The fare is American with bits of Mediterranean influences. The wine list has been recognized by Wine Spectator & Wine Enthusiast magazines. Esin Restaurant & Bar relocated in July of 2008 to the Newest upscale lifestyle center The Rose Garden in Danville. The freshly designed dining room offers warm and comforting tones. Diner Reviews
  • "Went to dinner to celebrate our son's birthday. Service was great, food was good (as always), and it was a very enjoyable dining experience. The menu always has something for everyone and the pot roast is a go to comfort food and is a can't miss meal. The staff made us feel welcome and took good care of us. We will be back!!"

  • "Delightful early dinner venue not to mention the delicious house salmon special"

  • "My husband and I went the other night for dinner and it was amazing. We had both been for lunch but never dinner. The experience was great. The staff was so welcoming the minute we walked in. We both had a cocktail which both were very good. I had the Mai Tai and my husband had the Lemon Basil Martini. I tried his and it was delicious. We started with the Pork Belly appetizer which was one of the best pork bellies I have ever had. For dinner I had the Filo Wrapped Chicken which was to die for. It had couscous and it was the best couscous I have ever had. My husband had the Brine Cured Pork Chop and it had soft Polenta. I tried his and it was perfection. The one complaint was we ordered white wine with our dinner and it was warm."

  • "We usually go to Esin for dinner and it is very often outstanding. My friend and I had one of the specials for lunch, the salmon salad with quinoa. The salmon was cooked perfectly but the salad was quite bland. It was a Wednesday and the place was not busy. I'll stick to dinner!"

  • "I have attended Esin for numerous occasions and have always come away touting the great meal. All the dishes, from starters to entrees to desserts, are always thoughtful and delicious. Esin has been a favorite of mine and has never disappointed. Thanks!"

  • "Cafe Esin is a large, beautifully-built space with lots of dark wood, natural light, a good-size bar and tables and chairs and booths. We had two terrific salads that were carefully composed with greens of varying types, cannellini beans, quinoa, protein (I had grilled shrimp, my friend the grilled salmon), and a sprinkling of chopped fried onions on top. It was very tasty although the vinaigrette was nothing special. The server was attentive to our needs, there when we needed her, willing to stay away for long periods as my friend and I caught up on each other's lives. It was a delightful experience and next time we'll have to try desserts which everyone says are house-made and delicious!"

  • "Three of us ordered their lamburger special. It was great. Served w/focaccia(?) bread and blue cheese. Served w/FFries (too crispy) or house made chips. My wife had the grilled shrimp salad which was good, but the shrimp really had that strong shrimpy taste."

  • "I've been to Esin many times over the years and it has always been great -- I was disappointed this time -- the food was really not that "tasty". Caesar salad tasted like it came from a fast food place (no flavor) and my salmon was paired with grains, etc. that overpowered it and really didn't taste good. Service remained very nice though."

  • "I love this place! They are welcoming and so attentive with their guest. I just moved here and came for lunch and twice so far for dinner and my friends and family just enjoyed our time here. Quality of service and food is excellent. Everything is fresh and beautifully presented. Another fav is the desserts!! OMG all of them are so delish, my fave is the lemon meringue tart n the chocolate mouse..I did come in once also to get a dessert to go..must have. Only thing they need to add, is room for bigger parties."

  • "Beyond beyond beyond totally delicious. We had a simple early dinner: Halibut and the lemon tart for desert. OMG I am still thinking about it. With tip (1 cocktail) it was $90. Worth every penny!"

  • "Took my two childen (10 and 13) for a small celebration dinner. Everyone was happy, and I appreciate the small plates as I am not a big eater, it gives the kids great options for trying new things without having a huge plate, and it makes it easy to save room for Esin's wonderful desserts!"

  • "1st time we ate here after their opening in this new location was wonderful. Second time we broght out of town family and it was awful including we had a snobbish, know it all, ill-mannered waiter. Third time it was just us and it was very nice. 4th visit we brought friends - they did not like anything except the dessert. I think we are done now."

