We had been here about a month ago for a home football game and had a delightful evening. The service was great, the food was wonderful and it came out quick. This past weekend was very different. The food was good, but it took a good 30- 45 minutes to come to our table, after we ordered. As with tapas, we expected them just to keep bringing dishes. They brought them all at once and then we ordered again and it took another 30 minutes. We were at the restaurant for 2 hours. Our waitress did not give us updates nor did she check on us. We had to find her to order more drinks. It was a frustrating night.

Have visited Tuscaloosa several times over the last 20 years visiting various restaurants. This is by far the best and an equal experience to many of the best restaurants we've visited in other cities. Waitress was wonderful!

Amid the many fried, hamburger and greasy options is Epiphany Cafe! The small plate, farm to table concept is interesting but understand you will need to order 2 dishes to fill up. If there's something on the menu that says "for 2"..that means it's perfectly fine for 1 if you order as a main dish. We had a party of 10 split between 2 tables. The waiter was very knowledgeable and friendly but definitely overwhelmed. Please note, the food does take a while to prepare and be delivered...ask for bread!!! We waited quite a while for the first course. 2nd course, not so bad! ps..if you order a vodka drink or martini,,,ask for 2. You'll see why!!

Tres Jackson always does a good job with the food. The quality is pretty consistent and the dishes always seem quite tasty. I had a crispy fried quail in a sweet chili sauce as my main course that was quite tasty. We shared a fried oysters plate (3 people) as an appetizer. The wine list is not great but is decent. The prices are quite reasonable for this quality and the presentations are simple, yet elegant. Along with Kozy's, they have the most upscale food in town; although we will need to see if Chris Hastings' (Hot & Hot Fish Club) new restaurant "ups the ante" once he opens.

I found Epiphany through OpenTable when I was traveling through Tuscaloosa. It was a very pleasant surprise! If you're a foodie and/or passionate about your cocktails, I recommend it highly. Fantastic food, terrific knowledgeable service, awesome cocktails. Great bar with those high-end goodies you love. A note about the menu: don't worry that it's not online. It changes often because of the farm-to-table, locally sourced dishes. Very inventive and creative food. Just do it!

Aside from the food and service being great, and they keep the menu interesting with a nice mix of items that typically are always present and new things you didn't see last time (on both the food and drink menus). Easily our favorite place to go for a very nice meal or special occasion.

This was our second visit at Epiphany. The food and cocktails were just as yummy as we remembered. We ordered the brussel sprouts which were amazing. One ordered the flounder special, one catfish, one trout, and one pork belly. All plates were cleaned. Two chocolate cakes and a cheeseplate were then devoured. It was a nice evening and I do believe this is the best gourmet, foodie restaurant in Tuscaloosa. I feel the prices are good for the quality.
