A word from Faith & Flower - Coastal Luxury Mgmt
Faith & Flower is a contemporary Los Angeles restaurant located in the WaterMarke Tower in DTLA’s South Park district. The restaurant’s name pays homage to the two major renaissance periods—the 1920s and modern day—that have fundamentally shaped the Downtown Los Angeles community, with “Flower” referring to the street on which the restaurant lies today, and “Faith” for the street’s alleged name during the early 1920s.

Executive Chef Michael Hung, formerly of San Francisco’s Michelin-starred La Folie, will oversee all culinary operations. Michael Lay (Restaurant 1833, Rose.Rabbit.Lie.) helms the bar program as Lead Mixologist, and Ben Spungin (Bernardus Lodge) serves as Executive Pastry Chef.

The best awesome restaurant we have been to and we are restaurant owners. The staff, general manager and wine director treated us like royality. This a a restaurant that should NOT be missed. The food, ambiance, service was 5 stars and Faith and Flower has only been open for 7 months. We are coming back soon.

Faith and Flower is absolutely one of my favorite restaurants in the downtown area. The food, the service and the ambiance are perfect. We ordered a number of items off the menu to share and we loved every single thing. The mushroom pizza was amazing.

Good food, beautiful restaurant, valet on the alley which is key in that area. A tad loud. Want to sit in the front room if possible, better view of everything. Fishes and ceviche were great and I'm not a fish person.

The ambiance of Faith and Flower is very nice. I went there expecting the food to be great but each dish was either lacking something or overly complicated. The oxtail agnolotti with bone marrow sauce had good al dente texture with tender oxtail filling. However, the sauce had a slight sour flavor component that wasn't necessary to me. The crab toast was my favorite thing on the menu. We also had the broccolini which was good but frustratingly difficult to cut with the knife provided in the setting. I eventually had to ask for a sharper (steak knife) to continue eating the broccolini. The carnitas pizza sounded amazing but the finished product was just OK. The globs of ricotta cheese didn't mesh well with the pickled jalapeno carrots and carnitas and the chile verde, creme fraiche, and liquid from the carrots made for a soggy pizza which otherwise was a nicely made pizza dough. I would consider going back one more time to order all different dishes. Overall I had a nice evening and the service is great. I just wish the food was better!

food was amazing... service was terrible. while I appreciate a long meal to relax and chat with friends the experience was poor as our food came out too sporadically. We ordered many small plates and it was 29 mins minimum between each dish. That said the food tasted phenomenal and everyone was very nice it just took forever to be the food out.

This is the second restaurant to try this great location at 9th and Flower. Much about Faith & Flower looks promising. We tried it for lunch and loved the calamari in a gazpacho sauce as well as an interesting fennel-citrus salad. Somewhat disappointing was the pork sandwich. The pork was delicious, as was the bun (with pickled jalapenos & onions, lettuce) -- but the ratios were off. Too much bread for the amount of pork. Service was attentive and helpful with the menu. A few more substantial salads on the lunch menu would be welcome.

The food menu was not amazing. We felt that some items lacked sophistication and did not pair well with other items on the menu. It was hard to find and order a complementary whole. The Lamb dish was fantastic. The best of what we tried (and we tried over 10 different dishes). The steak was made to order and the smokey sauce was definitely a bonus. The black cod was take it or leave it (too plain). The potatoes had far too much cream... and so on. It's a good place to have good conversation. I would not go there as a food destination.

The atmosphere was amazing, we attended for a pre-bday brunch occasion. Having never been there, the food was so much fun! I had their eggs sunny side-up dish and it was delightful. Service was good, but could of been more attentive. Plates were brought out with no idea of who ordered what, or never asked if we needed additional plates so we could share. Will definitely go back when we can.

Our new fave in DTLA. An amazing experience. We started with the English Milk Punch, an incredible cocktail, and the Pio Pico, another great choice, very refreshing. We ordered Jidori eggs, NY steak tartare, kanpache ceviche, duck liver mousse tarts (twice), quail with wild rice, and carnitas pizza. Flavors were perfect. The tartare and ceviche melted in your mouth. The pizza and tarts were packed with flavor as was everything we tried. Service was excellent and our server's recommendations were perfect. Our only ding is the noise level near the Bar. We came early and sat in a back room where it was quieter. The ingredients of the cocktails and the food are top drawer and the restaurant is beautiful. We can't wait to return!!!

