A word from Erie Grill
A three-month renovation has expanded the original restaurant layout to create a new open floor plan that seamlessly transitions the restaurant from day to night.

Following lunch, the restaurant transitions itself into a lounge-like dining and drinking atmosphere by revealing liquor selections behind the bar, showcasing a vast wine selection, and softening lighting for the evening hours.

The menu offers a variety of crave-able Contemporary American cuisine that encompasses both coursed meals and smaller plates to share at a range of price points. Executive Chef John Freezee and Sous Chef Doug Dake imaginatively utilize seasonal ingredients to present the finest in regional cuisine.

Our party of four enjoyed the menu choices and our selections. The evening was spoiled by the extremely noisy atmosphere that made any conversation at our table impossible. Would not return due to the noise. Suggest the Erie Grill find some ways to reduce the noise level for those dining.

Brought my girlfriend there for her birthday dinner. We had both been here before for breakfast/lunch for work purposes but never for dinner. Meal was excellent and drinks were great. I had the Kobe meatloaf and she ordered the crab cakes. Her meal came out a bit burned but the kitchen manager quickly noticed it, rushed another order to her and took the meal off the bill (which was appreciated). Kind, courteous and attentive... It was a nice change from some of the pretentious places we have been to that have recently opened in the area. Would definitely dine here again.

We made a late reservation at the Erie Grill for Saturday night. We'd never been there before but were very pleasantly surprised. Entering the restaurant the décor was bright and stylish and there was a vibrant buzz about the place. In our party of 5 we shared 3 appetizers, all selected different main courses and also tried a couple of the desserts. Every dish was well prepared, nicely presented and tasted great. Our server was very good too - attentive and knowledgeable - and the food arrived in good time. This place was a good discovery for us and overall we had a great experience. We will most likely will be back again in the near future.

Stopped in for a quick light lunch pre-spa appointment. Always fresh salads with creative spin. We split the beet salad with savory crusted goat cheese on top. The lentil soup was light and clean like I would make at home. Topped off with a crisp glass of Chardonnay. Service was efficient and timely for appointment. Great on Tuesday nights BYOB to stop in with friends, business or significant other/spouse. Never disappointed. Excellent chef.

We dined here on OCT 18 for dinner after a day at the spa. The food was delicious. We started with the warm chips with avocado mash, a perfect pairing for our yummy cocktails. I had a Caesar salad which I found to be delightful with a hint of lemon. I also tried their Crispy Calamari with chile lime dipping sauce. It was well seasoned with terrific spice. A friend had the Kobe Meatloaf which was a huge portion and looked devine. I finished with the vanilla bean cheesecake - just the right ending to this meal. All in all a 'don't miss'. I would not go again without a reservation because it's a small dining room, unless we ate at the bar, which I would gladly do. The staff from barkeep to server were attentive and friendly.

When we arrived the hostess could not find our reservation. She also said there was no room for us in the half empty resturante. I insisted I made a reservation and she did not seem to care. After getting my blood pressure up and my wife upset then asked the bartender for a manager. The manager found our reservation and seated us. The food was good. Expensive. Bring your wallet and print your conformation. Sorry I won't be back.

The service was slow at first. Seems like they need better coordination on assignments and when customers are seated. After waiting a half hour, we brought this to the attention of the very prompt and always attentive busboy. He notified Shane, and the there was an apology and prompt and attentive service. Erika the manager also apologized and offered compensation of beverages from the bar and dessert. Everything went so well after that. The food was prepared well and was superb. We would certainly recommend and return.

I chose your restaurant because it is open on Monday, I wanted the ability to have a conversation with others in our party and that is frequently not possible at many restaurants, my husband and I had dined there before and thought it was outstanding and the view of the canal ( which had several racing skulls on it this past Monday evening) was superb and great fun for our guests from Kentucky to enjoy.it was a super dining experience. Waitstaff always on-point And friendly, food always delicious, FANTASTIC happy hour specials for drinks and appetizers.good job accommodating vegetarian diners in my party. one complaint the LED type lighting under the bar is distracting and annoying whether you're facing the bar or facing the window if you're there at night.they should just stick with the lighting that's on the bar glass.a great place to dine though - I would highly recommend it!

The Erie Grill is located at the back of the Delmonte Lodge property with a wonderful view of the Erie Canal. The menu is interesting without being pretentious and the specials, unlike at many restaurants, really are special. The wine list is extensive without being overwhelming and is well laid out so it's easy to zero in on what you are looking for (e.g., bold hearty reds, etc. ) While some of the hostesses tend to be a little less enthusiastic than one might like, the wait staff are gracious and knowledgeable about the food and drinks and very willing to provide requested changes. This is a restaurant where it is worth asking for a table with a view.I forgot to do that this last visit and we wound up with a view of the servers' station.

My first time here. I loved what I ate (duck meatballs and crab cakes) and my parents loved the burger and lamb. We had a great view of the canal (I tried not to associate the ducks floating by with my meatballs), and our server was very friendly. The service was slow, but others around us were served more quickly so I suspect there was a problem with our order specifically, but we we in no hurry. Nice atmosphere. Wish I had a place like this near me in LA!

The view! The decor! Pair that with an amazing inventive menu...incredible value at the bar for Happy Hour. We had a great experience n a quiet Sunday evening. We will be back. The friendly bartender had invented several of the great cocktails she was crafting and they were very tasty and strong. Not a huge draft beer selection but the bottle list and wine list were more than adequate. Menu had familiar standards taken to a new level (potato chips and dip, beet salad) and creative stuff that was delicious to discover (carrot gnocchi under grilled pompano special). Adding this place to our list of favorites.

The best part about the Erie Grill was the lovely view of the canal. Area is very active with people biking, walking and jogging, boats along the canal and train passing by on the bridge. The restaurant itself was tastefully decorated, staff very friendly and the wings and sweet potato fries the best we have ever had. The only drawback was it took awhile to get our food but we enjoyed the spectacular view while waiting. Would definitely recommend.

Steak was ordered medium rare came to us almost well. Waitress never asked if it was cooked properly and we only ate half. She also recommended the homemade chips and said she would place that for us to try and never brought them to us. I was also charged $1.00 for a taste of a wine before I ordered a glass. Never in my life have I ever experienced such behavior and I have dined at 5 star restaurants and no one has ever charged me to taste before ordered wine.

We dined at the Erie Grill with friends on a weekday evening. The restaurant was very lively, and somewhat loud. It quieted down after about 9 PM. We enjoyed our meals and our wine selections very much. We lucked onto a wine special event, and had the good fortune of having the sommelier come to our table with his excellent variety of interesting, unusual wines, and his thorough knowledge of the same. The Peach Melba dessert was innovative and delicious, and capped off a lovely, memorable night. We will be back!

The food was fantastic! We had 3 apps, a salad & one entree - the veggie flatbread was amazing, as were the duck meatballs.
