  • "This was a disappointing trip to F & B. Having seen the website, I had expected the place to be much better than it was. The website gives a really neat vibe, and while the restaurant design itself was cool and trendy, and the food tasted good, the food was very small in portion size and the service was sporadic. We had to wait for our waiter a lot. Our waiter disappeared for some long stretches of time -- and this meant I had to wait to have my salmon taken back to get recooked because it was very raw. It was just not worth the high cost of the food."

  • "I was hoping for some improvement since my last visit in June 2013, but alas, both the food and the service was sub-standard again in March 2014. We arrived early and while we had the restaurant to ourselves, everything was fine. Once the very smal place was filled, our waiter was nowhere to be found. On my first visit, I ordered the skate, which is a favorite dish of mine, and it was over cooked and chewy. This visit I ordered the lamb. The sever didn't ask how I wanted it prepared, so it came out very rare, after sending it back, it came out medium, which is just how I like it, but was very bland. Even with the sauce it was nearly tasteless. For $28 a plate, I expect the main dish to be, at least, satisfying. I won't return to F n B."

  • "This was our first visit to F&B. EVERYTHING was under seasoned and had no flavor, including the butter, the white bean soup, the french fries and the burger. The steak tartare was rubbery. My wife's fish was undercooked. The kitchen, rather than sending out a new piece of fish, cooked and sent back out the same piece of fish. A good restaurant would send out a fresh entree. Very good atmosphere, very lively and energetic. Not impressed at all and won't be back."

  • "After reading mixed reviews - we decided to try F&B since all 4 of us were big fans of Brasserie Le Coz- We are 4 adults in our 50's - avid travelers to France and consider ourselves to be "foodies". We felt ; the drinks were great, martinis and manhattans, the tartar was excellent and the mussels were some of the best I have ever had. My only complaints would be they ran out of Skate (a signature dish) at 7:30 - and the service was slow- and by that I mean it took the waiter awhile to come over and take our drink order, and we don't remember him checking on us during the meal. Other than that, all the food we ordered was delicious."

  • "We heard there's a new chef at F&B.We dine out at least 2 nights a week & have tried almost every notable restaurant in town, I must say, the new French chef at F&B (been on board for 6 months)is one of the BEST in town. Finally, a place where they don't over salt the food & drench it heavily with sauces. Chef skillfully brings out the great flavors of the meats & veggies with sophistication. Braised veal cheeks that I had is fork tender & so flavorful without it being too salty. My husband got the seared-to-perfection sea bass on a bed of sautéed leeks, he is still marveling about how it's the best Chilean sea bass he's had in ATL. If you didn't like the old menu, give this new one a second chance!"

  • "I made a reservation at this restaurant for Valentine's Day. I reserved it about 4 weeks out and I chose it because they did not have a restricted V-Day menu like a lot of restaurant do. Three days before Valentines Day they called to tell me they were switching to a limited menu and that it was $60 per person. It was too late for me to find another restaurant so I kept the reservation. When we got there we were seated at a high top by the bar, not the most romantic spot. It was small and very loud, plus we were sitting about a foot from the table next to us. It was a four course meal and while the food was okay it was far from great. I ended up spending with wine over $200, definitely not worth the atmosphere or food."

  • "We went here on our anniversary and I noted it in OpenTable. The waiter was helpful but not overly so. He gave us suggestions on the menu and wine list that we spot on. The restaurant was a bit loud when we arrived but the table with kids left so it was better later in the evening."

  • "Where have you been all my life? By far the best food experience I've had in a long, long time. The food was great, the service was great, the atmosphere was great. And that wasn't the most memorable part. After complimenting our server on the quality of the food, the head chef came over to our table to personally thank us. He then shared his philosophy on cooking and spent time getting to know each of us at the table. It made us all feel like VIP guests. GREAT experience. Thank you."

  • "It had been a long day and so a particularly pleasant dinner experience was much needed. Fortunately, I was not disappointed. The food was very good and across the four courses provided plenty of variety and portion size. I could do with a more mellow (and quiet) music selection more indicative of a Paris bistro than a Buckhead bar, but otherwise don't have any complaints."

They need to tune up a bit on service, but all in all a good addition to Atlanta's restaurants and we'll return for the mussels...."

  • "I had the skate wing which was fantastic. We also did a mussels sampler and next time I go back, I'll probably just do that with some bread and beer. We also sat in the back section which I tend to prefer with the high tables. The chef came by and was very warm and welcoming and gave us some great recommendations off the menu."

  • "We eat here often. Although the menu has recently changed, the food remains consistently very good. We particularly enjoy the chicken dish..it is excellent. The other night, I had the salmon and enjoyed it as well. If you like the classic moules et frites, they do an excellent job. Also the skate, a very popular dish. My only disappointment - one of my favorite desserts is off the menu: profiteroles...hoping it will be back on the menu soon! The restaurant has a nice ambience; very cozy, a wonderful neighborhood addition."

  • "Our first time experience at F and B was exceptional! Chef Gabriel Capo came to our table and said hi and prepared a special meal for my guest who is a vegetarian, which it was incredible. I had the lamb and it literally melted in my mouth. I couldn't be more pleased with the service and quality of the meal. I highly recommend F and B and I will certainly be back."

  • "My partner and I each enjoyed 2 of the pasta dishes. One had shrimp in a light tomato cream sauce with peas and taragon and the other was lobester in a lightcream tomato sauce with onions. Each had shavings of parmesan and were delicious as well as beng a nice dish for a late lunch on a cold day."

  • "No service at bar. Opted to eat at bar. Ordered wine. Bartender served us a wine we did not order. When ask for bottle he said they were out of the one we ordered. Did not inform us, just poured and served us wrong wine! No bread was brought til end of meal. Had to ask for everything. We thought food was great and too bad because the lack of service resulted in a bad experience."

  • "We have been a fan of Brasserie Le Coze in all its reincarnations, and F & B doesn't disappoint! Food is excellent, especially the Mussels Meuniere and Skate. Wonderful, moderately priced wine list - and moderately priced menu with EXCEPTIONAL food! The bar is hopping, yet the dining room is QUIET ~ a welcome change from the typical Atlanta restaurant where I have to shout at the top of my lungs just to speak to the person sitting next to me, and end up feeling exhausted rather than relaxed by evening's end. Thank you, F & B!!! Great place to go for neighborhood week-day meal, Saturday date night, or special occasion. We are returning in a few weeks with our whole family (14 people) for a birthday celebration."

  • "Booked a Christmas luncheon for my staff. We were the first people literally to enter the restaurant as they opened. Another equal sized group received their food before we did. Server explained that the chef was not happy with the pasta dish and had it redone. We waited one hour and 10 min. for our food. When the food (not all of it) finally arrived, only the pasta dish was hot. The kitchen apparently left all the other food on the shelf whiile he re-cooked the pasta. On top of that two of our party of seven did not receive their meal even at this point. When they were finally served, one of their hamburgers was almost completely uncooked. Manager comped two meals and sort of appologized. Not a very good experience."

We were hoping for a romantic dinner, and I would NOT recommend this restaurant for a romantic evening out . It is much more suited for the bar scene it offers. We will not be returning ."