If you like to try new things and have a bit of an adventurous spirit when it comes to dining and drinking, Faith & Flower is a spot you should try. A lot of thought and care has gone into the decor and vibe of this place. But an equal amount of attention is happening in the kitchen and with the wait staff. A great small plate menu for sharing, some really creative and delicious cocktails and a fun atmosphere that will challenge your senses without intimidating you or coming off as snobby. It's pricey, but a great spot for a special night out.

Went for my husband's birthday dinner with his parents, who are more accustomed to steakhouse-style venues for celebrations. F&F has unique shared dishes that were outstanding! Our server steered us strong with several recommendations that did not disappoint. My in-laws commented how much they enjoyed both the ambience, the food, and the "different experience" that made for a wonderful evening. We will be back for sure!

Going on Halloween was not the best way to experience this fine establishment. so noisy, and so dimly lit, it was a challenge. Also, trying to u der stand the menu, small plates and some regular, not well organized menu...but, when we finally decided on our food, what was brought was wonderful! So, another time to experience the restaurant will be in order.

The milk punch here, named the best cocktail in the country by Esquire, does not disappoint. It is a luscious melange of fruit, nutmeg, and soft rum that is probably the best thing you will ever drink. Sadly, the food here is very mediocre. It seems designed to appeal to people who like bland food, and dumbed down versions of good dishes (like the Chinese lamb with cumin and wheat noodles), while some dishes are just awful (like the duck liver mousse tarts, which taste only of burnt pastry dough). Service was ok, but kind of lacking, not terrible though. All in all, the space is elegant, and its not too loud. This could be the perfect place to come get drinks with a friend, or two, but you would be better off going somewhere else for food.

I heard about the restaurant from a friend who works at Esquire magazine. "A must-try," she raved. Then, of course, it ended up winning best restaurant in the mag! I expected it to be impossible to get a ressie--in NYC it take months to get into an award-winning restaurant--but at F&F, easy peasy! The food was superb, our waiter super helpful, and the decor inspired. I'll be recommending it to all of friends, both here and back home.

It was a wonderful experience. This was a first time dining experience for me along with my client. We met here for a lunch meeting. We both really enjoyed the food and service. The Pre-fixed menu was awesome. It was a bit busy and our waiter was pretty busy to greet us, but the floor manager jumped right in and began service. He was just lovely and made the whole experience wonderful. We will definitely be coming back here again, looking forward to trying dinner service.

I have been looking forward to eating here and saw that it had been deemed as one of the best new restaurants in the nation by Esquire but I was pretty disappointed. They were under-staffed and our server seemed flustered. He took forever to take our orders and bring us our drinks. He also made me feel awkward when I made a food request and he replied, "I can't do it because the chef will scream at me." I thought that was very unprofessional to say; although, once the business died down, he was more attentive to our table. I was not impressed by the food at all, except for the oxtail agnolotti. Everything else was mediocre, including the desserts. From now on, I will sit at the bar only to enjoy their exceptional English Milk Punch.

There's no doubt this restaurant is gorgeous. It's literally stunning both during the day and at night. However the food isn't good. Maybe better to come for drinks and dessert? We ordered a bunch of stuff and only liked two items. Items we liked and would order again: shrimp and grits toast and apple miso crumble. Items we weren't a fan of and would not order again: crab toast, oxtail angioleti, mushroom pizza, broccolini, cod. The steak (very fatty), smashed potatoes and some hazelnut dessert were decent but not worth visiting for. Overall the food wasdisappointing and the flavors didn't meld well. Butthat apple miso crumble was delicious so I may go back for dessert and drinks.

I felt excited to eat at Faith&Flower last week with two compatriots. But even more excited to drink, as I heard numerous positive bar program reviews. We got our plates as the kitchen put them up, leading to a somewhat disjointed dining experience. And while the deviled eggs were a table-wide hit, the rest of the food faded from memory just as quickly as it was whisked from our table. In fact, the servers seemed obsessed with taking dishes out from under your nose - whether you acquiesced or not. Our servers also liked to drop food and drinks at our table, then take it away after realizing that they'd made a mistake. Something was clearly wrong at the back of house. But the drinks were delicious. Especially the shaken Dutch
