  • "The dining concept for Estancia Currascaria is unique in many ways. To watch the servers scurry around from table to table with all the superbly cooked entrees is a treat in itself. It's like a choreographed dinner dance. The food is so delicious I find it impossible to turn over my chip to get them to stop tempting me. You can almost make a full meal out of the salad bar itself. Then there's the deserts. It's bad you you've loaded yourself down the all the decadent meatly morsels but the deserts are just as tantalizing as well as large in portions. We took my niece & her fiancée there to celebrate their upcoming wedding & the entire experience was PERFECT! If I need a place to celebrate an occasion, it will be there!"

  • "I had been to churrascarias in Brazil and the US, and the American version always pales in comparison to the Brazilian original. I've never been to Fogo de Chao, which I think of the most popular churrascaria chain in the US, but Estancia was definitely better than the others I've been to in the US. Due to the price point, you really need to be a big eater to get your value. The salad bar was fine--tasty, traditional options but nothing exotic. The wine list was huge, but we had caipirinhas instead, which were delicious. I could have had five! But you usually go for the meat, and the meat options and quality did not disappoint. You probably won't like it all (I'm not a lamb guy), but you'll find something delicious."

  • "Filet mignon. Well-done. Every piece we got. The default for filet mignon should be medium rare. Or maybe medium. One should not have to make a special request for filet that's not overcooked. Aside from the desecration of the filet, the rest of the food gets a "fair" rating. It wasn't bad, but there was no artistry to the cuisine--it was just cooked meat, bereft of complex flavor. And the chimichurri sauce was thin and vinegary to boot, so dressing it up didn't help. One saving grace was a very good, reasonably-priced bottle of cabernet, charmingly presented and decanted by the sommelier."

  • "This is my boyfriend's favorite restaurant, so we go here for every birthday, anniversary, promotion, etc. Love it here and love that their new location is so much more centralized. Very beautiful inside. The "gauchos" make you feel like royalty the way they serve you. I definitely recommend this place to everyone I talk to."

  • "Other than the bottom sirloin, the meat was pretty bland. Not much flavor at all. The mashed potatoes tasted "grainy" and flavorless. We usually love this place, but this time we were pretty disappointed. We aren't sure if this was just an off night, or if this is the new norm. On the bright side, the service was fantastic as it almost always is."

  • "We went here for a birthday celebration. It was a friend's birthday and also his first time to a Brazilian steakhouse. Definitely had a very memorable time here they got him a free birthday dessert which was very nice. Papaya cream was awesome. My friend was surprised at how much meats he could eat for the night. Favorites were the lamb chops and juicy filet mignon. Top sirloin was very tender too. We will be coming back soon!!"

  • "I was impressed by the online reservations including on my phone. I specified a 7 person table with some low noise because a member of the party is hard of hearing. We showed up 30 min early and they still managed to get us seated in minutes. Amazing food, amazing services, amazing desserts, amazing wine, amazing cocktails, amazing coffee - just outstanding. I was so impressed. It was a very special not for us and to have a restaurant be so perfect was fantastic."

  • "I ordered a custom flower arrangement for our dinner date and had it delivered. I was pleased to see it was on the table when we arrived! The lamb is the best! Don't be afraid to say no to meat you don't want - they come hard and fast as soon as you flip your chip over. Let them choose a good Cabernet for your meal. The wine is very expensive so brace yourself and then drink it with a smile! It really sets off the lamb and is worth it. The salad bar is to die for. But don't overload before the meat comes. Use it as a cooling off period between meat servings. That drink they offer at the end - the one they set on fire - do NOT skip that. Heck if you're not starving, go straight to that and skip the meat!"

  • "The main purpose of going to a brazilian steakhouse, as a brazilian, is to feel home. I did feel somewhat at home, a lot of portuguese speakers around us, but not a lot of attention from the servers, they werent paying attention to us, they were there, and the service was ok, but not premium, as I expected. The meat was definitely not as good as it could be. It was somewhat burned, not medium rare/medium with a good pink and juicy center. Not to mention the quality of the beef. It wasn't grass fed, for sure. All ingredients lack quality. Special requests seem to be impossible at this restaurant, and everything seems to be in a rush. Would not go back, if I want to have a fancy dinner or lunch, I'm willing to pay more to get the best."

  • "I will share one story of our dining experience to help you assess if you would like to visit Estancia Churrascaria: I order a $70 bottle of French Burgundy and it arrives promptly with a nice decanter. My very polite server pours the entire bottle into the decanter after inviting me to inspect the label, cork, and a quick sip. As I suspect, the wine is very tight, and I look forward to how the wine will open up in the decanter. Within 5 minutes, my server is wanting to pour me a glass, and I decline, because I would like to wait at least 20 minutes to let the decanter do it's work. Unfortunately, another server arrives and pours, without asking, all four glasses and the decanter is whisked away. So much for decanting my $70 wine."

  • "Meat was cooked to perfection. Different beef, pork, chicken and lamb meat. They do not offer seafood. The beef and pork cut was just perfect with balanced amount fat for juiciness and no fat for Tenderloins. Bacon rapped Filet Mignon, Lamb chop and Garlic Steak were my favorites. They had good selection of vegetable and cheeses but I had little so I can make room for meat."

  • "My husband and I go here a lot. We decided to go for Valentine's Day. It is a great romantic place and the food is wonderful. The only problem was that we were packed like sardines. There was NO ROMANCE at all. The couple that sat down next to us was like what are we on a double date? It truly felt like that. I understand that it was a holiday and you are busy, but please. We are paying a lot of money for some great food and great atmosphere and they did not deliver this night. We are frequent to this restuarant but are not sure we will be dining there again for a holiday. Day of the week or slow weekend, maybe."

  • "I had a reservation for 9pm on 2/14. When I arrived at 8:50 there were about 10 people in a line for the hostess desk and about 50+ more standing around outside. In the 6 minutes that I waited in line I heard numerous complaints and some raging about wait times. It seems that there were people with 7:30 and 8:00 reservations that were still waiting. The hostess informed me that it would be about a 45 minute wait; potentially longer from what I was hearing. I did not stay to find out how the food was, which is a shame because I was really looking forward to having dinner hear as it was my first time at Estancia. There were still people outside when I left the arboretum at about 10:45 as well."

  • "I took a business colleague and her two sons here while I was in Austin on business, and I can only say I wish I'd fasted for a week before! Talk about a FOODIE'S PARADISE! I could pitch a tent and LIVE next to that SALAD BAR!!! The beef was beyond description perfect, and I'm a huge fan of any place that makes me feel like the food will never run out... Juicy, tender, served exacly as I chose... quantity, variety, everything just PERFECT. Let's not forget the wine! We chose a fabulous Mendoza red to accompany the Brazilian beef! HIGHLY recommend Estancia Churrascaria - Arboretum!"
