We are from out of town so were just looking for something nice, not wildly expensive, near Grand Central. The mimosas were delish and the food was plentiful (although we didn't realize that only breakfasty stuff is served until 4PM.) The food was amazing. We started with 3 spreads with warm pita chips then onto salads. It's hard to make a salad more than what it is, but the Marouli salad was wonderful. My friend had the grouper special and I had the shrimp. Every last morsel was devoured or brought home.
We sat at the bar and Jared took good care of us. It wasn't very busy but we got the sense that he sincerely enjoys working at the restaurant and cares about his guest's experience. It is a delicious, varied selection of well prepared, superbly presented dishes. The price fixe including one drink or the $6 addition for unlimited drinks, remains one of the best deals in NYC. The open double doors make everyone feel like they're at an outdoor table.
