Diner Reviews
  • "In the Ninth Avenue district, teeming with choices, Etc Etc came up short. The Zagat 22 should be a 19"

  • "I really love this place. The food is high end and beautifully presented. We would come here even if we were not going to the theater which cannot be said about many of the restaurants in the area. Tuna tartare appetizer was divine! Waiters are attentive and fun."

  • "Had a great time at ETC. ETC. The food was fabulous. Homemade pasta was to die for. Ambiance was great. Heart of NYC. A happening place. Service was great. Felt well taken care of but not pushy. Staff was hopping, making sure all the guests were accommodated. Spectacular place. I highly recommend going!"

  • "I found the food to be at most, adequate. The ambiance was fair and the service fair. For the price, I would definitely go elsewhere."

  • "This lovely restaurant is wonderful for pre theater dinner, as well as for other times. Staff is accommodating; knowledgeable about food and wine. The food itself was beautifully prepared. Second time I have eaten there, and plan to certainly go again."

  • "Have been several times and never disappointed. Staff is mindful of scheduling if you have theatre tickets. Their pre-fixe generally suits many tastes. We most recently had their sea bass and sesame crusted salmon offerings, both were perfectly prepared."

  • "Service was very good. Food was very good. Atmosphere is pleasant, a bit noisy at peak times. Perfect spot for pre or post theatre dining. Will return."

  • "Place was recommended by a friend. Glad we went here! Pasta dishes were great! staff was extremely accommodating that we had to make a show and that half our party showed up late. Would definitely come back"

  • "Wonderful final meal with family from out of town. The only problem was undercooked meatballs -- We got a new plate within 10 minutes, plus a free dessert for the trouble. I love the folks at Etcetera Etcetera for being such wonderful hosts."

  • "You can't go wrong--especially after a night at the theater. Abby and her staff are friendly, engaging, but VERY professional, serving glorious food. And Ana who tends the bar--well, she is what we call a "Swell Chick" and serves a top-notch drink. This is one place that we'll go repeatedly when in the City."

  • "I have been several times To ETC ETC but I noticed right away the new options on the menu. They offered 3 home made gluten free pastas and ravioli. Usually if a restaurant offers a GF pasta, it is store bought pasta and they don't know how to cook it. I had the homemade ravioli that night and I was in heaven. I would certainly think returning again and sooner! They also had a section for vegetarian as well. It is nice to see a restaurant think about adding delicious options for their clients."

  • "I've eaten here many times and for a theatre district restaurant, it's above average. Unfortunately they seated us upstairs where it was very noisy and the decor depressing"
    Dined on 3/8/2014
  • "Food was average.... Dessert was a disaster. Service was lacking, waiter never came to check how our food was. Probably never going back again."

  • "We often go to Etcetera Etcetera before seeing a Broadway show because the food is terrific and the service even better. The friendly staff, knows how to balance fast service against the rushed feeling that other theatre district restaurants have mastered. The white bean soup was good, but a bit too salty. Salads are always well made with a variety of choices. The salmon tartar was perfect. It was seasoned to perfection and placed on a bed of fresh cucumber slices making for an eye pleasing presentation while providing a counter balancing "crunch" to the fish that just added to the sense of freshness. The seafood risotto special was really good with plenty of mussels, clams, calamari making the saffron seasoned dish a complete dinner."

  • "My husband and I love to try new restaurants when we come in to the city. Etcetera Etcetera was convenient to the theater and unlike many restaurants a 6pm reservation was available. The staff was welcoming and very attentive. I prefer a type of Chardonnay that is not on their by the glass list but one was found and opened for me to enjoy. The food was wonderful! I would recommend choosing a few of the half portions to get a real overview of the menu."

Salmon and Ravioli was wonderful, appetizers were terrific as were the desserts. I stay at this hotel exclusively in NY and I will return to this restaurant as my new local can't miss place!"

  • "This is one place in the theater district that doesn't make it seem like they need the table. They pace the meal nicely and you don't feel like they are pushing you out the door."
