EveleighGreat overall, weak at someI was recommended this restaurant from a friend who loved the ambiance. And was totally right - the restaurant is quite impressive, especially the main open-roof dining room on a Saturday night. Drinks were amazing too. Service was average - I found it strange that the patatas bravas we ordered were the last dish to make it to the table, but waiter did comp them. Food quality was very good, but there were 2-3 dishes that were a miss.6/8/2013 12:00:00 AMI wrote a very long reviewI wrote a very long review - however Open Table couldn't take it because it was too long. The food was fantastic - Charcuterie plate (with fry bread that was AMAZING), grilled squid, spot prawns, peas and burrata, bass wtih crispy skin, pork chop, peach crostataa nd strawberry rhubarb sorbet. The fruits and veg are all seasonal and fresh from the garden. Proteins are locally sourced as Chef has a partnership with his purveyors. Jason - our guide for the evening - was amazing in every way as is all the staff - catering to our every need. Suffice it to say that Eveleigh took us to the Cosmos!!6/7/2013 12:00:00 AMFirst time there, and we lovedFirst time there, and we loved it. Remarkable food...very good drinks and wine.....charming, knowledgable waitress....funky, fun decor. We have already recommended this restaurant to friends, and we will definitely return.6/1/2013 12:00:00 AMFun & delicious! When I saw Eveleigh's location, I was a bit skeptical, thinking it might be another over-priced Sunset Strip scene with mediocre food and spotty service... I was so wrong!! Service was amazing, the food was superb, and the place was beautiful! We did have a very loud B-list actress (still don't know who she is.... but someone told us she's an actress) sitting at the table next to us and gesticulating like crazy, but that's not the restaurant's fault. We got the crushed peas and burrata plate (looks a bit unappealing but tastes amazing!), grilled squid, and pappardelle (SO GOOD) and a couple cocktails (awesome). And the ice cream sandwich was to die for - great coffee too. Can't wait to go back!!5/31/2013 12:00:00 AMAll about delicious....Even though this spot is ideal for people watching, the food is the star at Eveleigh!!5/25/2013 12:00:00 AMMake it a point to dine at EveleighThis restaurant was recommended to me by a good friend and I'm glad I took the opportunity to try it out sooner than later. I dined with a friend visiting from out-of-town and we were very pleased with our experience. Our plates were soft shell crab, turnips, squid, and my gosh, the pork chop, which was the best cut of meat I've had in years. So very flavourful and moist. I will definitely revisit Eveleigh to try the brunch, which comes highly recommended, and other dishes.5/24/2013 12:00:00 AMDefinitely a TryGreat spot with great service, the food was not perfect but everything else was, exciting drinks as well!5/21/2013 12:00:00 AMHighly talented staffGreat to have the bartender Chris tell everything we wanted to know about making drinks. Our waiter Jake did a great job at guiding through the menu. Both the cocktails and well planned out meal made for a night of the year.5/18/2013 12:00:00 AMLOVE this place! There is nothing bad to say, the service and food is amazing! Waiters are fun, knowledgeable, and friendly, giving you just the right amount of attention. Great place to linger over a meal with drinks. Managers are down to earth, friendly....and charming!5/16/2013 12:00:00 AMheaven on Sunsetthis restaurant has the most interesting menu items, traditional dishes with slight tweaking that make them unique and delicious. we started with the avocado toast, yogurt and granola and banana bread for the whole table, and each was delicious and different. The hash was tasty and the burger divine. THe only item that was uninteresting was the salad so I wouldn't waste my time on that again. the smoothies were fabulous, all of them!!!5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMamazing!Extremely impressed with Eveleigh! Especially because I had made a note in the reservation that it was our wedding anniversary and the manager came and brought us some champagne to celebrate. So nice!! The food was amazing- can't wait to go back!!5/8/2013 12:00:00 AMWill def. go backDue to the size of our group (10) we had to get the family menu which at the beginning concerned me if we would get enough food. But I was impressed with the amount and quality of the food. I usually like to stick to the places I know for a long time and glad I gave Eveleigh a try. Will definitely go back!4/27/2013 12:00:00 AMThe food was quite good andThe food was quite good and the wait service very attentive. The problem with this restaurant is its strange and erratic rules, which greatly diminish customer satisfaction. They would not serve a virgin mary stating that they did not have the bloody mary mix available. We were there Saturday night and we ard put to believe that they would not be serving bloody marys for Sunday brunch. They also would not provide artificial sweetners for tea, apparently because artificial sweetners are not healthy. But they were serving diet coke??? Apparently, they also have not