It is expensive but greatness comes with a price. Service is as good as it gets and we were made to feel as if we were the only guests that mattered at this busy restaurant. Food is delicious but the portions are small which doesn'tt matter because of all the little gifts.
Highly recommended.6/13/2013 12:00:00 AMSuperb!This was our favorite meal of our 10 day trip to Montreal. We chose the $69 three course menu and it came with so many amuse bouche surprises throughout the meal that we lost count. They were all very fun and imaginative.
The Lobster cream Cappuccino was wonderful. The pan-seared foie gras, caramelized on a river stone with ice wine was served very cleverly and was very tasty.
My son had the Cornish hen cooked in hay-lined pot and the server brought the pot to the table to look at the hen before it was plated. My husband had the braised veal cheek which he loved and i had the scallops which were also very good. The service was excellent and wine selections perfect. The dessert (breakfast) was very clever.

From the moment we walked in the experience just seemed to get better and better. I think everyone should do the tasting menu, it was a culinary journey to say the least.
The wait staff was impeccable, although I did feel bad for them, it seems as though they are hovered over a lot by management, which made us feel a bit uncomfortable at times. Aside from that, their knowledge on the food and utter professionalism was great to see.

Here is a restaurant that really seems to care about the experience of their customers. Professional service, impeccable table settings, innovative cuisine and a pile of little extras that really make the customer feel special. If you are a wine lover, make sure to make use of their sommelier Roxon who is a very professional and informed young gentleman. He will steer you in the right direction. Part was due to one of the party ordering the menu de degustation, of 15 courses (all small portions but excellent). That said, we were in no hurry. Portions are well presented and flavorful; coupled with the 'amusements' delivered between courses, each of us was full but not stuffed. A cautionary note I have is the fois gras: it seemed to be a piece of goose liver, seared on one side then placed on a hot stone, covered and steamed, and then topped with ice wine. Odd texture. I confess to preferring country pate and terrines, so that may have been the problem for me. My only negative point is on the breuvages... goods but expensive, too much expensive, even for that kind of place! 8$ without tips for 1 bottle of mineral water! one once of amaretto sour for 15.50$!!! that's crazy! The wine, I don't even wanna talk about it... But, price was usual for this kind of restaurant.
good experience to live at least once or on a really special occasion. But 600$ for one supper for 2, sorry, it was too expensive for me, even if some moments was amazing... specially when we can find others very good restaurants in Montreal, north and south shores!5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMMost Amazing Dining Experience EverHad the Menu Degustation (Tasting Menu). Come hungry and allow plenty of time, this whole experience took about 3 hours. Between the menu and amuse bouches throughout courses we had about 23 tastings. I have had tasting menus in the past but nothing has ever come near this experience - this chef is a genius. Each course was presented so fantastically and nothing was what it seemed, every course was described in detail by the Maitre Di and some of the courses were finished off at the table. At $85 dollars this menu is well worth it and I would highly recommend it if you visit this restaurant. In fact everyone that was dining around us were also having the Menu Degustation.
