Diner Reviews
  • "their website made it seem like it was all 'farm to table'-very misleading. this was a bar with a few tables in it, with not much in the way of menu selection. the things on the menu were greasy and fatty and yuck. do not spend your money here! wayyyy too loud, could not hear each other at all. awful."

  • "Judging from the outside my wife and I were disappointed in the build out which did not look any different than the old Riordans. They should concentrate on pub grub ...ok burger (fried not grilled) you basically cannot get away from the fact you are sitting in a Bar"

  • "Factors Row had the best Crab cakes we have gotten in a long time."

  • "Tables seem to be oversold. Did not honor reservation until 10 min late. No waiting area for guests on hold."

  • "We were looking for a nice romantic dinner, but Factors Row may be better if you are more in to the bar scene. Food was just OK."

  • "Factor's Row moved into a building that has been empty for years and did a wonderful job with the renovations. I was excited by their menu -rustic bistro/ farm to table style food. However I've been twice (one for happy hour at the bar, once for dinner), and both times I was disappointed. On both occasions we received food for before cocktails. The cocktails are fine, but not made well enough to take 20 minutes. Everything on the menu sounded great, the fries and bistro steak were good. The pork belly, naan, mac&cheese weren't worth the calories. The music is beyond annoying - old overplayed radio hits. With dirty dishes and empty glasses we watched a manager stand idle. Wanted to like it, but won't be back. Try Level on West. St instead."

  • "What a great remodel job. A little drafty. Food nothing special. Wanna try the crab claw Mac and cheese next time. Oh and the frid chick peas too."

  • "We had a reservation for 6 p.m. First, we got seated at a table cramped in such a tight space that it has to be angled. On top of that, one seat is right next to a closet that the employees access every now and then. We were told that the restaurant was booked solid. But other couples who came a little later got seated at roomier 4-person tables. Second, the restaurant was loud. We literally had to yell at each other. Third, the restaurant week menu had flourless chocolate cake. We placed our orders for appetizer, entree, and dessert at the same time. We were informed that they were out of flourless chocolate cake already. The oyster dishes were very good, but the shrimp and grits was bland."

  • "Great service, and food was good but it was way too noisy because of a large party with unruly children. Very unfortunate. Also given it was restaurant week, surprised they ran out of flourless chocolate cake."

  • "We went there for lunch during Restaurant Week. Was curious to try the Duck fat Popcorn. It was ok but a little burnt. My partner ordered the salad and chicken sandwich. The sandwich was good but the salad weak, just lettuce and a few tomatoes. I had soup and chicken sandwich. Both were good."

  • "The service and food was outstanding. They had a superb menu for Annapolis' Restaurant Week. The ambiance was great, the servers were very professional and helpful. This place is managed really well. I will be back."

  • "Extremely slow service even on a Wednesday night. Under seasoned food. Table next to us left because they never got waited on after a half hour."

  • "I made a reservation for 6:30 but when we arrived we weren't even sure if they were open yet, it was so empty. It was a little weird to sit down in a really empty place but bow I know to wait for a later reservation. They space is beautiful and very upscale and the service was great. The food was good but not outstanding, the fries and flour less chocolate cake were amazing but the main items (sauce on the burger, steak, bone marrow) were a little lacking in flavor. I would love to come back to try some other items and work my way down the cocktail list. They have some very unique and tasty drinks. I tried one with gin, champagne, and cranberry that was incredible. It wasn't a great first go but I would absolutely try it again."

  • "Factor's Row is a new farm to table restaurant downtown. Great to support this effort. Food was fresh, service was very good and friendly. Truffle/Parm Popcorn is a must to try. Some items were very good while others I expected a little more flavor. A overall very good experience and will go back again."

  • "I went in for my first time on Valentines Day. I wasn't very busy, but the place looked very nice. I liked the environment its a nice balance between bar and restaurant but we sat there for 15 minutes and no one even asked if we wanted drinks. The menu was limited to a choice of 4 - 4 course meals and after we read through them we just left because I had no idea what it was and there was no discription. Maybe I'll give the place another try with a normal menu but it was not busy enough to wait 15 minutes for even a glass of water."

  • "Every employee we encountered was very friendly an we could not have asked for a better waiter! He was attentive and everything was timed perfectly. Excellent, friendly service. We sat upstairs and the view was great. Loved the choice of wines and beer on tap. The food was good and we would gladly return."

  • "Food was average. We went on a Saturday night at prime time and they were already out of a few items on their menu. The menu did not fully describe the items. Very inflexible for substitutes. Cocktails were excellent but food average. Our waitress was very nice but also the bartender. Service was slow and she was very busy. I"m not rushing back!"

  • "This was the best deal of the night in downtown Annapolis, and apparently we weren't the only ones who felt that way. All the tables were full and the staff handled the table rotations and food beautifully. The pacing was great, nothing was delayed, and the food was delicious."

  • "This was our third trip to Factor's Rows. The previous trips has been for lunch. The service is slow, each time it has been a different server and each time we have felt the server had a lack of interest in us. The food was adequate but we were appalled that we were to use the same fork for all four courses including dessert after having eaten steak and lobster with the fork. We had to ask for steak knives to cut the "tender" steak. It took two requests to get a glass of water. This was our Valentine's Day special dinner for each other and we walked away knowing the we will never go back. We do not recommend this establishment for any activity!"

