We were delighted to get such fine food for the low price.
After ordering the Little Gem Salad, we shared two fabulous dishes, the Grilled King Salmon and Pan Roasted Chicken along with
a glass of wonderful Pinot Noir. The dessert, Strawberry Shortcake resting on a pool of vanilla bean Creme Anglaise,
rounded out our meal.
The attentive service, stunning waterfront view, and beautiful architecture were very impressive. The fine meal and beautiful ambiance made for a wonderful afternoon. After our experience, all three of us pledged to come back as often as possible, dragging with us as many out-of-town visitors as we can. The food was delicious. From the corn bisque through the main course (in our case, a half chicken, short rib sandwich and prawn salad) to the deconstructed strawberry shortcake for dessert, we were delighted and impressed. The list of wines offered by the glass is spot on. Chef Jan from Louisiana, as are we, he introduced himself to us at the table. We talked about LA and high schools and other restaurants in LA. Very pleasant, humble man.

Definitely recommend to anyone who is NOT a vegetarian. The service was great, the decor is rustic with old machinery as features, and it has warm atmosphere. I had the 14oz prime rib, it was possibly the best steak I've had anywhere. And I've sought out good steaks form Australia to London. The sides were great too, and servings were very generous. I told the staff about my wife's birthday, so they placed us at a table right near the window for the best view. The ambiance is always warm, the energy in the various spaces is always alive with celebration and good feelings in the air. The half shell oysters as appetizers was a huge hit with everyone!! Many of us had beef brisket which absolutely excellent!! Everyone is courteous, highly professional, charming and all about customer service What could be better?
Everytime my girlfriend and I come to the City, we can't help but stop at the Epic roasthouse. We strongly recommend this wonderful restaurant to our friends and relatives. Dinner notable for their steaks. A fantastic Prime Rib roast. Good wine selection but (expectedly) too bad the prices are so inflated. Always seemed to me that more reasonable wine prices would encourage more choices and greater movement of merchandise. Requested a spot with great view and was very happy with where we were sat. They immediately acknowledged our anniversary which was a surprise! Our waiter, Paul was amazing ! Paul knew everything on the menu and when we inquired about a few of the dishes, he could describe those selections in detail. Service was efficient, but not rushed...and always with a smile.
The $ 46 New York Steak was enormous and delicious!
Not something you do every day, but it was fun to splurge in such a cool restaurant.

The table my husband and I were seated had a great view for one but not the other. The table we sat at was set long ways (a table for 2) and because of the noise in the restaurant we couldn't here each other talking...so we didn't. The view from inside the restaurant is amazing but outside, it's breathtaking! We sat at an intimate table along the waterfront outside and took in the view while we drank our cocktails. Their sommelier is very helpful and not pushy. We ordered the scallops and the rib eye with sides of Mac and cheese and roasted potatoes. Everything was cooked to perfection and their rib eye is out of this world good. Our server was attentive throughout dinner but went MIA once we asked for the check - we didn't complain much as it allowed us more time to admire the bay bridge lights.
