"While the staff is very nice, unfortunately we found the the menu to be unappealing and over-priced. We don't regret trying Eva, but would not go back. There are far too many other good restaurants with more interesting and reasonable menus."

"This was our 2nd time at Eva. Our first was for dineLA. Schaner Farms organic egg & Wagyu Beef were memorable so we decided to give Eva another try. Knowing that the menu changes seasonally, we were open to changes. We started with a single live scallop, cooked on the hibachi, french butter, yuzu which was so fresh and unbelievably flavorful that we sopped up the leftover yuzu with the bread. We also ordered the lettuce from Barbara's garden, Maine lobster, spring flowers, meyer lemon which tasted as if it came straight from Barbara's garden with the freshed mixed greens I've had in my life. The Wagyu beef had morphed from the dineLA version but was equally memorable. We'll be back."

"Great wait staff and very attentive servic.We enjoyed the tasting menu with wine pairings which was delicious. However we were a little put off with being unable to read about the tastings before ordering. And I was surprised that no meat course nad no red wine was served. Overall a pleasant experience if a little pricey for portions."

"We've always enjoyed Eva - excellent food and service. This experience did not come up to their usual standard. The owner was not in the house, which often leads to either kitchen, service or both being off. While the restaurant was reasonably full, there's no excuse for not serving the starter course within 30 minutes, then mains more than 30 minutes after starters were removed. The topper was when our entrees were served 5 minutes apart. Our servers apologized profusely for the slow pace. It was clear that the kitchen was the problem. We'll still go back, but will make sure Mark is in the house!"

"This is one of the best kept "secrets" in Los Angeles. The bartender is like no other we have encountered. She can make anything from anything..innovative and great tasting. Food is terrific. Sunday brunch and dinerr (served family style) are the best value in LA. Regular menu is interesting and up-to-date and has that special touch of great combinations of food and novel "chefing." Mark and his staff always make every guest feel like the belong, and that each person visiting Eva is the most important person there. Highly recommend for any meal at any time they are open."
