"Although our dinner experince here was good, we were a little disappointed. We tried the marinated crab claws we hear so much about and they were tough and old tasting. The meat did not just slide of the claw like they are suppossed to. My husband was disappointed in his steak and the quality of the silverware. I got the special, the flounder, and it was delicious, but covered in butter and a heavy cream :/ I was scared what it may do to my tummy later... However, the bread that is served at Ernest's is AMAZING!! We ate way too much of that, and we also ordered the bread pudding for dessert and it was DELISH! And we had a wonderful waiter!"

"We dined at Ernest's on the 27h of March, and I was very disappointed with the evenings dining experience.
Let me give you the reasons why I was disappointed.
The specials were never explained to us as we received the menus.From there, it started out with pulling the tableware from the napkin. For being an upscale restaurant, the tableware,salt and pepper shakers were cheap looking like they belong in a diner, not a fine restaurant such as yours.
We started out with outstanding crab claws and bread, so I thought that dinner was back on track.
It was a hard choice for my main entree, but I chose the Snapper Ernest. The crab topping was extensive that I found it hard to fine the Snapper, and when I did, it was so over cooked."

They actually put a canned peach on the fish meal and think it is a side dish
Fish is fishy

"The food was wonderful. The service was outstanding, and I am not easily impressed. It is nice to know that there are still a few really good restaurants left that are not part of some corporate chain. I plan to become a regular."

"It was our first visit and we did enjoy the food and ambiance. We went there for a special occasion (closing on a house). Though we did enjoy it, we would keep our visits to special occasions, as it is pricy (and we knew that going in). Our head waiter was very knowledgable about the menu and anything we asked. The service was superb and one of the waiters even followed us out the door with our to-go box, as we had left it on the table upon our departure. Wine appeared to be by the bottle only, so we ordered cocktails instead. There were mixed to perfection in our opinion."

"Ernest was recommended to us by friends. We went there expecting good food but the food and service was excellent. We set in the bar area, which we highly recommend, where there was a one piece band singing 60-70 songs. He was very good. A tiny dance floor that will only fit 4-5 couples gave a chance to enjoy some easy dancing while waiting on the food. If you want to impress a date and have a very enjoyable evening, this is the place to go."
