EtchLove this place! It was my second time here. I brought my dad for fathers day and he loved it as well.6/15/2013 12:00:00 AMThe food and service remain supremeI can't brag enough about how much we love the food and the intelligent, friendly service at Etch. It continues to be the best in Nashville.6/15/2013 12:00:00 AMCreative New ExperienceFor those ready for a change, the chef at Etch has a new approach to food combinations that will excite your taste buds. This modern resturant has menu items you will not find anywhere else. It is a great place for those interested in trying something new.6/15/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat first impressionI took my husband to Etch for his birthday. I made reservations online and told them we were celebrating his birthday. Everyone wished him a happy day. Food was incredible, service amazing! It really was a great celebration. Will definitely be back!6/14/2013 12:00:00 AMChef Owned RestaurantRight in the middle of downtown Nashville! New, Modern, Atmosphere with beautiful and tasty food!
It's just 1 Block from the Country Music Museum. Reasonably priced!
Be ready for a new take on many of the foods you have eaten all your life. Loved the Catfish!
Relative to most other restaurants I have been in, it was a quiet Restaurant. We were with another couple and I remember thinking that for a modern atmosphere that it wasn't noisy!6/14/2013 12:00:00 AMCauliflower and Pork LoinDo yourself a favor and share the Cauliflower appetizier (it's huge) and then order the Pork Loin for yourself. Really unique preparation -- amazing flavors!6/13/2013 12:00:00 AMA do not missGreat new restaurant. Interesting menu and combination of flavors. Roasted cauliflower appetizer is enough to share and is a given if you go. Friend had the filet and loved. I had cobia. Cobia is a favorite and this was the best I have ever had. Service knowledgable, friendly and fun no pretension just excellent service. Presentation creative yet not that food as art where it is more about the art than the food. Been traveling a lot and this is the best meal I have had in months.6/13/2013 12:00:00 AMUnique flavor combinationsOne of the best meals we've had, ever, around the globe. Thoughtful, unique flavor combinations. The vegetarian entree was outstanding.6/13/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellent Menu and ChefBeing in the Hospitality industry - I certainly appreciate and understand exceptional service and quality food. I was entertaining a pharmaceutical company and someone from our Corporate headquarters - Chef Deb actually took the time to come speak with us. Incredible!6/12/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat flavorsThe food was absolutely delicious!! So many different flavors that harmonize beautifully!6/12/2013 12:00:00 AMVery good food and very expensive.Very good food and very expensive. Nice place to entertain visitors or business partners.6/11/2013 12:00:00 AMDeb is a genius !!The flavors, the textures !!! Deb Pacquette is a culinary genius !6/11/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellentFood was outstanding! I have already been recommending Etch to all my friends.6/10/2013 12:00:00 AMPerfect!Had a perfect evening with delicious food and a wonderful server, Kristen. We'll be back - flawless dinner!6/10/2013 12:00:00 AMbest in NashvilleAfter 35 years of living in New York City (Manhattan) the food in Nashville is.... well, it has led me to cooking more at home in search of something special. Etch is the sole exception and the best. Period.6/10/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat anniversary venueMy wife and I have long been regulars at Zola and found this first Etch wedding anniversary trip (our 29th not 1st ) to Deb's new restaurant a fantastic experience. The food was even better than we remembered. Etch may have excelled Zola which itself was the best restaurant in Nashville.6/8/2013 12:00:00 AMClassy and trendyThe staff were all very friendly and knowledgeable. We went during country music fest and it was great to get away from the mess on Broadway. Everything we ordered was delicious- only complaint is they put a lot of "stuff" on the filet mignon. When a filet is that good you do not need to drown it in sauce and butter. But they did put most of the toppings on the side for us. Sorbet was also delicious.6/8/2013 12:00:00 AMNow I no longer miss Zolas. For years my wife and I loved the dining experience at Zola's in Nashville and when they departed, we were heartbroken. But our Zola chef, staff, kitchen and menu are back - better than ever. Excellent menu with innovative flavors blended into one-of-a-kind plates that delight the taste buds. Smart presentation with friendly and knowledgeable service. Welcome back to Nashville.6/7/2013 12:00:00 AMmust goEverthing about Etch is amazing!! I went for dinner and everything I tasted was full of flavor. The service was excellent. I cannot wait to go back.6/7/2013 12:00:00 AMBest meal I've had in Nashville. There's not a lot I can add that hasn't been already covered in other reviews, but I can vouch for the fact that the food here is amazing. I don't write reviews like I'm a wannabe food critic, but I can say that the food and service were top notch. We'll definitely be back, and thanks for a great night.6/6/2013 12:00:00 AMAstoundingly goodThis is Nashville's best. Probably better than national greats like Grammercy Tavern.6/5/2013 12:00:00 AMBest Food in NashvilleThe food experience at Etch is one that makes me want to come back every chance I get. When dining here you really have to eat slowly to enjoy the different taste that you will experience in each dish. A friend ordered our appetizers the other night and it consisted of food I would have never ordered. IT WAS SPECTACULAR.
