Etcetera EtceteraSophisticated ContemporarySophisticated Contemporary Italian. Lovely service. We will return.6/14/2013 12:00:00 AMPre Theater GemRight in the heart of the theater district, this lovely looking cosmopolitan restaurant is worth going back to again and again. We were greeted with very knowledgeable and patient wait staff and most spoke very charmingly with a slight accent. There were so many delectable dishes on the menu, we had a hard time making our choices, but apparently chose well. Everything was delicious.6/13/2013 12:00:00 AMVery hands on, accommodating,Very hands on, accommodating, and social owner who greets everyone. Its a great mix of New Yorkers with a few out-of-towers. Wait staff is very friendly and the bartender makes a fantastic martini.6/7/2013 12:00:00 AMHave been here many times.Have been here many times. The food gets better each time. We will definitely return. They even have non gluten choices.6/7/2013 12:00:00 AMPerfect choiceWe had matinee tickets for Kinky Boots. Etcetera Etcetera got us in, got us fed with scrumptious food, and got us out with plenty of time to get settled in the theater. Couldn'r have been better.6/5/2013 12:00:00 AMSuperbA true gem in the theatre district. The menu is great, the food never disappoints, and the service on this last trip was fabulous.6/5/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat for Theatre DinnerThis was a great find. We were looking for a pre-theatre dinner, at a new locale.
Ambiance was warm and inviting, and the staff was very personable and attentive. Portions were large and tasty. The wine lint was varied, with numerous Italian and California reds. A very good find, and I will certainly go again.6/3/2013 12:00:00 AMStill GreatMy husband and I used to go to New York regularly, and to Et Cetera and its companion hotel frequently. I had not visited for several years, and I was happy to find that it is as good as ever6/1/2013 12:00:00 AMEtc. Etc. is a regular stopEtc. Etc. is a regular stop before the theatre for a delicious meal. The food is consistently very good but the service, although friendly, could be more prompt. I would recommend the restaurant for both lunch and dinner. A true neighborhood gem.5/31/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat restaurantWine is reasonably priced, the food is great, and the servers were very attentive to our needs. We've been there many times and are never disappointed.5/29/2013 12:00:00 AMPre-theaterGood Restaurant for pre-theater meal. Good food and service make this a good choice in the theater district.5/28/2013 12:00:00 AMGood food, friendly serviceSecond time we've eaten here pre theater and it won't be the last. There's a lovely brunch menu on Sundays as well as regular menu choices. I had the grilled salmon, which was moist and delicious and my friend the grilled chicken, which was not only delicious, but the portions more than ample, at reasonable prices. This is a definite winner. We were early for our reservation and lingered quite a while over coffee. No one rushed us. The service is great. Highly recommend.5/26/2013 12:00:00 AMAlways a good mealThe arugula salad in lemon dressing was so good I needed to ask the chef how to make it. My cornish hen was done perfectly, and the dessert plate of cookies had the best chocolate I've ever tasted, they should sell little bags of that sweet treat.5/25/2013 12:00:00 AMGood food, good service, goodGood food, good service, good experience.Would certainly recommend it.5/25/2013 12:00:00 AMThank you!Due to the heavy traffic, we were 45 minutes late for our 6:00 pm reservation. We did call the restaurant to let them know we would be late but they were extremely understanding and saved us a table. We had a wonderful meal and great service. We finsihed our meal without feeling rushed for our 8:00 pm theater curtain.