heard of stevia. The coup d'état was charging us $10 for a single piece of crostini.4/27/2013 12:00:00 AMWe loved the ambiance andWe loved the ambiance and the food. We took friends with us and they too enjoyed the entire evening. Great Find4/20/2013 12:00:00 AMA gem on Sunset Blvd!Just a wonderful meal, service was great and the food outstanding!4/5/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat!Very cool place. I loved the ambiance. Service was quick & efficient, though our server was robotic. I could tell it was well managed. Great unique food and beverage offerings. I'll be back for sure!4/2/2013 12:00:00 AMwe brought 3 young guys fromwe brought 3 young guys from Sweden and they loved it. Thank you.4/1/2013 12:00:00 AMGo for Brunch, Come Back for DinnerWe came here for Easter Brunch on Sunday and what a treat! It doesn't feel like you're in LA at all. The food felt so personally and specially prepared. My husband got the big breakfast (it was quite hearty and very rich. he couldn't finish it all!), and I had the baked eggs. Perfect portion for me and I gobbled it all up. The sausage and bacon taste like they were made right from a farm out back. The menu is seasonal and fresh and that was our favorite part - no fussy food, just right. The decor is rustic and beautiful; a very busy hotspot with so many people coming and going. The bar appears to be a very busy place! Highly recommend. We can't wait to come back for dinner.3/31/2013 12:00:00 AMAs we are Aussies visitingAs we are Aussies visiting LA we have made Eveleigh a meeting and eating place for like minded Aussie/LA dwellers.3/29/2013 12:00:00 AMDelicious, not cheap, but worth it.The specials were phenomenal. Kansa City Chop was worth the money and preparation time. All of our dishes (especially the zuchini and beets) were full of flavor and freshness. Wine and cocktails, negroni on tap, proved to be perfect pairings. The only downside was the pickled plate was EXREMELY pickled. It was far too vinegary for two out of the three in our group.3/29/2013 12:00:00 AMLove this spot! The food is amazing, the staff is on it, and the back patio is romantic fun scene. I would recommend this spot to anyone...for a special occasion or just for a weeknight dinner spot!3/24/2013 12:00:00 AMHad dinner last Saturday nightHad dinner last Saturday night with a friend. We had reservations and were seated promptly. I've been here several times -- the food is always good but in the past the service has been sketchy, mostly because there are so many ways to get a bad table. This was a special occasion, so I was careful to mention that we wanted to sit in chairs with a little space between us and our fellow diners. Anyway -- Eveleigh totally vindicated themselves this time. After giving us a good table, we had the misfortune of a noisy family with kids (NOT a good place for kids!) sitting next to us. We asked to be moved and they were GREAT about it even though it was a busy night. SAVED our birthday dinner. Food and service were amazing.3/23/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat food, great service,Great food, great service, great drinks, lots of eye candy for everyone. Second time for dinner, first time was in November, and both times I was very impressed with seasonal offerings on the menu.3/16/2013 12:00:00 AMFantastic all aroundSome of the best food I've had in LA, or anywhere for that matter. Accompanied by excellent & charming service. I can't wait to come back.3/16/2013 12:00:00 AMPerfect for Groups, excellent staffWe loved Eveleigh. It was the absolute perfect location for a Going Away event for one of our executives. We were seated at a beautiful large wooden table for a party of ten, and the wait staff was so attentive. They would clear dishes quickly and replenish drinks immediately. Also, along with the food being delicious and the space being so neat, the location is perfect. It's in the heart of busy West Hollywood, but tucked away on the main drag, which is nice. you feel you've escaped the crazy city for a while. If you haven't been here yet, you must definitely go. I had absolutely no complaints.3/13/2013 12:00:00 AMLove the rustic barn feel,Love the rustic barn feel, and the retractable roof in the back. Well executed dishes and drinks, cool staff (though half the time I've come they've gotten some aspect of our order wrong). A place I always take out of towners, always a hit.3/9/2013 12:00:00 AMHighly recommend this place.Highly recommend this place. Our waiter was so enthusiastic and into the food. Cool ambiance.2/17/2013 12:00:00 AMborderline loud, and crowded.borderline loud, and crowded. was given an awkward seat at the very end of a shared sofa/bench that was uncomfortable to sit on. Service was great, and food was good. I do feel it was a bit over-priced, and smaller portions (though I was quite hungry). Great location for outdoor dining (when the weather is right).1/30/2013 12:00:00 AMLove this placeThey have great selection of interesting vegetarian options! Loved the shishedo peppers and Swiss chard sides for dinner. Brunch is good as well, sandwiches were delicious. Ingredients change seasonally so every time I visit, I'm not bored.1/1/0001 4:00:00 PM
