  • "Good food. Made online 6:30 pm reservation and was seated promptly. Service..not so great. We were a party of 4 and celebrating my husbands birthday. We found ourselves looking for the waiter quite a bit throughout the evening. The restaurant was busy, but did not seem in lack of sufficient help to expedite service. We were sat in the enclosed, heated patio. At first, I was concerned it would be drafty, but this was not an issue. The patio proved to be a better choice to sit than the main dining area due to the noise level. It was so loud in the main dining room. Great for parties, if you want to be by the bar or near all the goings on. The covered patio was perfect for being able to enjoy a pleasant conversation. Overall, I will revisit."

  • "First, the host did not check us into the system which caused opentable to believe that i did not honor the reservation. My wife and I started with the calamari. The portion was huge, however, the squid was a little cold and soggy. It was simply not fried enough. My wife then ordered the halibut, which is on the regular menu, but she was told they didnt have it. They substituted some other non-descript white fish. I ordered the pasta special. The entrees were actually quite good, which is the only reason I recommend Farballa. The dessert, bluberry tart, like the calamari, was cold and soggy. I think the kitchen is simply too busy to turn out consistent fare. If you are in the area, give it a try, but dont go out of your way!"

  • "I visited the restaurant with my aging parents last week, and from the get go, you could foresee a bad dining experience....I asked the waiter for a glass of water for my dad to take his blood pressure medicine the waiter did not acknowledge at all. I had to ask repeatedly....we ordered salad, ravioli, and pasta...the food was ok at best but what shocked me the most was when asked for the bill, the waited 'tossed' the check to me and did it AGAIN when returning my changes. My dad is 84 years old and walked fairly slow and there was NO staff in the restaurant who offer assistance in anyway, not even opening the door. All in all, it was a huge mistake picking this venue, service is by far the worst I ever experienced."

  • "Our first time here, and an excellent time was had by our party of four. Highly recommend the Tricolore and Timballino Di Carciofi salads, and the Capelleni Checca and Fusilli Carciofi pastas. My only criticism was more light needed on the enclosed patio. I saw several people using their iPhones to light the menus, as did we."

  • "The food is incredible here! Everything was scrumptious from my Carpaccio to my plate-licking Pumpkin Ravioli w/Walnut Cream Sauce and even though it wasn't on their dessert menu, they even made me a delectable Afogotto to die for!! This dining experience was all I had hoped for and beyond!!"

  • "With our reservation we were seated immediately which was great. Good choice of wines, very nice patio dining area. Inside was loud but no overly so. Nice decor, The food was ok, but the salmon farfalle had very little salmon and the crab risotto had almost NO crab. Plus, we were charged for an adult crab risotto even though it was obvious the seven year-old would only need a child's portion. We didn't consider it a wasted dining experience but it's not on our list of places to return. Too many other options to explore."

  • "I met friends for lunch at Farfalla Westlake. My friends have 4 young children & the Farfalla staff were helpful, cooperative, thoughtful & unfazed by the kids. My one complaint was that the restaurant apparently hadn't received their full ice cream/gelato order that day, so desert was a bit limited, but it WAS delicious. The food was lovely. I've eaten at the Hollywood Farfalla before so expected a good meal & was not disappointed. They did not open that day until noon, but there were plenty of patio tables & chairs to sit at while I waited for my friends."

  • "We had a 7:30 reservation and came in about 7:16. The hostess was by rude and acted like having a online reservation was not a priority for seating. She told us it was only 7:10. (Wrong time according to my I-phone) and told us we would have to wait until 7:30. That was fine,but it was the manor in which she spoke. At 7:30 she tried to seat us in a tiny table for two when I had requested a booth on my reservation. This table was right next to kitchen and not acceptable. There were booths available but she stated those were being saved for parties of four. Overall this place is way to crowed and loud! After being treated this way we will never return. Don't have a bad attitude for your paying customers!"

  • "One would think that going out to eat on New Year's Eve would be the same old story - expensive and poor service. At Farfalla quite the opposite was true as the food was excellent and the service was outstanding with a moderate price compared to other options available in the area. I had the Cioppino which was in the top 2 or 3 that I have had - including about 40 different restaurants from San Francisco and the Wharf to Chicgo and Rome, Italy. The wait staff was very attentive and very knowledgeable about their menu and their wine list. It is tucked away in the Promenage Shopping Center but certanly worth the effort to find and enjoy."

  • "I would consider myself a regular at Farfalla. The Tuscan tomato soup is amazing. If you like chunky tomatoes, croutons, onions and basil, this is the soup for you. The pastas always arrive warm, al dente and well coated but not over sauced. Oh, and I can't forget about the pizzas. The crust is never soggy and the toppings really shine through. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a cut above the mainstream Italian chains. This is not a Macaroni Grill or Olive Garden."

  • "Some of the bread pieces in the complimentary bread basket were stale, pizza was very soggy and oily, and tagliatelle dish was extremely oily and tasteless. Bolognese and tiramisu were good. Quality and taste of food do not justify the high prices."

  • "This was to celebrate the holidays with the office staff. A couple of us in the group were LOUD which turned off some of the other guests. I felt sorry for our waiter as he was the one faced with having to apologize for our loudness. We probably won't have such a party there again due to this. Not the restaurant's fault but as a noisy group we will need to find more private space the next time. The food was delicious and the service superb!"

  • "Outstanding food with more than ample portions, maybe it was due to the holiday season, but it was extremely noisy with very vocal groups. The wine list is good and the corkage is $20. The grilled romaine salad and the oso buco are excellent as is the lobster ravioli. Definitely a place to go back to after the holiday season to see if it is any quieter."

They didn't have a kid menu so they offered to split any plates which was awesome and worked. We had a great server who was on point. As soon as we asked for anything, he did it!   • "The waiting for a table was 40 minutes with a reservation (!!!). They shouldn't accept that many reservations if they cannot accomodate!!! The waiting for the food was another 40 minutes after being seated. Other tables got their food, finished eating and leaved; and we were still waiting! We had to ask a busboy to get the waiter to bring our check. The waiting for the check was an additional 20 minutes, while our waiter was goofing around and completely ignoring us. The only pleasant thing about our dinner was actually the quality of food. It was delicious! 5 stars for the kitchen staff, 0 stars for the service!"

  • "Had a 7:00 reservation but because of a back up we weren't seated until 7:20. The waiting area inside is very limited and became almost unbearable when all the 7:00 and 7:15 reservations checked in. My husband was close to the host desk and heard that a 7:15 reservation was being seated. If he hadn't spoken up, we would probably still be waiting. No one gave a reason for the back up but the staff was very apologetic. This has never happened before and we will return but it still ruined our evening."

  • "If you go on a Friday night, make reservations! The place was packed! There were lots of walk-ins trying to get a table. The noise level was high near the bar but we sat on the outdoor patio which was more moderate & intimate. The server seemed a lil overwhelmed & covering too many tables at one time. We ordered calamari to start & it was brought out not long after…the food is really good & Im sure if you visit during a slower time service will be great."

  • "The service was absolutely horrible. We wanted to order drinks, he took one order and walked away. When he came back, finally, he took one more drink order and started got walk away. We all finally got to order however be tried to walk away in between each one. We had to ask for bread, it was never brought to us. Our kids food was brought out last and basically we were ignored. The food was good but would t go back any time soon"
