It feels like a piece of South Beach nestled right there on Hollywood Blvd. Everything from the decor, to the service, to the food made for the perfect night. The owners even went out of their way to greet us and make my Wife and I feel welcomed. I highly recommend that you give Face the opportunity to show you what fine dining is all about. A great ambiece, superb waitstaff and amazing food. The wine list is extensive and the waiter very knowlegeable. As of the day of our first visit, my wife and I always looked on the area as a sort of a time capsule that had captured most of what we wanted to forget about the 80's. Needless to say, we were in for a BIG surprise. Not only was the service impeccable (Ask for Dominic,) the ambiance was a sample straight from Champs-Elysees. We are rather picky eaters, and even the slight smell of fish sets us off, but the flounder special and the gravelox appetizer were finger-licking good (Thank you Thierry.) Prices are moderate. The inside decor is modern, but not flashy, the welcome is warm and friendly, the staff is helpful.
Be on the lookout for innovative dishes, like the sea scallops carpaccio, the crab cake in filo pastry, the flounder in parmesan crust....Keep a sweet tooth for a Tatin...and save some time for an enlightening chat with Michel !