  • "Might be unfair to judge a farm to table restaurant for brunch in the winter. Potato crab soup had little flavor, and we have had much better wedge salads at other restaurants in Baltimore (Regi's, The Point, One-Eyed Mike). Tabrizi and Porter's in Baltiimore have much more flavourable lamb burgers, but this one was pretty good. My son and his girlfirend had dinner at restaurant a month earlier and gave it high marks, which is why we went there."

  • "The food was fantastic but we never got a chance to request additional glasses of wine/beer; the server was more interested in hanging out with her coworkers. The food was local/sustainable and thoroughly enjoyable. Portions were extremely generous and of high quality -- best fried chicken ever! The service needs work but, be patient and enjoy the food, it's great!"

  • "my fiancee and i are always looking for more up-to-date places to dine, and were happy to (finally) go into this little gem. the specialty cocktail menu at the bar was interesting and creative, and the food was very good. although we weren't there for late night, apparently the late night snack me u consists of in-house-made beef jerky and other interesting and very cool, appropriately-pricedgoodies. i can't wait to go in there when i actually have a late night to check it out further!"

  • "our waitress was not very good. The upstairs dining room has no atmosphere. They have a beautiful bar upstairs with a kitchen behind the bar that is not utilized. I recommend that you request a table downstairs. Food is above average."

  • "We made an early reservation and were seated promptly when we arrived. This restuarant is new, and its strengths seem to be appetizers (both were very good) and burgers; the other main courses were nothing special. The view and ambiance were very good, and it was clear the new owners had significantly brightened up the place from the previous establishment. The server had only three other tables but was slow thoroughout the meal. Overall, the food was reasonably priced and quality was OK, but better experiences can be had in Annapolis."

  • "Great location across from City Dock in Annapolis- noisy, but casual. Unusual menu which features local foods, nice presentation, flavor just 'ok'."

  • "I appreciated that you did not have to order off of the special price fix menu. The kitchen sent out our entrees almost directly after our appetizer but that wasn't a big deal for us. Our waiter was awesome. Very attentive without being overly so. Weird thing was that the second floor was not being used because of a special party so that they added in a few more tables downstairs. We had the awkward table right next to the door that was angled into the corner. Kinda strange and the slamming of the door got kinda annoying but I realize that it was because of New Years. Great food though! The naan was delicious for an appetizer, the coal miners pasta was great, the fries were so good too. My husband said the crab sandwich was a bit lemony."

  • "We sat a long time before being approached for a drink order; later found they were short staffed. We ordered our starters and entrees right then (rather than wait more). The timing from the kitchen was off- the entrees arrived too soon after the appetizers. The food was excellent (party of three) & well portioned, aside from the pot pie, which was too small for an entree. Despite the frigid night, the hostess had the inner door open- so every time a customer entered or left through the outer door, a blast of cold air entered the dining room. Finally, a waiter readjusted the inner door to allow it to close, much to the relief of all. The ambiance/decor is rather spartan and lots of hard surfaces add to the noise level."

  • "Having dined at Factors Rows a few times prior, I made a Christmas Eve dinner reservation. When we arrived there was an open window table but we were told it was being held for another party. We waited at the bar 25 minutes to be seated. Food was delicious - service a bit slow due to how busy the restaurant was."

  • "Factor's Row's menu includes sourcing information on most of their items, which is terrific. We have been twice, once for lunch and once for dinner. My steak/frites was wonderful, and my sister ordered the lamb burger at dinner after having the sliders for lunch on the prior visit. (The stuffed squash blossoms on that earlier visit in July were really wonderful but of course not available in December.) A number of local beers are available. We loved the brussels sprouts side and the fried garbanzo appetizer. The noise level is pretty energetic on a Saturday evening, so if you're sensitive to that, go early."

  • "The food was good, but nothing that we found spectacular. The service was alright but the GM for the night was a little over attentive which felt more of an annoyance than helpful. We kept getting the feeling that they just wanted us in and out even though we were still wanting to say for another drink."

  • "I was excited for this place as we always loved Riordans, and I'm sure that clouds my review. The atmosphere is very nice, hip blend of exposed brick historic Annapolis with warm lighting an inviting vibe. The smells of the kitchen are powerful, but good. My only complaint is it seems they are trying too hard. It is fairly expensive and fancy for what is essentially a place I would go for good bar food. I would go back for drinks or apps, but probably not make plans for a full meal. Overall though, a nice addition to downtown and nice to see the building back in use."

  • "This place just opened and I had been putting off going there because it's too overcrowded, even for being located on ego alley. The food was good but overpriced for what it was. You could do better at Ms. Shirleys up the street unfortunately. The bartender couldn't make any cocktail I wanted because there seemed to be 5 different versions of the menu going around. He was nice though. Again, this place might be worth a visit back... eventually, but they need to mature and atleast finalize a menu with better prices."

  • "My first visit to Factors Row was in August, sat downstairs and had a lovely meal with wonderful service. We came back this past weekend with a group of friends and did not have the same experience. The waitress we had did not have it together. She was slow to come back for anything, we had to seek out people to order more drinks, silverware, etc. There is a bar upstairs but seemed no bartender. The waitress ended up making the drinks and they were not very good and took a long time to receive. She forgot to put in a dessert order in the end. After all of this, at the end of the night some staff met around the bar to have conversations= unprofessional. The food ended up being good, but the service aspect really disappointed us."

  • "Such a great use / restoration of the historic building. Went for Sunday lunch / brunch. Our server was great - attentive with the refills for their bottomless mimosas and Bloody Mary's (which were quite good!), and knowledgeable about the building and area. Nice addition to the Annapolis dining scene. Looking forward to returning."
