A word from Faith & Flower - Coastal Luxury Mgmt
Faith & Flower is a contemporary Los Angeles restaurant located in the WaterMarke Tower in DTLA’s South Park district. The restaurant’s name pays homage to the two major renaissance periods—the 1920s and modern day—that have fundamentally shaped the Downtown Los Angeles community, with “Flower” referring to the street on which the restaurant lies today, and “Faith” for the street’s alleged name during the early 1920s.

Executive Chef Michael Hung, formerly of San Francisco’s Michelin-starred La Folie, will oversee all culinary operations. Michael Lay (Restaurant 1833, Rose.Rabbit.Lie.) helms the bar program as Lead Mixologist, and Ben Spungin (Bernardus Lodge) serves as Executive Pastry Chef.

Our sever Benjamin was fantastic. The ambiance was great bit one thing really put a damper on an otherwise lovely evening, the music. 80's blaring. Not the most suitable for the absolute gorgeous an and sophisticated design. I kept being thrown off by the 80's hits and the screens showing sports, confusing. I wanted a romantic and elegant night. We made the best of it. The staff was wonderful and hospitable. The food had its moments.

I've been here several times in the past month for lunch and happy hour. It's my new preferred location for business lunches and after hours meet ups. The decor is femme meets power lunch. Service from the moment you enter the door and when you leave is friendly and well-paced. Ordered and enjoyed the potato salad, duck liver mousse tarts, deviled eggs, agnolotti, spaghetti, roasted chicken, rock shrimp roll, steak tartare, broccolini, and OYSTERS. Salads, pastas and entrees are just the right size to allow room for the charming desserts.

After reading such positive reviews I was very excited to dine here on Saturday with my wife. The design is very cool and the energy was upbeat, but not too loud. The server was lovely, but she was inconsistent and slow. She took our drink order twice (forgot that she had already taken it) and then it still took almost 20 minutes to bring us two glasses of wine. The food was OK, not great. The presentation was nice on some of the dishes, and below average on others. (i.e. the squash salad looked like it was all thrown on the plate.) Most importantly, there was no order to how they brought the food out to the table. And too much was thrown at us at once; not allowing us to really enjoy the meal at a reasonable pace.

Faith and Flower offers a unique menu with well prepared dishes - the service however, was very slow the night we went out for dinner and it became somewhat of a waiting game for each course. Although the server brought a couple glasses of wine on the house, we left feeling that the restuarant and kitchen staff were not ready for prime time.

The food is wonderful. Everything we ordered was delicious. The restaurant is very noisy in the front but less so and much nicer in the back. My only complaint would be the noise level in the front of the restaurant and the fact that women diners seem to be given the least desirable tables backing up to the noisy bar. To the restaurants credit a manager did immediately move us when we asked and our evening was much the better for it. The carnitas pizza is out of this world.

we were a group of 4 which included a chef and a sommelier. food was interesting. my favorite was the bacon wrapped pork tenderloin, just enough bacon and juicy pork. servings are small compared to american portions but if you order 5 plates, it's sufficient for 4. desserts (3) were really great. even the chef commented that the pastry chef was excellent. the bottle of wine we ordered showed up almost at the END of our meai but before the desserts. not sure what happened, but that was very weird. even after asking about the status of it several times, the server did not seem to be in any rush or concern to address the delay. no status update or reason for the delay was given. will return for maybe cafe and dessert ONLY, not for sit down.

Location - good, if you go on a weekday you could easily find street parking. Food- very good. The NY steak tartar, oyster, and Oxtail are very highly recommended. We also had the crab toast, ceviche, duck liver, potatoes, peas, and carnitas pizza. Everything was tasty. Service - good , until our waiter did the wrong math on the check and gave us a hard time. Drinks - Had the Harry Winston, tasty but light. I wouldn't immediately rush back, but would highly recommend it for first timers. I go back to try brunch soon.

My friends and I celebrated my early birthday dinner at Faith and Flower on a Sunday night. My favorite thing about the restaurant is its look, very modern with a touch of classic. The food was delicious, great twist on the korean fusion. The waiter informed us that the dishes were meant to be almost family style and that 2 to 3 dishes per person would be ideal. We ordered 8 dishes total and thought the portions were small for a "shared" dish and was left not fully satisfied. The dishes did not arrive all at once so there were a lot of moments where we were left waiting. We were warned about it but didn't think that we should have waited 15 minutes in between the dishes. The pricing was pretty great and overall we had a good time.

Loved the location and ambience but only half of our dishes were really tasty. We went for brunch and would highly recommend the waffles, twice loaded potatoes and drinks. The salads were a little less desirable and the egg dishes were just so-so especially when its not a full entree.

Has a business dinner with 5 guests - the bar is small but nice and drinks were a good pour from a list of 'bespoke' drinks made my a mixologist (hipster bartender). We were sat at one table and asked to move due to light glaring off of the mirrors and were resettled without question. Had the deviled eggs and crab toast - both delicious - and the egg noodle pasta and cod. Also both delicious and well prepared. Sides of green peas and potatoes - both seasoned just right. Waitstaff was friendly and fun and the somolloer knew his stuff. Interior is clever in use of materials. A great place to go out before a special night downtown. Only bummer was that other patrons were wearing shorts and tshirts, but that's LA!

If I could give F&F more stars, I would! Excellent service... went to celebrate a birthday, which was acknowledged by the hostess immediately with wishes for my partner. Word was passed to the server who also made her feel very special:) The food was absolutely amazing~ we ordered several dishes to share (which I recommend), and enjoyed every last bite. Cocktails were also creative and delicious, as was the desert! It's a beautiful dining experience in the heart of DTLA. Do not miss out!

Faith and Flower was billed as one of the most beautiful restaurants downtown and it lived up t o the billing. However, a few reviewers dinged it for the service and the food ratings were decent albeit not great. We found the service outstanding and even had the receptionist start a personal file on us stating our particular seating preferences. The waitress was prompt, listened well, and provided subtle recommendations which were spot on.

we did a "let's share" meal totally comprised of appetizers; fabulous idea because it allows for more fun food tastings. The food profiles are really fresh and inventive. Their Ceviche was unbelievably good. So were the deviled eggs. wow. And the apricot tart (do not miss this). Even better was the staff. Really fun and engaging (even the hostess - kudos - most restaurants miss on that position); very attentive; really great experience and I try new restaurants a lot

Came here with friends for DineLA Restaurant Week, so this review is based off that menu. For the first course, the shrimp and grits toast and summer squash salad were delicious. The second course was a little disappointing. The trout was overly salted. No flavor but salt. The skirt steak had good flavor but was a little chewy. However, the BLT pizza was very tasty! The peaches and cream dessert was very good. The bar scene was lively, and I had a stormy phosphate cocktail there before dinner. Recommended. The decor was fantastic and made the evening feel like a nice, special occasion. The music was a bit off though... I think it was a weird mix of pop songs from 80's, 90's 00's. I'd go back.

Fabulous! Service was great! We made the last reservation on Sunday within 45 minutes beforehand online and received a polite voicemail message letting us know of the kitchen's schedule so we wouldn't be surprised. The hostess was beautiful, friendly and Not snooty - what an exception! The waiter with the purple bow tie described the oxtail pasta dish so enticingly well that we ordered it, along with splitting the DineLA lunch menu. It was my favorite thing!!! I would come back for that, the deviled eggs and the lemongrass pot de creme. The braised bacon was a little too smoky and heavy handed for my delicate taste buds but my bf loved it. So it didn't go to waste... the house Bloody Mary was lovely in presentation but too salty in taste.
