Explorers ClubGreat for Mother's Day!We were able to make a reservation morning of for the holiday. They had a special brunch menu with delicious options. The flavors are well balanced and everything was amazing as always.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMSweet & Spicy! The food at the Explorer's Club is nothing short of amazing! The food we ordered had spicy, as well as sweet elements that offset the heat from the spices. Every bit of food was chock full of flavor and the PRICES WERE AMAZING! We were originally going to go for one of the pricier options (Worthington Inn, Eddie Merlots, etc.) but VERY glad we didn't. The price is too good to be true for the quality AND quantity of food provided to you at the Explorer's Club and it's much more unique than anything you could get at the other places. We will definitely be coming back again soon!5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMMOFONGO!!!One word...MOFONGO!!!!
I had read a few reviews beforehand about this burger and was very excited to try it! I was kinda hesitant to keep all the toppings on there, because I am not a huge fan of slaw. I will say this...
DO NOT REMOVE ANY OF THE TOPPINGS!!! The blend of flavors really make this burger tip-top.
The staff is quite attentive and friendly. Angie was a darling! Prices were reasonable for the quality and variety.
I believe every week they have a special menu in addition to their regular; this week was Mediterranean Week!
Definitely check this place out!5/9/2013 12:00:00 AMHungarian menu a hit!We truly enjoyed Hungarian night at the Explorers Club in May. I wasn't in the mood for breakfast/brunch. But the mofongo burrito that I had made me forget any hesitation. We will definitely be back, next time for dinner.4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMThe plantains are a must have! The plantains are a must have! Love that the specialty drinks are margaritas instead of martinis - it's a nice change of pace. Food has always been excellent and there is always something new to try with the monthly menus. Options suit everyone, from the meat eater to the vegan - that's hard to find!4/12/2013 12:00:00 AMOne of the best meals I'veOne of the best meals I've ever had. The duck pastrami was out of this world good on the Explorer's Club sandwich. My girlfriend loved her chicken & tasso penne also.4/12/2013 12:00:00 AMI'd read a number of poorI'd read a number of poor reviews, so I was prepared for an average to poor experience. As it turns out, though...the Explorers Club was amazing! I had a strawberry basil mojito, which was too sweet, but followed with an delicious meal of baked veggie rigatoni. My husband had the mac and cheese sandwich, and he was blown away. I wish we had been offered bread for the longer-that-i-expected wait, but when the food finally arrived, the wait proved worth it.4/8/2013 12:00:00 AMThis was my second time atThis was my second time at the Explorer's Club for brunch. Went on Easter Sunday and had an early reservation in order to beat the crowd. Last time the wait was long even with a reservation. This time we were seated immediately. Food, as always was outstanding. Well worth the drive from the NW side of town to the south end.3/31/2013 12:00:00 AMTwo Thumbs UpEverything from the service, food presentation, to taste was amazing and top knotch. The prices were reasonable and as a vegetarian I had plenty of great options to choose from, which is rare when we dine out.3/30/2013 12:00:00 AMEnjoyed the back room. ItEnjoyed the back room. It was a little quieter but still eclectic and friendly. Great food.3/29/2013 12:00:00 AMThis is the third time weThis is the third time we have been to Explorer's Club and we love it! It has become a favorite and we will definitely be back. Food and service are always incredible. Must try the Sweet Plantains with Salsa Yogurt Dressing and the Agave Glazed Sweet Potato Fritters with Raspberry Chipotle Jam.3/29/2013 12:00:00 AMI liked the way the menu listedI liked the way the menu listed whether the dish was vegan, gluten free, etc.3/23/2013 12:00:00 AMOur waitress was very knowledgeableOur waitress was very knowledgeable and friendly. We had reservations at 7:30, and were promptly seated upon arrival, even though the restaurant was busy. Our food was delicious, but did take a while to arrive. There was a big group seated nearby, and we figured that may have slowed down the kitchen. We will continue dining at the Explorer's Club, because overall it was a great experience!3/23/2013 12:00:00 AMGood breakfast/brunch optionMy first experience was for dinner and I thought the food was ok. My second experience (this was my 2nd time) was excellent. The breakfast/brunch menu had lots of options and my meal was delicious as was everyone's meal who was sitting at my table (there were 4 of us). One person did order scrambled eggs with cheese. Somehow, the kitchen managed to forget the cheese. She was disappointed but the eggs were still good.
Every Saturday I go to breakfast with my friends. This option will definitely be added to the list of Saturday choices.3/9/2013 12:00:00 AM