I can not wait until I can return.
Hurray for the chef. When at Zola's she was great and I think even better now.
SEE YA SOON.6/4/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellent service in cozyExcellent service in cozy atmosphere. Ambiance was upscale but inviting. Food was very good.6/3/2013 12:00:00 AMExceptional on Every LevelAs they say, it starts at the top and Deb Paquette's, (Chef/Owner) influence shines through at every level. The warm greetings from the staff, the attentive service, the wonderful menu choices, the amazing presentation, all play a role in a dining experience against which all others are measured. But, all of that pales by comparison, to the symphony of tastes and textures we experienced in our meals. We've been here a few times ourselves for both lunch and dinner. We've also brought out of town guests. The experience has been flawless every time.6/3/2013 12:00:00 AMInteresting, butfor the price, I expected more attention to detail, and to flavor blends. VERY interesting spice choices that mean the diner has to be alert for how different dishes/courses will meld into a meal. Also, portions are very large - excessively so in the case of the greens accompaniment to the scallops. They overwhelmed the plate and the rest of the dish. Duck confit appetizer is excellent, as is the roast cauliflower and pea pesto!6/3/2013 12:00:00 AMBest in classThe food at Etch is as good as you will find in Nashville. Variety, savoriness, presentation and preparation are second to none. A little on the pricey side but worth it.6/1/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat food and atmosphereI visit the Nashville area a lot for work and my fiance joined me for a trip there one day. Co-workers told me about this place and trip adviser reviews were awesome. So I booked a table for a Saturday out in downtown Nashville. This ended up being a great place worthy of New York City. The menu was a bit scary for a non-foodie like myself but I went with the pork loin and was not disappointed. I have never been one to taste texture and/or flavor layers in food and even I couldn't miss the intricacies of the food served. Fantastic.6/1/2013 12:00:00 AMONE OF THE BEST MEALS OF MY LIFEThis was...one of the best meals of my life! I have dined at many wonderful places, and this meal truly amazed me! WOW.
Started with the roasted cauliflower and the ratatouille crude, then went on to share a lot of entrees-the cobia, the scallops, and the pork chop.
WOW WOW WOW . And GREAT service! DONT MISS THIS PLACE!5/31/2013 12:00:00 AMlove it!This place is amazing. It's my favorite restaurant in Nashville and definitely worth a shot! Enjoy your experience.5/31/2013 12:00:00 AMTruly lovely eveningWhat an enjoyable evening of great food and service! Our server was so helpful in describing our entrees before and after they arrived, selecting a wine, and attention. Loved Zolas when chef Deb Paquette was there, so happy to have her back at Etch serving these exciting dishes where exotic and different ingredients come together so well without being over powering to the palette. Each dish and appetizer was fun, fresh and delicious. Is now one of our favorite places in town, will keep it as part of our regular dining choices.5/31/2013 12:00:00 AMUnique Food, Each Bite is DifferentUnique Food, Each Bite is Different. It is an adventure to eat here. A chef's chef. Expensive. For Special Occasions. Excellent wines. We thoroughly enjoyed it.5/31/2013 12:00:00 AMBonafyde EtchGreat location in new revitalized downtown. Complimentary valet service. Friendly host/hostess. Manager visibly interacting with guests. Service 1st class. The food..even better!! A definite on anyone's "Must Do" list!5/31/2013 12:00:00 AMExceeded my high expectations!!!Eclectic menu from appetizers to dessert. Well imagined, well prepared and well presented. Amazing taste and texture combinations. Regardless of your particular taste, you will find something here to satisfy. A "do not miss" dining opportunity in a city with rapidly growing dining opportunities. I will definitely be back..5/30/2013 12:00:00 AMexcellent meal & serviceThe food was superb...well presented and tastey...the Cobia was succulent...almost melted in your mouth with interesting Turkish spices.5/30/2013 12:00:00 AMIt was okThis was our second trip to Etch prior to a symphony event. Pricey. Food portions were sparse. Would go back for local events ET al.5/29/2013 12:00:00 AMFood was delicious, althoughFood was delicious, although my plate was served room temp instead of hot...5/28/2013 12:00:00 AMAmazing food! This was not as romantic as we had hoped, but the food was soooo delicious! It was a little noisy to be romantic. The wall of windows gave us a great view of the new Music City Center. Portions were pretty big for this caliber of restaurant. We each had an appetizer, entree and dessert and were uncomfortably stuffed. Prices were reasonable for the caliber of food and portion size as well. Two appetizers, two glasses of wine, two entrees, two desserts and a generous tip for well under $200.5/27/2013 12:00:00 AMWonderful! We are delighted Deb Paquette is back in Nashville. We used to frequent Zola, her prior Nashville restaurant. I tasted those familiar Zola flavors in the wonderful Cobia dish I had. Just the right amount of sweet, spice, moist, tender and crunch! Wonderful dish! I started with the roasted cauliflower, and it was out of this world. The truffled pea pesto was AMAZING.