  • "We have been to Esin three times and have had wonderful dinners each time. The menu is creative and made with the best local ingredients. The service is excellent. Reservations are needed! Dining at the bar is also fun, but you'd better arrive early to get a seat. I'm going to try it for lunch soon, and know I won't be disappointed. I'm on a restricted diet (gluten free / dairy free) and am happy with the choices. Plus they are open to modifying items to fit my needs."

  • "Our waiter Dan was great, knowable attentive, the manager even apologized because there was a 50th. birthday celebration in front of us. It was fine and the food was fresh and the brie flatbread w/ pear and walnuts i can still taste it if i think about this restaurant. I'm a bit of a foodie and we are on our way again to enjoy this Danville neighborhood gem.. O and it's right off S680"

  • "We went there for our anniversary. The food was excellent as was the service. I would have liked a more intimate table and it is a little noisy. It is expensive but well worth it."

  • "The lamb burger special with goat cheese and arugula on ciabatta was superb. Cooked medium rare, it was tender and moist. As a treat I tried the bread pudding of the day which was wonderful."

  • "Tucked away in a shopping strip mall you'll find an eclectic restaurant with a menu not indicative of the suburbs. Small plate offerings, comfort food, delicious soups for starters offer a diverse menu that will keep you going back to try another dining experience fit for any foodie's dream."

  • "This is always our #1 choice for any special occasion, lunch, dinner, any time. Always consistent and great."

  • "Esin has great food, at reasonable prices. The four of had up to five courses each, ranging from a sashimi appetizer to steak to banana cream tart. The special martinis were tasty, and the food is very reasonably priced for a fit-for-foodies, white table cloth type of restaurant (many under $20.) This is the second year in a row we have gone here for my best friend's birthday dinner. Great service, too. HIghly recommend!"

  • "Esin truly is a fantastic restaurant. The food is always amazing, fresh and inventive! Lunch menu never disappoints, always has super fresh delectable dishes with generous portions. The atmosphere is always relaxing even in the middle of a hectic day. Dinner menu is amazingly great and the atmosphere at dinner time is romantic with the dim lights. Service is incredible, accommodating and friendly. Their wine list impressive. Love their 3 wine tasting options. Anyone interested in trying delicious California cuisine with a Mediterranean twist should visit Esin, and will be impressed!"

  • "This wonderful restaurant remains our favorite in Danville and there is something special on the menu for everyone! The pot roast is particularly great, with savory flavors and baby vegetables. The service is friendly and efficient. If you haven't been it is worth the visit."

  • "MmEntreesn were perfect, the pork chop and duck confit. The Caesar salad, while very flavorful was room temperature and would have been outstanding had it been cold. Service by Nicole could not have been better....attentive, friendly yet not over fussy. It's a wonderful place for dinner. We seem to forget that it's there when looking for a place to eat. Shame on us."

  • "Esin is always a great place to eat. Their menu is rock solid and they usually have some wonderful specials. The shining star through is the desserts! 10+ choices from pies to cakes to brow nines, all with a special touch to make them over the moon delicious. The banana cream pie is to die for. The pot roast is always a favorite too. This visit I had the chicken stuffed with feta, wrapped in a phylo dough. It was not my favorite so I won't order it again.....this is a super popular restaurant so you will definitely need reservations"

  • "We have enjoyed a number of dinners at Esin however our meals on this occasion were very disappointing. The pork chop I ordered was so heavily permeated with bacon that you couldn't taste the chop. I couldn't take a second bite and my husband was kind enough to switch with me although he didn't care for it either. His mahi mahi was blah as were the accoutrements. My beet salad was okay but nothing special. We did not have any dessert or coffee and our bill was $97.00 with one drink each. Needless to say we won't be going back anytime soon."

  • "It was my wife's 35th birthday, which I noted in my original OpenTable reservation, and just as soon as we walked in the door, my wife was greeted with a "Happy Birthday!" She felt special from the start, and as soon as we sat down, bread and water was immediately placed on our table. Our waiter (Brian, I believe) was energetic, friendly and when he told us all the specials, he actually said them at a pace you can understand, pausing between each explanation so we could digest the images and tastes swirling around in our heads. The food was spectacular. We ordered an appetizer special and oysters. For the main course, I had the cod special, and my wife had a burger. We shared a mocha cheesecake for dessert and we enjoyed ourselves immensely"
