We had the peppers with sausage which was delicious. We both had the chicken soup with vegetables that was outstanding. I had the veal marsala which was amazing and my husband had the veal with mushrooms and peppers which was great. Also, our waiter was great and very nice. Even the busboy would fill our water glass immediately. We would highly recommend this restaurant. The lobster was so huge and flavorful, we had diners at nearby tables wanting take pics of the tail. My steak was cooked to perfection.. Great food, just what Chicago is known for. Their outdoor seating area is so lovely overlooing the Chicago River. We were promptly seated and service was excellent during the meal. Food was delicious and served in a timely manner. Called over to Erie Cafe and they were more than happy to take us in. This place is one of my 'goto' joints in the city. It's not a super busy place as not a lot of people know about it. But I like that because I can bop by pretty much any night of the week and get fantastic eats.
Portions are huge so sharing with your Wife, Girlfriend, SO, Date is an always an option.
The Prime Rib on Saturday is fantastic, but it does sell out, so get there early!!

We were a group of seven people from Denmark and I can only say we were very positively surprised. The food were excellent and accompanied with excellent wine thanks to a wine list which gave tribute to excellent wines from California. The ambiance in the restaurant was very nice and the interior made you feel back in the Chicago forties( although i am to young to remember :-). Not a lot of people know about this Gem. Food is Great, Service is Great, Their outdoor dining patio is fantastic during the summer months.
The portions are large, so splitting of Entree's is always an option if you're looking to keep the bill down to a minimum.
