  • "As this was a business lunch, I had limited time and stressed that to the server when we ordered the prix fix lunch - we ordered dessert at the on set. It took 40 minute for our starters ( they told us there was confusion in the kitchen) and we had to ask for our dessert 15 minutes after our mains cleared. At the conclusion I was handed the correct bill, but charged the wrong amount, so had to redo my payment. I was served a second bottle of sparkling water, even though I was not asked if I wanted it. Very disappointing after reading so much about this restaurant. As an Event Planner I was also evaluating the restaurant for a future group, which now will not be using it."

  • "Had a great meal at Fabbrica for Summerlicious and will definitely be back for their regular menu. Food was very good and the portions were generous for a Summerlicious menu. Service was ok - nothing great but not bad either. Wine was recommended and we really enjoyed it. Half way through our apps, a different waiter came by and asked us if we were finished which my dining partner and I found really bizarre since we had only eaten half and had our mouths full. Besides that, it was very good and worth a visit."

  • "Was there for a late lunch. Restaurant was nice and quiet, the way I prefer it. Kept it simple, just some olives and pizza. You cant really screw that up. Food & servers were great as usual. Nothing really new to say, although they did another Italian beer (Castelo) to their list. A little more on the darker side of Moretti. Again, I enjoyed the meal and I'll be back again."

  • "This was my third time going to Fabbrica. It's in the neighbourhood so i thought I would give it another try. I was disappointed yet again. We had the antipasta. it was a joke. They cut up one piece of Salami into 20 pieces to fill the plate. The pizza i had was ok. Service was ok. The waiter seemed to have a difficult time keeping up with all the tables. My husband ordered coke. Then he asked for a refill a couple of time. His coke alone cost $15. I don't think i will go to this place again. Too bad it's so close and i love Italian food."

  • "Had a reservation for lunch, excellent food and very good server. Only issue was the parking which was very difficult. Spent 20 minutes trying to find a space in the multi level parking lot. Somewhat a deterrent for a return visit."

  • "I was extremely happy with everything. If I could comment on 2 things it would be that it was extremely hot in there. I wish the ac was a bit higher. Also, my boyfriend ordered the chicken. It was wonderful, but I wish the waitress would have informed us that it does not come with a side of any kind, simply the chicken. It was exquisite, now we know to order a salad the next time we order the chicken. Thank you for making our first anniversary so memorable."

  • "The food is very good but some of the portion are small for the price especially when you have to order your side seperately. The atmosphere is relaxed but chic at the same time. Some people are very dressed up others not so much- which makes this place ineteresting and not intimidating. It is in a nice location to walk around before or after dinner. We ehar their brunch is great-we wil try this next."

  • "We dined on a Sat. evening with friends and found an energetic, happy atmosphere this time. Almost full house but not so loud that we couldn't converse. Apps were quite good, with the exception of our Insalata di Fabbrica, which was lacking in flavor. At $12 for a lot of romaine hearts, I cannot reco it. Where were the garlic anchovy and pancetta, unless the tiny brown flakes were they. Mains were uniformly good: my Ravioli di Nonna was superb, each large pillow filled with savoury meat. My companion's trout was excellent. Desserts, especially the Chocolate Torte, were nicely presented and not too sweet. Excellent coffees. Perfect. Service was competent, with waitstaff pleasant and engaged in the process. Will definitely return."

  • "The food was delicious and plentiful. We had a variety of appetizers and mains from pizza to gnocchi and steak salad. All were satisfying. One diner said if she had had the nutella gelato first, she would have that for all three courses! The gelato was good. Quiet on the Monday we lunched."

  • "My second time here. While it has an upscale vibe, it is way, way overpriced. The 2 of us had 2 appetizers, 2 mains (an average sized steak salad and very ordinary ravioli), coffee and one canoli (way too sweet). The bill with tip was $90 -- an awful lot for lunch. Waiter was pleasant but required a few reminders -- surprising since the restaurant was a long way from busy. You only give 3 choices for noise level, the highest being the eupemistic "energetic." How about "ear piercing" which is what this and so many restaurants seem to think is appropriate. Well, it isn't! I was there to eat and chat with a friend, not to disco. I will give them this, though. They actually turned it down and left it like that when I asked. "

  • "This restaurant offers very good food in the Don Mills area without going to the Yonge Street corridor. There is a variety of choices on the menu that everyone should be able to find something to meet their tastes. I had the trout which was prepared with a crispy skin and moist inside. Excellent rice pudding. Parking is also convenient. The only downside is the tables are too close together making it difficult to get in and out if you are sharing the bench seating area and you can actually join in the conversation from the table next to you even though you are not part of this group."

  • "We came for Sunday brunch and were so delighted we decided to invite friends and try lunch in a week or two. The maitre d' (Can one say 'maitresse d'?) greeted us with a smile and gave us a choice of seating: lounge or dining room. Both appeared modern and bright, and we chose the lounge with its views of Fabbrica's glassy bar and its patio. A waiter arrived in no time, and throughout our meal gave us service that was attentive but never pushy. As for brunch itself, the lemon ricotta pancakes with blueberries may be as close to heaven as mere mortals will come, even on a Sunday. "

The staff tended to an elderly couple that were in wheel chairs. They received exceptional service and were not placed in the back of the restaurant. Everyone enjoyed their food, the server was friendly and attentive, and the restaurant had an overall positive atmosphere. For dessert we shared a delicious sundae between three of us - it was huge!"

  • "Food is amazing. Without a doubt top-notch quality and well worth the $$$$$ Server constantly rushing us to order and interrupting our conversations. At the end of the dinner. We asked for split bills. One of my friends asked for change for her $20 bill, so she can put down change for tips. The server came back and gave her $5 back and kept $15 for her tips. My friend was nice enough not to ask why she did that. But as I was writing this review, I thought the server should have given the $20 change to my friend and let her decide how much she wanted to tip!"

  • "Overall, a great time. I was here for a late lunch so the restaurant was quite quiet, not a lot of people, which was fine by me! Fabbrica is nice enough to seat me at my fav table (apparently, they made a note of this...awesome)!! As usual, the food was spot on! I really have soft spot for the gnocchi here. Portion sizes are just right. Although not quite as good as The Purple Pig in Chicago, I was pleasantly surprised by the salumi assortment, very tasty and presentation was nice! Too bad they took the banana split off the menu for the time being. Not to much to say that I haven't already said. Food, service etc is always top notch! This place never lets me down, I will be back again!"

  • "The food was pretty disappointing, our steak was overcooked, and for that amount of money, it should've come with some sides. The octopus appetizer had 4 very small pieces of pretty tasteless octopus and it was served on the bed of wilted salad, that was very poorly dressed. The server in our section was so busy, ( I think they were understaffed), she kept forgetting things, and after we were seated we had to wait for a good 20 minutes for somebody to approach us. The McEwan definitely fail with this place, I think if he would pay more attention to his restaurants, instead of getting fame on TV, everyone will win."
