  • "I brought my parents here on their last day in town. We all had a great time!"

  • "At Pikes Market, we thought a pricey seafood restaurant highly recommended by our concierge was going to be the highlight of our Seattle stay. However the seafood selection was limited. the meat selection was more varied and interesting."

  • "Very enjoyable experience. Classic Seattle fare near the waterfront. Very good menu with mainly local favorites. Service very good. Excellent wine selection. A must for Seattle visitor!"

  • "Our server was very knowledgeable and impressive. The food was also very good. Our favorites were the salmon (a specialty) and the mussels dish with coconut milk. We just loved it!"

  • "My husband and I went for dinner after seeing a show at the Paramount Theater last weekend. The food and service were great - no complaints. They even found a great seat for us a little earlier than our reservation time. My issue was with the ambiance and overall "feel" of the restaurant. I know it is near Pike Place - so going to be a bit touristy, but it really caters to the tourist crowd. Our meal felt very rushed and just "busy". Felt more like I was dining in Applebees than what I expected from Tom Douglas. Think Applebees ambiance - not food quality. Our meal was really really good - I just wish we could've enjoyed it during a nicer "dining" experience. Not sure I would go back during the summer -- maybe in the off season."

  • "We will return. Great little restaurant on Seattle's water front. The service was outstanding and the food was just as good."

  • "Salmon was not as moist as other times. A little disappointed. I will still eat at Etta's. Hopefully my salmon will be moist next time."

  • "Our out of town guests were stuck in rush hour traffic and were quite late. Our server was gracious and nice about the wait to serve us. Thank you!"

  • "We had an early dinner scheduled, the service was great and the food and drink was as advertised....super. Would recommend to a friend."

  • "Tom Douglas restaurants have always been good. Etta's, however, seemed just for tourists, a short menu and not really very good. Clams were great. Salmon was mediocre and only offered with Tom's rub. Salmon doesn't need that type of treatment! This restaurant has a very short and limited menu."

  • "My friends and I met at Etta's on a Wednesday afternoon for lunch. One of our group we hadn't seen in 30 years! We had a great view out the window from our booth of all the bustling activity of the Market. The staff was wonderful -- took photos for us, attentive without being intrusive and very helpful in whittling down our choices from the many delicious sounding dishes the large menu had to offer. Our meal was delicious! The Etta's Rubbed Salmon is a must! So good! Also, the Coconut Cream Pie is wonderful -- not too sweet! All in all, we had a scrumptious lunch made even better by good company!"

  • "We really enjoyed spending time with some friends at Etta's. Our waitress was very helpful and patient, as we were coming and going all morning. So close to the Market, great place to people watch."

  • "Seriously? 750 character limit? The first review I wrote was tight at 1570. Food was good, but don't expect to get what you are paying for. Brunch with cocktails at $106 + tip needs to be magical, and for me there was no magic here, just competently prepared breakfast. Mimosa was $10 and tiny, shrimp and grits had itty-bitty shrimp, and crab Benedict contained almost no crab. Server was great. My other review was better..."

  • "Etta's never fails to delight. Service is always top notch and the menu, which changes daily is small but good. Had the salmon with their amazing rub-- fantastic and unique. Highly recommend the delicious coconut cream pie... If you're looking for a sweet spot on the edge of Pike Place Market that doesn't feel like one, try Etta's."

  • "Tom Douglas rarely disappoints but this time he did. I brought my brother and his family to Etta's for lunch and told them all about Tom Douglas's reputation in Seattle and how awesome his restaurants are. Then...the food arrived. The crab cakes were really fishy, the muscles were in a strange broth (not in a good way) and the kids "oodles of noodles" should be listed on the menu as a serving of butter with some noodles in it. I had the tuna tartare and it was good but the "wasabi pancakes" served with it were bland and greasy. To top it all off, it is very expensive. I don't mind paying for exceptional food/decor/service but this fell far, far from the mark."

  • "We had Calamari appi and the Coconut Seafood Stew and the Baja Fried Prawns. Calamari was sublime, nice seasoning with a lick and delicious dipping sauce. Seafood stew was impressive, a giant bowl of shellfish and salmon with a very tasty Coconut curry broth, "stew" is a misnomer, it is not a heavy dish. The Baja prawns (5) were very large and butterflied, very tasty. Not being huge coconut fans, we split the coconut cream pie after reading so many wonderful reviews. It was excellent, what a difference with fresh coconut versus the usual artificial varieties. Would eat everything we had again tomorrow!"

  • "We brought friends from out of town to Etta's for brunch last Sunday (07/27). Our service was good, as were our drinks. However, the quality and presentation of the food was an incredible let down. Two of us had the Bay Shrimp Roll - which was set down before us and we both had burnt buns (black on the top)!! The salad itself was bland - there was just nothing to it. The waffle chips were overcooked and too salty. One of us had Crab Eggs Benedict, the toast underneath was burnt to a crisp, eggs and hollandaise cold. The potatoes were not even worth eating. My cousin had the crab cake, she was glad she only ordered one. Brunch for $106, what a huge waste of money. I'd never return and would never recommend it."

  • "The portion sizes and food were excellent. The cocktails were delicious as well. Our waitress brought one of our guests the wrong dish which we gladly would have eaten anyway and she made it right by bringing the original dish too for no charge. The seafood was fresh and unique."

