Great restaurant for those looking for quality seafood in a relaxed atmostphere. Crab cakes were among the best I've ever had and would recommend them to anyone. We went for lunch and were so happy with the Clam chowder that we decided we would return for dinner. Obviously very fresh ingredients that were prepared by talented kitchen. The service was attentive and well informed and our waiter was interested to make suggestions for our meal and accompanying wine. He also recommended the other restaurants also owned by Tom Douglas. Wonderful meal and evening!

Enjoyed the salmon entree. The cornbread pudding was a bit dry this time. Unusual because it typically does not disappoint. My brother had coconut broth seafood dish and it delicious. Very attentive and gracious wait staff.

My mother and I were visiting from out of town and we decided we would try this from a recommendation that was given to us. The crab itself was delicious (she had a crab salad and I had the crab cake) but the presentation could have been better. I appreciated that the crab cake was mostly crab, not bready at all, but the shoestring fries were almost like shriveled and dry like potato chips. Mom liked her salad but it looked like a couple of tablespoons of crab was just dumped on the butter lettuce. I think next time we are in Seattle we will try a different place.

Went there almost 20 yrs ago and was very impressed. Took out of town visitors this time and we all agreed it was OK but ho-hum. Ordered oysters as we were being seated and didn't get them till after cocktails and other app. were ordered, delivered and consumed. Presentation of entrees pleasing to the eye but lacking a WOW factor in taste.

We found this restaurant to be a bit ho hum. Our friends recommended it and it was fine but not as good as they made it sound. It is in a great location, the staff was friendly and the ambiance is nice but it seems like there are better choices in Seattle.

Have enjoyed brunch here many times... Food is consistently very good, as one would expect in a Tom Douglas locale... Can't beat their French Toast! My only complaint, if it's a complaint, is that they occasionally can be so busy that the food service is slower than ideal...

Etta's never disappoints. The "Rub with Love" salmon -- coho on this visit -- is always outstanding. The triple coconut pie is the best desert in Seattle. The restaurant is down to earth and unpretentiaous with zero attitude -- yet service is superb.

After reading many reviews about resturants in the Seattle area. I wanted to end my awesome visit with my daughter in Seattle. I decided to spurge and treat ourselves to dine at Etta's. So delicious! Everything was so tasty! I had the "Rub with Love" salmon, and my daughter had the crab cakes. Super tasty. It's been a long time since I had food this good. For desert we shared their signature Triple Coconut Cream Pie topped with shaved white chocolate and Chocolate Mousse Cake vanilla mascarpone, chocolate crunch. Soo good! The wait staff was terrific, too! Go ahead and treat yourself. You'll be glad you did.

Arrived just a bit early but quickly seated. The menu is balanced and not excessively vast, which makes the decision process more manageable. To start: oysters on the half. Great choice, perhaps some of the best enjoyed is a long time! Main: rockfish which was an ideal portion to split between two. Drinks: Chinook Chard, which was very good Service: Gigi did a great job with timely service and friendly recommendations

Seafood coconut stew and crabcakes were delicious. Prices were on the high side for portion sizes. The waiter was harried and indifferent, plopping menus down on the center of the table, leaning on the wall taking orders and not engaging at all. Except for the attentive busser, service from the front door throughout the meal was lacking.

I had shrimp and grits with andouille sausage. The grits were made into crispy cakes and were perfect for soaking up the spicy sauce. Great creative food at moderate prices, a fun sidewalk cafe dining experience, a beautiful view of the Sound, and part of the vibrant Pike Place Market experience. All in all a terrific spot!

We sat outside later in the evening. Sure cannot beat the view of the bay in Seattle. Our server was great, friendly, suggested menu picks, etc. We shared the crab cakes - good, but not the best I've eaten and the seafood stew, which was absolutely wonderful. It was chock full of seafood and flavor! Disappointed they did not have scallops on the menu, but I think the wholesale price was a prohibitive factor. We would definitely return when we go to Seattle again.

i've been stopping at etta's since it's original days...but i do observe it's become someway exclusive as it's pricing and portions are less inviting. food is good but quite expensive...enough so i drop in only for special occasions. it feels more lit a tourist restaurant than a spot for locals.

Very good Sockeye salmon during season (late August), cook to perfection. A little pricey, but was worth it. Restaurant was very crowded and noise level was very high. This is understandable since it is located in a tourist area (Pike place market). Majority if not all clients are tourists. Great place for groups, not recommended if you want a romantic dinner. Service was good, but food took longer to arrive than what we are used to (over 35 minutes).

My husband and I went for dinner after seeing a show at the Paramount Theater last weekend. The food and service were great - no complaints. They even found a great seat for us a little earlier than our reservation time. My issue was with the ambiance and overall "feel" of the restaurant. I know it is near Pike Place - so going to be a bit touristy, but it really caters to the tourist crowd. Our meal felt very rushed and just "busy". Felt more like I was dining in Applebees than what I expected from Tom Douglas. Think Applebees ambiance - not food quality. Our meal was really really good - I just wish we could've enjoyed it during a nicer "dining" experience. Not sure I would go back during the summer -- maybe in the off season.

Tom Douglas restaurants have always been good. Etta's, however, seemed just for tourists, a short menu and not really very good. Clams were great. Salmon was mediocre and only offered with Tom's rub. Salmon doesn't need that type of treatment! This restaurant has a very short and limited menu.

My friends and I met at Etta's on a Wednesday afternoon for lunch. One of our group we hadn't seen in 30 years! We had a great view out the window from our booth of all the bustling activity of the Market. The staff was wonderful -- took photos for us, attentive without being intrusive and very helpful in whittling down our choices from the many delicious sounding dishes the large menu had to offer. Our meal was delicious! The Etta's Rubbed Salmon is a must! So good! Also, the Coconut Cream Pie is wonderful -- not too sweet! All in all, we had a scrumptious lunch made even better by good company!

Seriously? 750 character limit? The first review I wrote was tight at 1570. Food was good, but don't expect to get what you are paying for. Brunch with cocktails at $106 + tip needs to be magical, and for me there was no magic here, just competently prepared breakfast. Mimosa was $10 and tiny, shrimp and grits had itty-bitty shrimp, and crab Benedict contained almost no crab. Server was great. My other review was better...
