Entertainment: Every Friday night from 8-10pm, you can enjoy the subtle sounds of Fabs house band "The Nathan T. Duncan Trio". For the past 2 years the NTDTrio has been accompanying our Friday night service, bringing Sherman Oaks Neighborhood together one glass of wine at a time. Large turnouts are always expected and reservations are strongly recommended.

"I ordered the vinegar chicken thinking it would be something like Tuscan chicken with a hint of vinegar flavor- how I was wrong.I could taste nothing but balsalmic vinegar, it was like drinking straight from a bottle. Horrible.I took the food pieces out of the vinegar broth on to a separate plate but still no relief. I love vinegar but it was the worse Italian meal I have ever eaten. Also, wrote on the reservation that it was my husband's birthday but they did NOTHING for the event. Booth seating was tiny and claustrophobic."

"Little disappointed with this restaurant. I was excited to find a wine bar in the valley, but the food was so overdone, and the menu was a typical and very ordinary, that I wasn't unspired to order anything past the pasta. The server was sweet, but not attentive at all. This restaurant is located south of Ventura Blvd., in a weird pocket of shops, and had no energy or buzz. Unfortunately, I would not go back again."

"A disappointment. We live in the neighborhood and have eaten at Fabs occasionally. Usually food is ok. This meal was hardly that. White bean and escarole soup was the highlight. My wife's roasted Chicken looked like the food we used to get in the cafeteria at public school: a brown unseasoned 1/4 chicken surrounded by uninteresting potatoes and oily vegetables on the side. No seasoning no garnish, the most unattractive and tasteless dish I've seen at a restaurant. My calamari and red peppers was no better. Unmarinated, with Italian dressing poured over it. Blah. We told the waitress and returned our half eaten meals. No offer of coffee or dessert to soften the blow. No reduction of the bill just a bad taste in our mouths."

"We had a reservation, but still had to wait an additional 20 minutes. The service more than made up for this! The tall, red, velvet backed booths were awesome, as they kept out noise and conversation was more private. I highly recommend the booths! It was our first time there and we each got a plate of our favorite dishes....one Chicken Parm, which had outstanding marinara sauce, but was just average. The calzones left more to desire, as other pizza places have better calzones. The linguine and clams were good, but once getting to the middle of the dish, the pasta became more like soup, and noodles were soggy. The beer and wine was outstanding, as well as the cappuccino, and pretty good cannoli's."

"Other than having to wait 15 minutes for a table when we actually had a reservation, the experience was good. (The hosting at the podium could have been more friendly and communicative since we were standing there for 15 minutes.) This is not a place to go when you want a quiet dinner - the acoustics in the room make it very noisy. Good place to pop in for a quality meal, though, and it's in my neighborhood which is a huge plus. Portion size is good and table service was just right even though it was a busy Saturday night on a holiday weekend (President's Day). I'll go back."