  • "My daughter's wedding was coming up, and we had a bunch of friends come into town for the occasion. I originally made a reservation for 8 and then changed it to 12. Even though 12 is a bit large for Etta's, they managed to squeeze us into one booth so that we could all eat together. The food was awesome, as always, as well as the service. We had a great time, and the next time I'm in Seattle I will hopefully go to Etta's again (for the 5th time :>) )."

  • "Great meal, as expected from a Tom Douglas restaurant. Salmon and crab salad were beautifully presented and delish! Good service when we arrived but as it got busier service slowed down. Get a window table, great people watching and view!! Desert was off the chart fantastic. Coconut cream pie & chocolate mousse cake......mmmmmmm."

  • "With the exeption of a heavy hand with the paprika in the clams, the food was quite good and the service very attentive."

  • "The food was mediocre and overpriced. We ordered the salmon and crab cakes. I would not go back."

  • "Etta's is a great place to go for good food when you are not in the mood to dress up. There is outdoor seating, a full size bar with an entertaining bartender, and top quality food by Tom Douglas. We had the salmon and halibut which were both perfectly prepared. My favorite was actually the halibut. It is conveniently located near the Market; but, dinner reservations will save you a long wait."

  • "Did everything to accommodate the seating issue of my very short elderly mother. Handled it with grace. Short wait time. Excellent food and service. Thank u."

  • "Nice, but didn't quite match my expectations. The signature salmon dish is sockeye - so not nearly as delicious as king salmon would be, although the cornbread pudding is great. Good location, good service, but food not as good as I had hoped."

  • "My husband and I were in Seattle for a get away weekend and ate at Etta's for dinner our first night. WOW - the food was excellent. We started with the spinach salad which was very good. For our main entree's my husband had the seafood stew in coconut broth - it was absolutely fantastic. It was probably one of the best things we have ever had, the stew broth was great. I had the seared tuna, it was also very good, but no comparison to the stew. For dessert we had the berry shortcake - YUM! it was so fresh, and the shortcake was very moist. The custard was a great addition. Our server was very attentive and friendly. Overall a great dinner - I would highly recommend Etta's if you are in Seattle."

  • "We really enjoyed our dining experience at Etta's Seafood. Our waitress was very friendly, engaging and informative. I have a gluten allergy and was well accommodated. We both had the salmon, and agree it was the best salmon dish we had ever tasted!"

  • "Considering the reviews I was expecting much more. The fact that my server was in an obvious rush to get us in and out didn't help."

  • "We were less than ideal customers; we were meeting friends from out of town who were running late for our reservations, we had to eat rather quickly in order to make it to a Sounders game, and the Etta's staff was wonderful. Accomodating, knowledgable, food was out quick without compromise (my rubbed salmon was delicious). Very pleased, I would definitely dine here again and would recommend it - Tom Douglas has trained his people well, in my opinion."

  • "Recently had a stop in to this restaurant for the second time for brunch. I seem to recall their brunch menu being more extensive than it was - it was actually very limited. The prices were also very high for brunch with sides being ridiculously priced (two small pieces of toast were $3 - believe me, they were very small). Not sure I'd return, particularly for brunch at $20 pp once you've had a coffee, the food just wasn't of the caliber one would expect."

  • "We had one of our best eating experiences ever at Etta's. The food was beyound what we had expected and the service was exceptional. The views that our table afforded us only added to the total enjoyment of the evening. I can not recomend this resteraunt to enough of our friends when visiting Seattle."

  • "Etta's looked great empty in the afternoon, but come dinner time, it was a screamfest. What is it these days in restaurants? At least three different people in the room were not having a conversation but yelling to one another. Also, the food was tasty but the portions could keep a skinny person wanting more. Furthermore, considering the size of the portions, it took a long time for the food to come to the table. We asked for bread just to give us the impression that we had a meal. Skip right past Etta's."

  • "the food was good, but uninspired. Salmon was tasty as was the burger, but the fries were cold and greasy when then arrived. The onion soup was starchy but favorful and the sides were just ok...the green salad, had a lot of "stuff" in it, but didn't seem to hold together flavorwise."

  • "I have dined at Ettas several times over the past several years. Not at all up to standard today. Sent the salad back because it was drenched in dressing and over peppered. The scallion pancakes with the tuna sashimi were very very greasy. A friend ordered the artichoke heart salad and found it to be far too salty. Not up to Tom Douglas standards. Service, however was excellent. He replaced the salad immediately. Offered to split the bill for us and was very charming. We tipped him well."

  • "As a lover of Serious Pies, I feel that Tom Douglas (TD) has over extended himself. On sunday, we had the Salmon with the rub. It was very good. I asked for a very simple modification on my meal. Our server got it right, but the chef didn't. It had to be returned. The meal was very good. We ordered the larger/$30. portion. With TD owning a bakery, you would think they would serve bread with each meal. They charge extra. I thought this was cheap on their part. Also, the chairs were worn out at every table, exposed bare wood. There were mainly tourists there. This restaurant needs to be updated. We ate at Cuoco, the food was terrible. We will never go back there. TD needs to focus on the restaurants he owns and get back to quality."
