"Food and service were terrific. The shrimp and grits is the best in the city. However, doesn't seem like the kind of place that needs multiple wide-screen TVs in the dining room. And this past Saturday, the one by our table was tuned to wrestling! But again, a great meal by Dean and his staff."

"While the atmosphere is cozy and the service was very attentive, the food on our visit was only so-so. The onion rings were so crispy they were hard to bite, the hot brown was too rich (never thought I would say that!) and the caesar salad was bland. The fish sandwich, however, was tasty."

"I'm a old country boy, don't like to dine in a fancy resturant and not to much on the bar scence. Jack's Lounge is what every small neighborhood needs. I wish it was closer to my family and I. Coming from Crestwood, KY. Prime Burger is the BEST in town/state. They always have some of the best specials. Every Date Night my wife & I have. We ended up coming here either for our main entree, dessert and/or drinks.. Great Atmosphere, very comfortable for any type of dining. Special occasion or just a great meal with friends & family. All wrapped up in 2 great places Equus/Jack's. Kerry is at the bar, Great place to set, he can make your day/night by building you a drink & suggesting great wine with the best food for the occasion. THANKS!!"

"Amazing food with very friendly and accomodating staff. Three distinct dining areas allowed for the bar scene, nice resturant atmosphere, or romantic lounge for a cozy quiet dinner. Will certainly be back!"

"Our entrees were excellent (Texas Red Fish & another fish that escapes my memory at this time) but we were disappointed in the duck small plate--not what we expected with only a smidgen of the bird . The pecan pie was very flavorful but the crust was so hard it was difficult to cut it with a knife.
We will be back."

"I felt the tables were too close, it was as if we were having dinner with the people at the table next to you. No way to have a private conversation with the people in your party. Food and service were great but I don't think it will be a place where I will dine often."

"We visited on a slow night (a Monday) with our 6 month old son and while we felt that Equus may not have been an ideal restaurant for a small child, the staff was very accommodating. We frequently take our son to dinner with us and he is very well behaved, considering that he has just learned that he has a voice. The food was phenomenal and the staff was very friendly. I had the fried chicken with mashed potatoes, greens, and gravy, and my husband had the pasta special. Our waiter seemed a bit shy and spoke very softly, but he took great care of us."

"I think Equus would benefit from applying better lighting. It's too dark. My husband advised the waitress that the Hot-Brown was a little salty the night we were there. Also, the chicken was a little too salty as well. Overall everything was fine and we would come back again.