Excellent food and truly great/friendly service. And delightfully un fru-fru. Employees were very cool and made the experience complete.
Can't wait to come back!5/25/2013 12:00:00 AMHappy to have Deb back in NashvilleDeb is one of the best chefs in the country and Nashville is lucky to have her back! The way she layers flavors and constructs her menu leaves your taste buds wanting more with every wonderful bite. The staff is very knowledgable and able to answer all questions from what wine to have with which dish and fully accommodating when it comes to food allergies. We have already planned our next dining experience at Etch and will plan many, many more!5/25/2013 12:00:00 AMgreat place for any occasionTook my wife here while on our anniversary and did not disappoint. Food was excellently prepaired and presented. We highly recommend it.5/25/2013 12:00:00 AMgreat foodThe food was wonderful. Everything we had was great. The services was everything you would ask for in an upscale restaurant, friendly, attentive, and speedy. Made our anniversary dinner special!5/24/2013 12:00:00 AMCan't Wait to Go Back!We loved this place! The atmosphere was fun, the service superb, and the food exceptional. We shared the octopus/shrimp bruschetta and the beets and berries salad to start. I will definitely get them both again - maybe as my meal so I'll have room for dessert! I had the cobia - an incredible mix of flavors, and my husband had the scallops. Both were excellent. We can't wait to go back to try other menu items. Etch is a new favorite for us!5/24/2013 12:00:00 AMNashville Favorite! This was a great find. Late Friday night and quite busy but totally under control . Great little bar provides a warm welcome and great pre-dinner cocktails. Our excellent server was prompt , offered suggestions and was attentive throughout the evening. Deb ( the Chef /Owner) has a great reputation and re-entered the Nashville scene with Etch. This crew has it all together under her direction.
Appetizers through dessert have her unique touch. Suggest sharing the terrific apps, salads were great and the entrees ( fresh fish and venison for us) were delicious. Deb makes it a point to greet customers and solicit input. You won't be disappointed here. Our favorite Nashville find...we'll be back.5/24/2013 12:00:00 AMFantastic!Four of us ate at Etch on a Friday night. Both couples had the same thing: Ladies had scallops and gents had fish (Cobia). Deb, the chef, really knows what she is doing. The combination of flavors and textures were wonderful. Our server was great - very attentive but not too much so, and knowledgeable.
Parking: Use the free valet service since parking in this area is a little tough.
Price: Fairly expensive (Entree: $19-26), but worth it!5/24/2013 12:00:00 AMDelicious! The food and wine were absolutely amazing! The appetizer & salad were beyond delicious! The dessert was decadent!staff was amazingly accommodating & very polished & outgoing. Love this place!5/23/2013 12:00:00 AMFirst but not last timeWas worried about going for lunch but found the perfect lunch spot for foodies. Loved the cauliflower. The sandwiches were unique combinations that while different - weren't weird. The food was great. Just what you would expect from DP. I will definitely go back for lunch and dinner.5/23/2013 12:00:00 AMonly oneI am a vegetarian and had the summer spaghetti squash dish. It was amazing. Wish you had more to choose from for your entrees. Maybe next time.5/23/2013 12:00:00 AMLoved etch!Best restaurant in Nashville
Ate there two nights in a row and one was better than before
Wow!,,, would have eaten there all 5 nights I was in Nashville but the people I was with wanted diversity Ugh5/22/2013 12:00:00 AMDecadentWe began at the bar with fantastic drinks that set us in a happy mood for our anniversary dinner. Our waitress was amazing--so helpful in reminding us of the tons of ingredients and layers of flavors. She told us a story about our wine selection and how the vintner had come to Nashville and how proceeds go to help animals, which made us feel even better about our delicious choice of syrah. The food was decadent. We both ordered the duck confit which is amazingly balanced between sweet and savory--the citrus bread slathered with a rich fois gras butter, blackberries, duck confit, and the shavings of candied orange peel and spicy pepper. WOW. I'll end there and just say that dinner and dessert were of the same vein.5/20/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat food! Not surprisingly, Etch lived up to our expectations. It was wonderful considering how long Zola's has been closed to have former owner/chef Deb Paquette back in a kitchen. My lamb was great; husband said his pork was the best ever. Portions were ample. Service was very good. Yeah!!5/18/2013 12:00:00 AM
