ESTATE Ultra Bar | Yacht Club is a "social dining + drinking" destination with a Dining Menu that features a playful approach to seasonal American fare. Available Dinner and Late Night, most plates are presented in sharable portions, but are hearty enough for one.


The Drinking Menu has original cocktail recipes created with modern techniques, plus specialty 'Skinny' drinks. Additionally, the U-Bar for the iGeneration has an extensive craft beer selection from many Midwest breweries and imported favorites both on tap and by the bottle. Wine enthusiasts will be pleased to find a well-rounded global selection available by the glass and bottle.

  • "We visited on a Thursday night and were pleasantly surprised. The downstairs scene was quite plush. The rooftop offers amazing views of the city with a great ambiance. The drinks were perfect and the food was quite tasty. The lobster mac'n'cheese is a must have. You'll also enjoy the glazed salmon or deviled eggs. The portions are size able and definitely shareable. Stop in and enjoy the experience!"

  • "The parking lot is hard to get into and the outside leaves something to be desired. But once you're inside, you are definitely in for a treat. Roof top dining is a must. Beautiful views of the Chicago skyline and a vibrant scene. Great service, fabulous drinks and awesome food. The portions are definitely shareable for 2-3 people. Order up and enjoy! FYI, I had the lobster mac 'n' cheese, salmon, deviled eggs, and the rock shrimp. Enjoyed every bite!"

  • "The reason for selecting this restaurant for dinner was based upon their website and link on Thrillist, very deceiving. The outside structure makes it look more of a club, but still eye appealing. When inside you walk right into the bar. All other seating was cold and placed randomly. I would only consider going their for drinks. The food was sub-par. Tried all of the sliders and nothing to rave about. The service was awkward, in the sense one entree at a time came to the table. By the time all of the food arrived the first persons food was cold. I would not recommend to any client or friend."

  • "Had a horrible service experience at ultra bar. It was sad because food and ambiance were good and we wanted to like this place. Our server took forever to get our order then never checked on us and we had to wave someone else down just for water!! Our bill took forever to pay and the 18% gratuity was already built in and we weren't allowed to remove it. Manager didn't care we were waiting an hour and didn't do anything to fix the situation. Will never go back. So many better places right down the street that I would rather spend money at and get way better food and service."

  • "We had reservations for the roof top weeks in advance and was told it wasn't clean when our party arrived. We ended up having a split group as there weren't enough tables outside on the river to accommodate my party. It was difficult as I was visiting home from out of state and I had to split my time from my family and friends outside to friends on the inside, which isn't what I wanted. By the time they had the roof top deck open, most of my party decided to leave, which was upsetting to me and a loss of revenue for the Estate. I enjoyed the scene, the ambiance, the food and the bartender made a great margarita. However, the service was slow, the waitress didn't bring silverware and the food got cold and the items were all put on one bil"

  • "Went there for Sunday brunch... and since they open at 11:30AM it was no problem getting a table right away (on the patio overlooking the river). The food was a good combination of lunch (we had the lobster mac and cheese) and breakfast (the lobster tail benedict) both of which were excellent. The place was starting to fill up when we left, so I think we timed it just right. So, I think we'll be back soon as the food and service was great... and not having to wait an hour to be seated for brunch on a Sunday was even better!"

  • "I had a great time there with my friend who flew in from Cali. We had only booked r.s.v.p for dinner. At the last minute we requested an earlier time and it was fine so we got there before the sun was setting and enjoyed the outdoor view. We loved our server and after leaving she let us go upstairs to the balcony for a better view, but mentioned we werent on the list and so we couldnt stay up there. We liked was we saw and wanted to stay so we asked the owner and he was able to provide us with a table as long as we agreed to do bottle service and we were more than fine with that and so we enjoyed a bottle of champagne along with drinks and shots and danced the night away. My only request is that it stays open later! i will be coming back:)"

  • "We went here for brunch on a Sunday. It wasn't busy, but it has only been opened for a couple weeks. Their brunch menu had a lot of good unique items. We got french toast with nutella. A must try! We also got a breakfast croissant that was to die for. After we ate brunch, the roof wasn't even opened yet, but we asked about it and we got a tour. Amazing view can't wait to go back at night!"

  • "This was my first time dining at this place. I called to see if we could move our reservation for 30 minutes later (reservation was at 7:30pm) - and the woman said no. We arrived on time. The place was dead, and it remained this way for the following 2 hours. The food and drinks were average. The positions of the tables were horrible, because it was right near the kitchen entrance, of which the door was left adjar. Our server was nice, but at the end of our dining (we decided we wanted to leave early), she confused our bill with another table. The WORST part of all? THERE ARE NO CABS! We kindly asked the "bouncer" to try to flag one for us, and he responded, "it's not my job."30 minutes to flag a cab! DON'T COME HERE!"

  • "There was a large party on the rooftop of the restaurant, and it was clear that was the main focus for the staff. All of the other tables in the restaurant (ours included) were lucky to get service. They had a DJ for the party, so it felt like we were eating dinner at a dance club, and not a nice patio. I could understand if it were a Friday or Saturday night, but this was Sunday, and we just wanted a relaxing dinner outside. Our waitress was definitely flustered and tried very hard to take care of us, but the restaurant was understaffed and everything (food and drinks) took a long time. This restaurant has a lot of potential, but with the amount of great restaurants there are in city, I do not plan to go back."

  • "Our group had a nice time here. It was a Tuesday night so it wasn't crowded at all. We ordered appetizers and actual meals and all food was fairly good. Our waitress was accommodating when we asked to taste all three skinny drinks before ordering a carafe of it. Unfortunately all three skinny drinks we pretty bad so we ended up drinking our usual mixed drinks. The only complaint I have was the waitress brought cake pops out to us and put them in front of me like it was my birthday. No one at our table ordered them. She told us to enjoy them anyways. But then she charged us for them on our bill! It was odd. Overall experience was good and we will go back again someday."

  • "This place is a diamond in the rough. The outside is not desirable, but inside the decor is modern. There are lounge areas which are good for those that don't want to hang at the bar the whole night. I had the calamari and it was excellent. It was Tuesday's special so you couldn't beat the price. I would definitely go back, but expect high noise levels unless you're dining outside and they boast of rooftop dining, but it is NOT even available."

  • "I made a reservation for 8. I thought the website said the rooftop was open in May 2012 but it was not open. We wanted to sit outside but there was only a table for four. There was some confusion/contradiction going on because the hostess kept saying that the table was reserved but their website says they don't take reservations for outside so how was the table reserved. Apparently you can't reserve online but if you call you can. She was trying to be accomodating but we were just fed up and left. We didn't eat or barely sat down."

I would recommend hiring a wait staff with at least GEDs, as the only requirement now seems to be that one looks good in a little black dress.   • "We went on a Tuesday night so it was very quiet but this place looks like it rocks on weekends. The lobster rolls are pretty much all bread with a spoonful of lobster so avoid it. Calamari was a bit salty. The best were the angus mini burgers, shrimp, and tomatoes with goat cheese. The sangria was great and they have a decent selection of beer. The view of the river is great and the decor is chic and loungy. I would definitely like to try this place on a weekend and explore the menu a bit more. Worth giving it a shot."

All chicken means, no estate wings, no boneless wings, no Harissa Chicken, no Blackened Chicken, no Chicken sandwich...nearly 1/3 of the entire menu was unavailable. Good thing they weren't busy. Had some hummus and went onto Prasino for a much better experience."
