Epulo BistroCozy, Inviting, and Yummy!Decorations of the restaurant added an authentic/modern feel, the food is so well proportioned that splitting 2 starters and 4 entrees were enough to feed 5 mouths :) we had the lamb chops starter was my absolute favorite! And the rigatoni dish had a delightful taste of balanced cream and a few tiny chunks of what I thought was ham/bacon sprinkled over. Our linguini pesto pasta was also perfectly presented and it tasted as if it was very well crafted. Staff is super friendly and very patient! The place may look too modern for your tastes but I guarantee the food will change your mind.
Definitely gonna come back to this place, and it also makes me a proud resident of Edmonds to have such a fine restaurant in the neighborhood!6/15/2013 12:00:00 AMNot quite "hidden" gemEpulo Bistro is so delicious! The staff was incredibly friendly, it's not so busy that you're bumping into other customers, the ambience is one that can be catered to what you are feeling. I went to dinner with my mom, so it was a great casual yummy experience, but I can see if I were to go with my fiancée - a completely different vibe. I enjoy places that have the "multi-functional" feel to them so you don't limit them to one type of dining experience. I've already mentioned this fabulous little place to multiple people, and can't wait to go back!6/13/2013 12:00:00 AMPersonal faveIt was the first time we have had a large party there. Usually there are anywhere from two to four of us.
This time the only issue was that it was a bit noisy, but it was Saturday night and very busy.
The waitress we had this time was not quite as attentive as the others we have had in the past, but she was good.
I will go back again for sure.6/8/2013 12:00:00 AMEpulo is one of our favoriteEpulo is one of our favorite restaurants! The service is wonderful and the food is delicious.6/7/2013 12:00:00 AMepulo reviewExcellent food and service. Busy and a bit noisy as expected in a bistro.5/31/2013 12:00:00 AMFresh and creative specials menuFrom the warm welcome, to the service, to the fresh menu selections, to the execution of the meal, we are finding Epulo Bistro to be our go to place for a great experience! Thanks, Kelli & Bill Loughrin5/30/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellent AgainA group of us get together once a year or so and we always seem to return to Epulos. It has an eclectic menu, suitable for vegetarians as well carnivores or those in between. Service is always good, but there is a bit of noise. I would suggest sitting in one of the booths. The bar is very handsome and also has an energetic feel. I definitely would suggest reservations. Parking can be a little tough, but you can usually find sport within a block or so.5/21/2013 12:00:00 AMTook us a long time to finallyTook us a long time to finally go to this restaurant because it opened in the space of an older restaurant that we didn't really care for...but we finally did and WOW!!! We loved it, the food was delicious, the service was wonderful. The tables are a little small and you feel a bit close to your neighbor, but all and all the experience was well worth it. The menu offered slighly unique dishes, including grass fed beef and their own original drinks, although we just enjoyed a couple glasses of wine. Epulo is our new fave in Edmonds.5/17/2013 12:00:00 AMOutstanding Mother's Day Brunch!!The menu for the brunch was exceptional - VERY hard to decide which of the delightful offerings to order. What we opted for was better than expected. Portions were the right size and attention to all the important details were covered.
Really do wish they would bring back their Sunday brunch hours. This is a gem that needs to be enjoyed over and over!!5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMDelightfulWarm, cozy, comfortable, excellent service,
And really good food.5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMOur first time at this lovelyOur first time at this lovely restaurant. Atmosphere was warm and friendly, the service excellent and accommodating. The food was to "die for", the best halibut my husand and I have ever had. Thank you, Epulo Bistro. We will be back!!5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMA local favoriteHave never had a bad meal or bad experience at Epulo. The menu changes up regularly, with wonderful specials. It is usually hard to decide what to have, the choices all sound so good. The pizzas make good appetizers, and they offer a number of small plate options for those who want variety. Great place for dinner before a show at the Edmonds Center for the Arts, too.5/10/2013 12:00:00 AMHot new restaurant with funny nameA friend & I tried Epulo on Friday night after making reservations on Open Table and found it to be a most excellent experience. We ordered the lamb chops on the "small bites" portion (1 order each) of the menu along with the green beans (shared) and they were both absolutely delicious. It was filling enough, but so good we wanted more. I will be going back very soon. A great find.5/10/2013 12:00:00 AMThis is my 3rd time for anThis is my 3rd time for an early dinner. My gal friends like the small plates (to share). We leave very satisfied and happy.5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMThe use of israeli couscousThe use of israeli couscous with the steamed clams was an interesting twist. The sauce on my friend's rigatonni was rich and decadent. I had the house special wood fired pizza. Nice crisp bottom crust with a chew to the center and nice balance of toppings. Very ample portion for one person (and I can put away some pizza). Short but worthy offering of wines by the glass. Service was on par for a bistro environment. Seating is kind of tight if your table is other than one of their booths. I will definitely return.5/3/2013 12:00:00 AMDinner cost a little moreDinner cost a little more than we usually spend, but so worth it!
