We came with 12 people and needed a bigger table. The waiters accommodated us well. Service was right on--quick, attentive, eager. Food was excellent; with that size group. several different entrees were tasted, and everyone enjoyed them.

Pizza had so much cheese you couldnt cut it with a knife, and made it impossible to pick up. Bread and crust was very bland. Arugala salad was so tough...was more like dandelein. Have they considered "baby" arugual for a more tender salad. All in all...not imnpressed.

My first thought when someone suggested meeting there because it was close to their office: is it still there? This long-time Washington institution now attracts mostly tourists/families, but I was pleasantly surprised that my pasta dish was delicious.

Food was decent yet many of our dishes were lukewarm upon serving. Table service was very poor and indicates a lack of training. Overall was a bit disappointed due to some minor missteps and lack of attention on minor details.

We selected Luigi's simply out of convenience, to host a large group (14) at lunch. They made available the second floor. The waiter was pleasant and much better than most I've had at Luigi's. He served us as well as three other tables throughout lunch and was attentive and responsive, although we did prompt him for refills on our beverages. We pre-ordered pizzas before arriving to whet people's appetites given the reputation Luigi's has for slow service. In our case, people's main courses arrived reasonably quickly, which differs from others' reviews. Food was okay; nothing spectacular.
