farm!5/1/2013 12:00:00 AMNew MenuChef/Owner Roberto has a new menu that now includes several Gluten Free and Vegetarian items. With this change he is catering to a group of diners that have not had many choices in Redlands and the surrounding area. But with this change, he has diluted the menu choices for his regular "Foodie" diners and the menu now is boring. The quality of the food we chose was excellent as uusual, but the choices were fewer. Also, our server was not at all famaliar with the new menu and had to ask the kitchen several times on how new menu items were prepared, the type of sauce, etc. One response to a question we asked about a menu item was for the kitchen to send out a small sample of this item. Even great restaurants and chefs have bad days.4/27/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat for vegan/vegetarianGreat for vegan/vegetarian wants/needs. Try the chocolate cake!4/25/2013 12:00:00 AMThe food was outstanding! The food was outstanding! The house-made sourdough bread is marvelous- chewy, fragrant. We tried the cheese sampler, which was nicely presented and delicious. I had a fennel-and-orange-and-garbanzo salad that was nice- the dressing was a little light on flavor, though. Entrees were great too- we had a roasted chicken breast, and I had the stuffed squash blossoms, which were amazing. Service was a bit slow, particularly after we had our entrees - took awhile to get the dessert menu -but all in all, great food and a terrific menu.4/5/2013 12:00:00 AMChef/Owner Roberto has anChef/Owner Roberto has an excellent menu that changes with the seasons and with the freshest products that are available from local farmers. The menu is always "Farm to Table". The Goat Cheese Stuffed Squash Blossoms are always a winner this time of year (March). This restaurant is a must when heirloom tomatoes are on the menu. As I have said before in my past reviews, Chef Roberto is an asset to the Redlands Communtiy as he constantly supports local charities and constantly gives back in thanks to the customers that frequent his restaurant.3/23/2013 12:00:00 AMFoodie FriendlyIt's not always easy for me to eat out due to my many food allergies. And since I came in with a large group, I appreciated the wide variety of options, ranging from several types of meat, poultry and seafood to vegan. I also appreciate that ingredients are predominantly local and/or organic and/or homemade. The food was beautifully plated and extremely tasty!3/15/2013 12:00:00 AMMore expensive then $$ BUT WORTH ITMuch more expensive then the $$ that Open Table gives it at $30. and under. BUT WORTH EVERY PENNY ! More like a San Luis Obispo or College town Bistro. The menu was eclectic and very wide ranged. Wait staff was knowledgeable and attentive. Interior design must have been done by the owners first hand but that is not why we go out for dinner ! Very nice job and in a very quaint part of the restored downtown Redlands which is gaining popularity, as a emerging night time gem of entertainment and dining.1/5/2013 12:00:00 AM