The roasted cauliflower was very good, and they had Kusshi oysters- the best!
The short ribs were fork tender and very tasty and the chicken with risotto was heavenly.
With a nice wine and good friends.4/26/2013 12:00:00 AMThis is Edmonds' best restaurant. This is Edmonds' best restaurant. Always a great choice. Combined a great dinner with friends at ePulo with a concert at nearby Edmonds Center for the Arts (which is about 3 blocks away). A great night out on the town without having to deal with traffic into Downtown Seattle.4/24/2013 12:00:00 AMRight on!We had a great evening at Epulo Bistro. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was perfect. I must however point out that we were charged $5 more for the bottle of wine than listed in the menu and $2 more for each glass of port that we ordered. The waitress blamed it on a new menu for the evening and credited us the mistake. Other than that, the place is great. The bartender, Sean, really enjoys his job and made great recommendations. All in all, a wonderful neighborhood gem, our new favorite place in Edmonds!4/20/2013 12:00:00 AMYES GO!Excellent use of fresh unique vegetables with main courses. Tasting menu was delightful and chocolate dessert made with THEO chocolate was a must have!4/20/2013 12:00:00 AMThis is our third time toThis is our third time to have dinner at Epulo since February when we discovered it -- and we live in Seattle surrounded by good food! Wonderful place with truly amazing food. Every item has been flawless. Good waitstaff and nice atmosphere.4/19/2013 12:00:00 AMEpulo is our new go-to restaurantEpulo is our new go-to restaurant for date night! Thankfully we made a reservation- the restaurant was packed on Friday night with a handful of people waiting for a table. We were seated immediately.
The service was great and the food was divine. Our waitress walked us through the menu to let us know details about each dish not listed. Never would we order chicken at a restaurant, but the sous vide thighs were at a level that we cannot match at home. The short rib was consistent with our previous visit- delicious.4/19/2013 12:00:00 AMGood place for an intimate dinnerThe food was fresh and well-prepared. My wife had roasted cauliflower and I had the polenta fries as starters. They were both big enough to share, and were interesting dishes. We both ordered the tenderloin, with ramps (breaded and fried), mashed parsnips, and foraged mushrooms. I asked for "bleu" and my wife ordered "medium." Hers arrived medium, and mine arrived rare. (This is pretty typical these days, so I'm not dinging the restaurant--just complaining in general.) We were a bit rushed that night, and did not get to try the wine list or the bar service. There were some interesting cocktails on the menu, though.4/17/2013 12:00:00 AMA great place to go.I was pleasantly surprised when my meal arrived. It looked much better than what I was expecting, and tasted great! We will go back to experience more items from the menu.4/6/2013 12:00:00 AMPricey, but worth itThe food and drinks are delicious here and worth the price for me. I was here for dinner in a party of 4 and we each had a cocktail and an entree and the check was $120. I highly recommend the Raindrop cocktail and the rigatoni dish.4/6/2013 12:00:00 AMThis was our first time eatingThis was our first time eating at Epulo. The food, atmosphere, and service were great. We will return to Epulo to continue working thru the menu as everything we had was memorable.4/6/2013 12:00:00 AMGood first experienceFirst time there.Went for Easter brunch and experience was good. Want to return to try restaurants menu of choices.3/31/2013 12:00:00 AMInteresting menu with dailyInteresting menu with daily specials, the food was excellent. Service was great and friendly, even with a very busy Friday night. It's a little noisy but it is a hot spot.3/15/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat small plate selections,Great small plate selections, all interesting and flavorful. Limited entree numbers but sufficient variety to satisfy most. Most interesting bistro in Edmonds.3/15/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat Vslentine's Day DinnerThis place was nice a packed but not in a bad way... It was nice to see people in and out and waiting... And with good cause because it is a great place.2/14/2013 12:00:00 AM