Thank you for a great evening and your understanding.5/24/2013 12:00:00 AMCouldn't be better!!!!!We loved our lunch at Etcetera Etcetera. We ordered the Prie Fixed luncheon and it was absolutely delicious. Good portion sizes. High quality food. Service was excellent. Perfect for pre- theater or any meal. We like it especially as it is different from the typical theater district restaurants. The décor is clean and simple and the food is prepared with a lighter feel. This is our go to place for theater distract meals. Love it!!!!!5/22/2013 12:00:00 AMDelicious, etc. etc.Our first visit to Etc. Etc. and we loved it. Restaurant was busy but was sat on time. The food was delish-lish! The chocolate pudding was super good and had a little texture. Will keep Etc Etc on our list for mid-town favs.5/19/2013 12:00:00 AMBeen fan of dinner at EtcEtcBeen fan of dinner at EtcEtc for a long time. Enjoyed my first brunch there last week. Great brunch menu covering the usual eggy standards but with choice of substantial entrees as well, for those who like to make Sunday brunch their meal of the day. Can't be beat! And a short walk to most theaters.5/19/2013 12:00:00 AMEtcetera Etcetera, is oneEtcetera Etcetera, is one of our favorite pre-theater restaurants. As always, the food was really good but the service was off. It took a very long time for our entrees to come out and the waiter gave no explanation. Same thing with the coffee. Disappointing but we will return.5/18/2013 12:00:00 AMexcellent theater district choiceWe had dined here some time ago. Friday nite we were a party of four meeting for pre theater dinner. Requested a quiet table and were seated at the quietest table in the rear of the restaurant. Handsome decor. Excellent, attentive service, modest priced food. Salmon, Risotto and chicken dishes were very good as was dessert.5/17/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat but too Close for comfortThe food and service were fantastic but the accommodations/seating put us right against others. I would have liked a little more personal space.. That being said, I would stillrecommend the restauarant highly to others.5/17/2013 12:00:00 AMgood all aroundThe prix fixe lunch was limited in choice but excellent and a good value. The location is convenient to the theater district. The wait staff was responsive and friendly and our waiter was actually funny.5/15/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat pre-theater spot!Food was excellent, a lot of unique menu choices, will go back to try more. Friendly, attentive staff. Great for pre-theater.5/15/2013 12:00:00 AMBeen here a few times at thisBeen here a few times at this point, great place, plan on going back5/14/2013 12:00:00 AMTriple threat...We've been to Etcetera many times since it opened and it never disappoints. The food is always good and the service just as wonderful. What's especially pleasing about this gem is the reasonable prices. Three of us shared a few plates so we could experience more. The pappardelle with lamb ragu was especially delicious, the burrata was fresh and creamy and the eggplant parm nicely seasoned. The mixed drinks and wine were affordable. It's the perfect stop for a pre-theater meal or post-theater get-together.5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMMeeting up1st time at Etcetera. Living outside NYC and meeting a friend from SF for dinner. Picked this place from Open Table reviews and was very happy with choice. The food was good and the service was fine. As we did not have to rush to leave for a Show we spent our time enjoying the dinner and chatting up. I would go back again. It was a good find.5/8/2013 12:00:00 AMGood Italian/MediterraneanGood Italian/Mediterranean food in a hip, modern setting. Gets crowded, and very noisy. Tables are close together. Service is brisk. They offer a reasonable $35 prix fixe.5/8/2013 12:00:00 AMPre-theater sophisticated ItalianIt's always hard to find a good restaurant in the theater district so we reserved a table at the last minute at ETCETERA ETCETERA with no greater expectation than getting dinner before our play. What a nice surprise then to find a sophisticated Italian menu, very well thought out and expertly prepared. In addition, they honored our OpenTable request for a quiet table and prompt service so we could make our 7pm curtain.5/7/2013 12:00:00 AMWe enjoyed this restaurantWe enjoyed this restaurant very much... since we prefer quieter atmospheres we would recommend that you make a resi for 7:45 or later , due to the theater crowd usually leaves at that time and it is pleasantly quieter.4/26/2013 12:00:00 AMA nice pre theatre optionLooking at reviews for a pretheater dinner at Signature, I came across this place. We passed up the couple outside tables, even though it was nice weather, they just didn't look that appealing. Inside though was nice and we two were seated at a table, which we prefer to the scrunchy banquette seating. Husband got the $35 pre theatre dinner of striped bass, arrugula salad, and lemon eclair. I had delicious beet salad and
Caramalle pasta. All were wonderful. A basket of fabulous bread with tapenade was also included. Service by waiter and a host of effiicient bussers was very efficient and unobtrusive.4/26/2013 12:00:00 AMAlways delicious with wonderfulAlways delicious with wonderful service. Attentive to needs of theater goers.4/26/2013 12:00:00 AMAfter more than 1/2 dozenAfter more than 1/2 dozen times this is one of our favorites in the neighborhood. It's a great theatre-district restaurant, and the a la carte choices are superior. Staff is energetic and attentive. Etc Etc is my first choice for a pre-theatre dinner.
(Dessert is the only disappointment.)4/11/2013 12:00:00 AMGood food and value in the TheatreA reasonably priced, tasty meal served with pre-theatre efficiency got us to our 8:00 PM show with plenty of time. We opted for the soup of the day, an arugula salad and three different pastas, all of which were good. I would definitely come here again for dinner before a show.4/8/2013 12:00:00 AM
